  • A great film but fuck me that chick was soooo annoying

  • I See the one Critic that did not like it was a close....t commie.Or Open.

  • Oh I forgot to mention, yes JFK was a democrat. DUH! But he is not a modern democrat. It is actually easy to say he was a strong conservative democrat like Liberman. JFK was the president that gave Israel U.S. backing Obama took it away "for the moment." Best JFK quote "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

  • @ojump0ffacliff89...For on who wants to actually look at history JFK was a conservative. Imagine if Bush said that last JFK quote...the modern left would scream "WARMONGER!" Wait he essentially did "either your with us or against us." At least they both had the guts to stand up.

  • This movie was hilarious, true, and a nice change. Why is it that liberals can't sit back and laugh at a conservative comedy that is apparently "slanted" and "torture" to the viewer, stupid left wing nut job reviewer. We put up and even manage to laugh at liberal comedies all the time. It's a double standard. As for the man who said "if they pulled half the stuff in WWII they do now, they would of been thrown in jail by FDR." Lincoln also did, welcome to war were words can cost lives. Good Movie

  • idk even if you are a liberal, go rent the movie or something. If nothing else there's a lot of laughs, and it's nice to get a political view form this side in a movie. It's more attacking the extreme left wing than just the left wing all together

  • Oh I can see the liberal in this interveiw the reviewer

  • the liberals need to bugger off.

  • its funny how the old man said "if they pulled this stuff during WW2 they would be put in prison by FDR!" like, thats the good ol' days...being thrown in jail for having a political opinion

  • I love this movie so much! Watch the full movie now!

    MovieAndTvOnline.c o m/

Its quick and easy and requires no effort at all.

  • George W. Bush did a better job of hurting the Republican parties reputation than Michael Moore, Al Frankin, and Phil Donahue combined.

  • I work in the largest veteran's home in my home state. I walk into residents rooms who have Reagan calenders in their rooms, and they are against the Iraq war. Everytime they've seen George W. Bush on TV they have gone ballistic. Note to the filmakers most Americans including liberals are for finding Bin Laden. Its just our last president chose to settle a personal score by sending our troops to Iraq (I wonder how much he & the vp made off the oil kick-backs)? He also cut veterans benefits.

  • I loved the movie I own it, and laugh everytime

  • i love this movie and show

  • This movie isn't about politics, its about poking fun, satire, and laughs. I saw this movie opening day and despite some unfunny and stupid moments here and there, i thought it was clever and funny for the most part, I really enjoyed it. btw, i didn't know that indy mogul did this be4 beyond the trailer.

  • I am a conservative... but I will admit the movie was horrible... I did laugh but it was poorly made... it seemed a little unorganized and often confusing.

As much as I wanted to love this movie, i'm going to have to admit the negative reviews were earned.

Plus the movie failed to actually state the conservative viewpoint, it just bashed the left...

  • Petirep:

i'll agree with you to an extent, I believe the reason it did not show the conservative viewpoint as much is due to the fact that they need to draw audiences into the theatres and they felt the best way to do that was through a comedy which had some somewhat exasperated points. For the record I did enjoy the movie, my favorite part was the liberal colleges.

  • stupid fucking conservatives. it's a dying breed.

  • lol... you wish

  • This was an awesome movie.

  • the movie was fucking terrible.

  • you guys do realize liberalism in it's true sense is dead and has been for quite awhile. the hippie libs ideology of the 60's is gone. PROGRESSIVISM replaced it many years ago.

  • I fell asleep. It was an extremely boring film. They tried to throw too much into at once that it just became a smeer campaign as opposed to a comedy. Right wingers should try to hire some writers and genuine actors for their next attempt at a comedy. THIS MOVIE WAS A WASTE OF MONEY!!

  • of course the gay chink at 1:28 is gonna say he didn't like it. lol

  • I don't think he's a chink douche.

  • This Movie might have been funny if if if if if if if (and that's a major if) they would have hired decent screenwriters and a decent director. The Middle Eastern People did not even anything tlike actual Middle Eastern People.

