Your hair is beautiful! I'm starting my transition now. Kinda scared to cut it but I just keep searching the net for tips. I wear partial sew in weaves for now but I think I want to try half wigs so that I can have more freedom to change hairstyles and save money. I'm in grad school now so I really don't have the money to waste lol. I think I will try some of the products you suggested. Thanks alot.
I wear synthetic braids as well for protective styles, that help keep my natural hair from breaking off. There are loc extensions, braids, wigs,..you name it. It doesn't matter..as long as your hair is healthy. Black women don't have low self-esteem (as implied by Chris Rock's 'Horizontal Harrassment' of Black women; in the movie- 'Good Hair'.) We just like versatility, to keep our hair protected in inclimate weather, and to have absolutely 'NO BOXES'. Our Representation...Our Choice.
@DimplesDeep1 LOL.... Hey beautiful, I color with "Just 5". You leave it in for 5 minutes, it last a long time, if you wash with sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. Thanks so much for watching!
beautiful hair! i have type a-b hair right now they are shoulder lenght. the problem is now that im working out ,due to sweat i feel like my hair is dirty ichy often,is it okay to wash once a week? i used to wash every three weeks (I WEAR LACE WIGS).
Can these methods and your front lace wig procedures be used for all races? I have had to recently buzz my hair and I want to be able to have longer hair at times.
I'm going to have to buy me some Mrs. Jessie. Every video I've watch on youtube I her all the natural beauty's talking about how it's a wonderful product. Now it's time for me to get me some. Thanks for sharing your video! =)
@ADCUHCL2011 For all that does not have jesus hrist in your life should consider repenting for you sins, ask the lord to come into your life, and find out what your true purpose is for your life including the lady in the video you need jesus too lady you and dont anybody want to hear about your husband, you both need jesus christ if you do not have him. why black women with long healthy hair wear wigs... Well, there are those of us that workout and still like to look like a diva when we leave the gym. With that said, we can't wash our hair everyday, it would be too much stress on our grade of hair wash and blow dry everyday. So, the alternative is to braid it up and put on a wig. Then gone about the rest of our day. Also, we can have curly hair one day, straight the next and an afro the next = diversity in hair styles... :) luv my wigs!!
blck women aren't the only 1's who wear wigs,,geez, wigs now r like changing clothes. & i luv washing my hair w/ conditioner,,& it does get clean cuz i don't use a lot of stuff in it..
hi I haven't watched any of your other videos so I don't know what you look like with wigs, but wow your natural hair is gorgeous. If I wore wigs I would get one that looks like your natural hair :)
You can't wash hair w/conditioner. Conditiioner is made to draw things to your hair. It is not made to let things go, like dirt. Your' hair is filled with conditioning products, although your hair may be growing, it would do a lot better if you washed your hair with shampoo, then condition it. Also, why do u wear wigs with yr hair looking fantastic. Isn't that the purpose of growing long healthy hair, to let the world embrace yr beauty? Dump those wigs girl!!!

why do most black woman put their hair through all this regimen to get healthy hair but then wear wigs out in public and not their natural hair?? this is just a question and not meaning to be offensive!
I'm with you! I don't understand it, either. I'm not mad at 'em, but I don't 'get it.' I really don't. It's like buying a buying a benz, but driving your pacer to work and church...and then driving the benz to the grocery store. LOL. I'm just sayin'.... :-)
@sexygreen2010@spiritwyze No offense taken, I put my hair through this healthy regimen because it's good for my hair. The same way vitamins are good for the muscle and tissue of the body. also I do wear my natural hair out. But some times I wear my wigs too.... I like having options. Thanks for watching.
@sexygreen2010 I wear lacefronts too. Not because I'm ashamed of my hair but because I also enjoy certain hair looks that can only be acheived for my hair by relaxing it, but I wear my real hair out as well.
I plan to twist my hair and wear a wig for the next month. When you say moisturize your hair, what specific products are you referring to (oils or grease)? I use pure virgin olive oil but it gets to oily. What’s another less oily alterative? How often should I moisturize my hair? After washing it this week, a lot of hair was coming out from combing and washing, does that mean I have bad breakage? I appreciate the advice and the video! Thanks!
I've experimented with quite a few products and by far the Hairtrition products work the best on my relaxed-fine hair. I was in Sally's about a month ago and they were running a buy-one-get-one special. I was pleasantly surprised after my initial use. By far the leave in detangler is my favorite. My experience with leave-in conditioners have not been the best. They often leave my hair dry, almost straw like and brittle. Great review. Thanks for sharing.
I also started to use wigs also with protect updo hairstyles. I would suggest to anyone to be carefull with sew-ins. People think you need to braid way to tight. Thanks for the tips.

@Dezi1016 Um...My hair is up to the middle of my neck i usually flat iron it and its really thin and always breaking any tips please i really want Long full hair like you plz :)
I had some breakage in the back. I wear wigs and lace fronts as protective styles. My hair has grown out a lot because of them. My hair is healthy, I co-wash it every two weeks, and I keep my scalp and ends moisturized. I hope this helps...
Thanks for watching my videos, I appreciate it. :)
?. Did your hair start out healthy? I wore braids for a long time, and now I have some form of alopecia. I wear lace fronts during the day, but let my hair breathe a night. Any suggestions on how to get my hair thick and start growing?
Im from detroit,mi it seems that I can't find miss jesse buttercream. have any suggestion on something else that's just as good> Sally's does't have it.

