Very good. I don't know if you do this with him, but you should ask him to tell you the directions on how to write the letters. Is he able to go around the room to point and say what things are that begin with each letter?

@boihitbycar Absolutely! Great idea! Thanks. Like I said before, he has come along so far even though he is in the autism spectrum, he is learning to read and writes beautifully now.

@classroom2home You are right, and ever since I read your comment I am aware now that I need to praise my boy more often, thanks for letting me know. Also, he has come along so far, he is reading, his handwritng is beautiful and excelling on spelling tests.