  • I loved this movie it is so funny

  • umm, the purpose of the movie was to attack the blame amercia first crowd. One more thing, there is no such thing as a moderate conservative, maybe your a moderate republican. Conservatism and liberalism are idealogies, you either follow them or you dont

  • That's bullshit.

  • "this entire movie was just a blantant attack on liberalism." exactly! thats why its great!! : )

  • Propaganda movie explaining that all Muslims are terrorists and anyone who criticizes the U.S. hates America. Do all Christians take their congregations into the jungle and feed them cyanide laced Kool-Ade? That hypothesis makes as much sense as the reasoning behind this movie.

All in all this movie was a total waste of time. Both mine, and the people involved in making it. Political satire is a powerful tool, but this did not come close.

  • funny enough, one of the only people to hate this movie is a sniveling weak voiced little pansy movie "critic" reviewing the film. Listen to the guy that wasn't born here, listen to the older gentleman that references WWII, listen to REAL people. The movie ROCKED! Screw liberals and Hollywood, they don't know anything about REAL America.

  • "It seems to be obsessed with Michael Moore"? It is, dude!

  • Haha this movie literally made like 5 dollars. It wasn't even playing within 100 miles of my house.

  • Where do you live?

  • New Jersey, why?

  • curious

  • And why's that, hotshot?

  • lol just curious

  • i loved it great movie its about time someone made a great movie using the anti-american themes i love this country goooooo america god bless the USA

  • lol dumb american republicans

  • Welcome to BIAS movie reviews (Bitch In A Suit).

  • How is this review biased? She doesn't argue with anyone. This movie blew ass.

  • 1. An argument is not needed for bias.

    2. Yes, this movie sucked (although "blew ass" is a far more amusing way to describe it).

  • the most unfunny comedy movie i have ever watched! : (

  • Hey cadbora..... little miss reviewer was only doing her job, she gets paid for slamming the right. her elite boss must love her.

  • This movie is now on DVD! GO OUT AND BUY IT!!!

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!

  • I don't get that one guy. The film reviewer. He said it had zero laughs.

I saw this movie twice and both times, everyone in the theater was laughing so hard it was hard for anyone to catch their breath. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. That film reviewer should be fired because he is not doing his job. He supposed to tell how the movie really was.

  • (Non American here) So let me guess this straight. The conservative view is basically that, if you DARE point out anything wrong about the US, this means you automatically HATE the US? Jesus. That's very dangerous thinking. & anti-free speech. The idea of a free country is to be able to criticize its leaders without being labeled a traitor. I don't think this movie shows US conservative thinking in a good light.

  • Hey "non American", it's not about free speach. It's about when people are spewing crap from their mouths about stuff they obviously haven't a clue about. Thats what this movie is about. When Michael Moore makes a movie that tries to make Cuba look like a better place than the US, I'm sorry but, that is nonsense. Cuba is a poop hole. I have friends that escaped from there. Ask anyone who risked their lives to come to the US how great Cuba's medical system is.

  • @TrueamericanRay "Cuba is a poop hole." I think Plato said that, right?

  • Anyone who didn't like this movie would, I reckon, have preferred to spend the time sucking the shit out of Moore's ass and making little shit patties for them to munch on while watching MSNBC. Eating shit while watching shit..

  • im thinking of showing this film at my school. I recently created a young republicans club and we are gonna show people that those radical tree huggers aren't invincible!

  • Add "conservative humor" to George Carlin's timeless list of oxymorons, right up there with "jumbo shrimp" and "military intelligence."

  • I want to see this movie so bad, but typical how no theaters in NYC now hav it.

  • I loved the Undead ACLU Zombies, great movie!

  • it was sooo funny. Im 19 and I loved it. All young people should go see it.

and btw the ACLU does not defend Christian religious freedom..... gimme 1 case. You won't be able to find 1. LOL

its about time we started fighting back.

