cas was the one who brought back sam from hell, in season 6, the episode, the man who knew to much, Castiel confess of bring back sam and Sam brought up a very good point. Did Castiel bring back Sam souless on purpose? To gain Sam's soul would mean Dean would have to deal with a brother that doesn't give a rats ass about anything. Plus Is the biggest "monster" of them all, drinking demon blood. So to gain Sam's soul would mean Castiel would have had the advantage over Hell, mike and Luc.

so anyone remember when Famine (the horsemen) said that dean had no soul when he didnt crave anything?

well sam also doesnt have a soul after coming back from hell... they both went to hell and lost their soul.. sam a little more than dean.. cause dean still has feelings.. sam has more of a dark side than dean soooo yeah! SAM LOST HIS SOUL!

@z74leatherface i agree, sam can lie to the godess of truth or what ever, no one has ever done that before, he dont sleep, he dont know how he feels, my guess is that when sam go brought back, lucifer is still inside, but maybe asleep and sam has slightly tapped into his powers without knowing? just a rough guess, and his gandfather on the phone saying that he would bring somthing to "someone" makes me wonder

@lyssa402 Dean came back being able to sleep and have feelings, didn't he? Besides, Sam was in Lucifer's Cage, he wasn't in the 'normal part' of hell. Sam, while not being down there that long, had a much more traumatic experience. He had Lucifer inside of him.
