"early morning April 3 shots rang out in the Memphis sky free atleast they have took you life but they did not take you pride" truly a hero! My last report n h.s was of u. U2 u make me proud to be half Irish
On April 3rd, his airline flight to Memphis was delayed by a bomb threat against his plane. With a thunderstorm raging outside, King delivered the last speech of his life, now known as the "I've Been to the Mountaintop":
Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!"
the most beautiful song i have ever heard live... the ONLY time i ever cried at a concert was in 1997 when U2 performed this...to see thousands of people singing this together......it was a spiritual thing,i tell you.....
I was lucky enough to be at U2's concert at Wembley Stadium last month standing next to my 10 year old son and the one song that made me take deep breathe was Pride. To hear 88,000 singing along to this and think that MLK's dream has now come true with the US President and just maybe things will change for the better for my son's generation.
Good Lord, this video stabbed me through the heart. I am a 37-year-old white Canadian man and this video brought tears to my eyes and made me feel so ashamed of this part of history. We are all human beings and should all love each other. I get scared to death when I see those idiots with the white robes and pointed hoods. You don't see that ANYWHERE in Eastern or Atlantic Canada....ALL are welcome to this free land!
Thank you very much for uploading this. I'm sharing it with friends to celebrate MLK's vision on a day like today, a day when Barack Obama became our president!

Yeah, he is a great guy, but he had his faults just like everyone else. For example, he was a womanizer.