    GO J-MAC/Palin '08 =)

  • I loved this movie! It was so hilarious! Of course, it's not for everyone, such as, I'm guessing, those staunchly liberal pussies, *cough* stromboldt *cough*

With all these guys insulting us conservatives, I just had to send one back.

Regardless, whether you didn't like the movie's story, they made some great points. Have we all forgotten about 9/11? About the 3,000+ people who died in those towers? To forget them is to dishonor their memory, and this movie reminds us of why they died.

    5 Stars

  • "To forget them is to dishonor their memory."

Yr right...so where is the real 9/11 investigation?

  • God, I am so sick of hearing this argument.

Last time I checked, there was a certain terrorist group, what's it's name, AL-QAEDA who claimed responsibility for it. If they didn't, they brought the war upon themselves.

Now I'm sick of arguing. We're never going to come to a conclusion, so why even try to reason with each other. I can assure you that both you and I are too stubborn to look at the "evidence" for each side, and come up with an unbiased conclusion.

    *END OF DISCUSSION*

  • I try to give every movie a chance. This one, unfortunately was not worth the money. I walked out after 1 hr and demand (and received) my money back.

  • Regardles of your political views, this was a great movie! Kelsey Grammer and Trace Adkins deserve awards for thier outstanding performances. There were so many fun moments in this film that you would have to watch it over and over to keep up with them all. The cameo appearances by Jon Voight,Gary Coleman, James Woods, Bo Derek, Sarah Michelle Gellar,Dennis Hopper, Mary Hart, etc., were all good too.

  • Wow! Look at all these insults being tossed back and forth. Well, I shall stand above all that and simply say that I thought the movie was very funny. However, in retrospect, I can see why somebody who does not understand the zany ways of the far-left kook fringe dominating the media in the USA today may come away from this film not finding it humorous.

And I love that they found an immigrant to this country that actually sees the truth: He loves it more than those who were born here!

  • i dont personally believe in what an american carol messages

but i thought it was a good movie and pretty funny

    even tho im a democrat

  • i thought it was a great ,movie, i saw the premier at the rnc and met most of the actors

  • That nasal guy at 1:58 is comical. First he complains about it being 'slanted', which is the whole point of the f@!#ing movie. If liberals are going to throw a tantrum when a right-wing movie is released, maybe they shouldn't release 500 leftie flicks every year.

Then he says it seems to be obsessed with Michael Moore. Uh yeah: that's what the movie's about.

Everyone I know said the thing was hilarious. He's just too shocked at finally seeing Repubs fight back that he can't find it funny.

  • the movie critic on there obviously can't take a joke. this movie is a comedy-- it should be allowed to take a bias, and be applauded for doing so. the same free speech rights people claim for the crap out of Hollywood should be applied for this film. sadly, that critic proves the movie's point. there is a double standard.

  • And I would agree...If it was funny.

  • This is my only opinion of this shitburger:

    The wrong Farley brother died.

  • Typical mean-spirited liberal!

  • My nephew produced this movie. I love him but am not proud of this movie.

  • 1:23 Why is anti-ACLU a good thing? Does granny not enjoy her free speech or religious liberty?

  • Oh, you mean the organization that's pushing to have 'under God' removed from the pledge of allegiance? Hmmm... maybe because Granny enjoys her REAL freedom of religion and not leftie groups trying to push God out of everything from under the guise of people who actually support the American way.

  • "Under god" wasn't part of the pledge of allegiance in the first place, so why not remove it? After all the allegiance you're pledging is to the country not the god... so, why add it is a better question. "Under god" may sound innocuous enough to you but, to me, it sounds like an endorsement of monotheism. Seems like granny enjoys pushing her religion on other people... so do you.

  • Oh, my complaint here isn't what the expression is endorsing. my complaint is that people want to pick and choose what to take out of/leave in the Constitution. Besides the initial impulsive reaction that that's ludicrous, then exactly where are we left as a country when we start rearranging our foundation according to our whims? And your 'pushing religion' argument can easily be reciprocated and rebutted with 'seems like the ACLU enjoys forcing religion OUT of everything'.

  • "Oh, my complaint here isn't what the expression is endorsing. my complaint is that people want to pick and choose what to take out of/leave in the Constitution."

The Pledge of Allegiance isn't in the Constitution, if that's what you're implying... if not, I misunderstand you.

  • Sorry. I wasn't thinking; I meant to say the pledge of allegiance.

  • No problems...

  • PS: Like them or not, the ACLU defends YOUR right (and every American's right, imagine that) to practice and display affirmations of faith in public... just not on government property. Anyone who attempts to characterize this as anti-religion is either deluded or trying to feed you propaganda... perhaps both.

  • Well, we can repeat the fact of what we've been arguing about (taking 'under god) from the pledge of allegiance), or you can just prove me wrong and give me some factual cases in which the ACLU has defended religious rights.

  • "...give me some factual cases in which the ACLU has defended religious rights."

This is what worries me about movies/etc. that espouse anti-ACLU sentiment... they convince people that the ACLU is somehow inherently and aggressively atheistic (and, therefore, against religious people like yourself). Opposing, say, the Ten Commandments displayed at a courthouse is an issue of separation of church and state... not of religious liberty. You CAN support both.

    (continued)

  • (continues)

Go to the ACLU's website and search "ACLU Cases Defending Religious Freedom". Click on the first link for a lengthy list of cases where the ACLU defended religious freedom.

  • i saw this on Saturday..Religulous yesterday...if i were to compare the 2, Religulous is MUCH FUNNIER.

this made me laugh sometimes...but a lot of it was just so lame, and made like shit lol. its not bad for a matinee...i enjoyed it more than i thought i would.

    BUT...its SHIT compared to Religulous.

actually..change that about American Carol as a matinee......RENT IT. i dont rent much, but it wasnt even worth the matinee price.

You'll laugh, but not as much as you should.

  • "As entertainment, An American Carol ranks below YouTube clips of Sarah Palin."

    - Boxoffice

"Forget politics: An American Carol sucks simply because it's ridiculously, painfully unfunny."

    - Aisle Seat

"An American Carol is first and foremost a terrible piece of filmmaking, marred by bad performances, cringe-inducing dialogue and amateurish direction."

    - Film Journal International

  • What are you trying to prove? That liberals throw a hissy fit when a single right-wing movie is released? If so, you've succeeded.

  • If anyone is planning on seeing the movie "An American Carol", check your ticket right after you buy it. If you liked the movie, go to National Amusements website and give it a positive review. Please take the time to do this. These actors are putting their necks on the line for what they believe in, it's kind of the least we can do, no?

  • Hilarious movie. Note to future moviegoers: check your stub carefully when paying. We went to Muvico in Estero FL and it was put under "Apaloosa" and this wasn't by mistake either even though they tried to claim it was an accident. We found a website that says numerous complaints are coming in for fraud in theatres. The lib's just don't want this movie to have high box office receipts! Check it and complain if you find otherwise!

  • What does WWII have anything to do with September 11th? Can't they please explain their point of view honestly without us expecting to follow their leaps of logic?

  • you are a dumbass.

you see, in a movie, there can be multiple plotlines.

Especially in a movie in which they travel through time, like this one, and Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'.

  • CORRECTION: IT CAME IN #9th IN IT'S OPENING WEEKEND! LOL! STINKER! IT'LL BE IN THE 99CENT BIN NEXT WEEK! LOL!

  • to: NoMagoo08 -- yeah, because scumbag $7.00 an hour theatre workers who are Obama supporters are commiting FRAUD. It happened to me this weekend. And many others are reporting is. I'm sure Religulous will go straight to video. Bill Maher is an ass.

  • WTF? Just like a conservative... everything is a liberal conspiracy. LOL! Theatre ushers have united to undermine "An American Carol"?. How!? You're a too tightly screwed wing nut. That shit doesn't even make sense. The movie SUCKS and nobody cares. Deal with it! And the McCain/Palin ticket is about to bomb like the film!

  • It's a good movie and people should see it. Makes you laugh and makes you cry. The only person on this clip that didn't like it was from the left. Angry, gay and humorless.

  • Zero laughs - $3.8 Million on opening weekend ranked it #8. Cons have no talent or brains.

  • I can't wait for Oliver Stone's "W."

    talk about a conservative failure.

    OBAMA 08!!!!

  • ya ya ya and whatever it is bullshit hey how bout they come out with a movie of movie of obama a drugged up faggot muslim that has no experiance and yet is supported by the dumbass masses of liberals that is the definition of FAIL MCCAIN '08

  • im impressed by how you can write four lines of text without using any punctuation. you wanna talk about inexperience? How about that stupid hockey mom cunt you have running for vice president. Hahaahaha! she can't even answer simple questions in an interview. Then when it comes to debates, she gets blasted by Biden, too. By the way, the new polls are out and obama has his biggest lead yet! thanks palin!

  • To: and203 -- do you liberals ever have a coherent expressive thought that doesn't entail name calling? I didn't think so. Grow up. And that "c*nt" hockey Mom, GOVERNOR Sarah Palin, has more class in her pinky finger than that fraud, terrorist sympathizing, socialist Obama. Have a nice day. :-)

  • yet you call bill maher an "ass", and obama supporters "scumbags". do you CONSERVATIVES ever have a coherent expressive though that doesn't entertain name calling? typical hypocrite conservative. Palin doesn't know what shes doing. Obama's left testicle is more qualified to run the country than she is.

McCain doesn't have a chance. He did until he chose Palin for his VP. Luckily ignorant conservatives such as yourself will be out of the white house in a couple months.

  • I see 'hypocrite' and 'ignorant conservatives' in the same breath that you said 'Do you conservatives ever have a coherent expressive that doesn't involve name calling'? Ironic and embarrassing, yet still running parallel to what all liberals do these days.

P.S. If you want good, smart arguments, you don't go on YOUTUBE, dumbass. Read some good Republican writing like National Review.

  • Uhh...

Coming from you, I suspect the NR is rather embarrassed...and not in a good way.

  • hey dumbshit, i was repeating what aprillh had said about liberals never expressing a thought without insulting someone, while calling liberals scumbags and asses in the same comment. but like many of you stupid conservatives, you don't read into the context of statements and make judgements based on what you see on the surface. im not looking for republican arguments, i just wanted to comment on how shitty this movie was.

Congrats you just made yourself look like a total dumbass.

    Obama 08!

  • So what's your complaint? I heard none. You say I made myself look like a dumbass but do not tell me i what manner I have so readily humiliated myself. The closest you got to a valid point was that I 'make judgements based on the surface', and all I had said was that he made pointless insults. So you are saying I misjudged his insults? Please extrapolate.

  • you made yourself look like a dumbass because the phrase "do you liberals ever express a coherent thought that doesn't entertain name calling?" was said by a conservative to me. in the same comment, aprillh said that liberals were scumbags. i was pointing out how hypocritical that was and i repeated that phrase with "conservatives" in place of "liberals". i didnt complain that conservatives were name calling. i was mocking aprillh.

  • so while you thought you were so high and mighty coming at me with your petty insults, you were really just making fun of something a fellow conservative said, therefore looking like a dumbass.

  • 1. It's not high and mighty; in fact, I wasn't even insulting. I was making a point that insults were pointless.

    2. I don't care who says it, if it's stupid, I'll call it out. I don't try to justify something just because a conservative said it.

  • Saw some previews and it looks lame, you know it s bad when it s mostly elderly citizens who like the movie, the crowd that thinks Bob Hope was a comedic genius...

  • Whats a conservative?

  • look under cro-magnon

  • They're the folks that are in charge of everything, but can't do anything, and are blamed for everything.

  • Whats a Liberal?

  • 2:03-2:10 He means Inconvinient truth

  • I cant wait to see it!!!!

  • Wow, the Liberal was the reviewer? Who woulda thunk?

I went to see this today. I was one of twelve people total in the only theater in the city which agreed to show it.

For crying out loud, Halloween Unrated got a bigger showing!

  • "Wow, the Liberal was the reviewer? Who woulda thunk?"

    hear, hear.

  • that is funny that is the only reason why they think it sucked in the reviews sad aint it but i have never heard the entire audience break out in laughter in a liberal film

  • the liberal reviewer is a moron, he said that the movie showed JFK to be a conservative hero, hes not, hes a liberal hero, the movie was just showing that he doesn't stand for the things that liberals think he stands for

  • was somebody "offended"?

  • Can't wait to see it.

How ironic is it that the Hollywood idiots who keep whining how McCarthy oppressed them in the 1950's are the ones who refuse to tolerate any viewpoint but their own.

  • The liberal douche reviewer who didn't like the film is, I believe, The Boston Herald's Stephen Schaefer (although Schaefer's Herald publicity shot shows him with piercing blue eyes, unlike here.)

  • Saw this movie opening night and loved it! Michael Moore is so far out there I am suprised that a movie like this wasn't done before.

Everyone should see it. It should be shown in schools since they have to watch such liberal gems as Farhenheit 9/11 and An Inconvienent Truth.

  • Saw it yesterday. Not a full house, but everyone liked it. I will probably see it again just to help the box office numbers. Even if you can't make it, buy a ticket to help the numbers.

  • I LOVE GRACE!

  • I like the old people they were hilarious. Was he saying liberals would get thrown in jail by FDR because that's freedom at it's highest point there. Conservatives are being blocked out of movies right now because they elected George Bush twice! (well once legally) It's time to serve your sentence Conservatives, you'll be back in movies in 6 years.

  • Loved the movie, its about time! Not the greatest movie of all time, but I still loved it. Just shows how stupid liberals are seen and what they are doing.

    'They're not human.....they're the ACLU'

  • I laughed so hard when they showed up. That was the highlight of the movie for me.

  • make it "in"

  • Everyone needs to promote the sh*t out of this film.

    I am.

  • yeah i bet you want the government i all our lives

  • its called sarcasm. stop posting, get out.

  • whoa you are one angry person, why are you so upset??

  • the rays lost, elvis is dead and i don't feel so good myself.

  • Yes, long live the Soviet Union!!! Comrade. ;-)

  • Even though he is Chris Farley brother.

  • I couldn't stop laughing during the movie. There was a long line for it at the theater and I was lucky to get in. It is unapologetic and politically incorrect. I especially like the jabs at homosexuals who seem to be more and more demanding special rights. Some teenage boys screamed "dyke!" at the screen and the audience howled in laughter. Great stuff.

  • Watched this movie last night. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Conservatives will love it - Liberals may not like the message but i would bet $100 that an aclu member could not sit through it without busting a gut. It is that funny!!

  • Good video, but this is playing to the pulpit. it looks like an alright movie, but looks kinda cheap. Michael Moore while is biased does make damn entertaining movies. He's just funny and I think even people who hate him would admit that.

  • he dosent make comedies, he makes "documentries" that have only 2 or 3 jokes in them. so dont say he is funnier then grammer.

  • why is it a peace of trash?

  • I'm going to see it now that I know that it's anti-liberal. I just thought it was a political satire, I didn't know it was from the Conservative view.

  • It looks pretty funny.

I think I might see it.

    -Ryan

  • How sad that a foreigner notices that he loves America more than natural born Americans. God bless him.

  • yeah but you shouldent call him a foreigner just because he was born in a different country. remember native americans dont make up that much of the country. he is an american... lets leave it at that.

  • Sounds like something worth supporting!

  • The guy who didn't like it said they ripped Michael Moore, well duh!!!

  • I know man. The first thing that came out of the film critics' mouth was, "it was slanted." Wow, such great critical input. Of course it is slanted. The movie never tried hide its political agenda.

AAC wanted to portray America as a noble country and poke fun at famous liberals and their institutions.

  • Ya looks quite good hope it isn't like disaster movie or meet the Spartan's

  • this movie looks funny