please what can you suggest for me to use, i had big braids and the braids were so tight that the crown section pulled out and since then the hair has refused to grow that is like 3yrs ago. what can i do and what supplements can i take. and also my nape and temple keep coming off due to weaves what cream can i use to effectively grow them back
Hi, I love your site, Please stop by my blog and shed some of your ideas, it's for all my girls caught in the tug of war b/t being natural & the 1B, 22in, this blog is for you:
Hello Dezi1016 I enjoyed your video and I know that your hair has grown longer since this video. Can you tell me, how many hours a day do you wear your wig(s) and do you keep your hair braided underneath your wigs? I am considering purchasing wigs to wear instead of getting micros again. My only concern is that I am working out now and I do not know if a wig will work with some of the exercising, especially classes. Thank you and great video as usual.
i have short hair (about down to the mid section of my neck) and I wanna try and grow it to the mid section of my back :) how long do you think that'll take?
hello i have natural hair and it's gray. so is this the only thing from ms jessie u use? i have that and some of the creme shampoo lakoniapj@yahoo.com
wow ur hair grew that muchhhhh???? NICEE I love natural hair I think its beautiful I started my natural process it been 6 months so its still small steps for me! Really nice hair ill be watching more of ur videos cause ur process is really good Good job
Dezi, What is the big chop and co-washing? I have a black friend that hates her hair. She doesn't do computer so I watch for her and we have a few nice hair pieces for her now. There are lots of things I don't understand cause I'm white and native. I really don't have a clue about black hair. Could you explain for a friend to help, what are the troubles she is facing? Texture, growth, style?
@tatsatu big chop=chopping all your hair off that is relaxed or chemically altered.co-wash=washing your hair with a conditioner instead of normal shampoo.
@CuteAntigen94 Ally, no!! I feel that you didn't help, you should not encourage young girls to used heated straightener like the instyler, especially since has not used it!!........Please be more responsible!!
@CuteAntigen94 Ally, no!! I feel that you didn't help, you should not encourage young girls to used heated straightener like the instyler, especially since she has not used it!!........Please be more responsible!!
I have been natural for 18 months, and have seen very good results so far. Low manipulation and protective styles (coils or wigs for me) - but I swear by Queen Helene and plain old castor oil (for me). I DC a little more often, but you have some excellent tips. Thanks.
I so love your hair! it grew so fast and right now I'm going natural and I'm trying to grow my hair longer i got a perm months ago and I plan on not getting one anymore and i will make sure i get the Hairtrition shampoo and all and I'm also planning on wearing a wig too knowing me i won't leave my hair alone i just want my hair to rest and grow =]
@polifonyann I wear a netted wig cap, you can find them in the beauty supply store. Remember to keep your hair moisturized as often as you think you need to.
@mpenny226 Hi Beautiful, which ones did you get?....I think I'm going to get their deep conditioner. I love the too!! Don't forget to moisture your ends!!...lol
I did not know you were natural! I am transitioning and my hair is breaking. I also can't keep my hands out of the back of my head on the left side and my hair is definitely breaking there. I have to keep it braided or a wig on in order for my hands to stay out of there. I like that fact that the products you use on your hair you can find in your beauty supply store. I am starting to cowash my hair every 3 days and wash my hair with shampoo once a month. Thanks for the inspiration.
You have beautiful hair :):) You should wear it more often instead of wigs :) Of course you look superb with wigs, but I'm parial to the natural look :) Simply wonderful!
@majoshlin I went Natural to save my hair from breaking, as I said in this video, I wear wigs to protect my natural hair as it grows out. Thanks for watching!
@Dezi1016 I hear you Dezi and I didn't want to cause any waves. You're hair just look so healthier and you stated that it's not breaking anymore. I am just wondering why you would continue to wear it on such a consistent basis. I just did the big chop few weeks ago and really would like to know what other protective styles there are other than wigs. Didn't mean to come across in a negative way at all.
@majoshlin Awww...please know that I truly believe that you were not being negative! You have been viewing and commenting on my videos for a very long time, and I truly appreciate that. Lot of people feel that once you have a healthy head of natural hair, why wear wigs....Once you start manipulating your hair then breakage will occur. I'm trying to avoid that by wearing wigs and pony tails.
Always know that I value your input on the comment wall, as well as the other viewers. Peace&love
BRAVO Dez!!! You are so transparent and real!! It takes a confident sistah to show the natural. I applaud you and thanks for the tips. I had quit using Queen Helene cause I thought it was out-of-date, but I will resume its use!!
Hi Dezi do you use the Infusium on your hair everyday ?
Your hair has grown so much and it looks very soft and healthy, thank you for doing a natural hair video update I like to see other women hair progress, It's always helpful to pick up new hair care tips for the natural hair ladies
Thank you, thank you for keeping the hair care so simple. It can be mind boggling how much is out there and what to use when trying to watch your budget. When will you have another clothing/jewelry/shoe fashion review? I love them. Thanks again and God Bless
Hi Dezi - I was really impressed with your hair growth, could you provide me with the products you are using. I have decided to grow my hair naturally...your hair looks really nice.
Hello, I raelly wanna start growing my hair out - right now it looks like your first pic. How did you get it to where it is now? What products do you use.
~Dezi, your hair is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing. I am on my hair journey and only hope I have these kind of results a year from now :) ~
Dezi your is so beautiful & long ! Thanks for sharing. My local Target's ran out of the Miss Jessie's Butter Creme, I did get the Stretch Silkening Creme. Im waiting for Target's to stock by up on it. Do you know any other store that sell's Miss Jessie's products? Thanks :)
your hair is gorgeous!!! OMG! what do u recommend for those of us that live in HOT Texas? my hair is the last thing to put on in the morning and the first thing to come off after work. But my head&hair is usually wet. that can't be good? i use a net wig cap, because the nylon kind is to hot. i work in a cool office all day, but the weather outside is boiling..!!
DEZI!! Thank you so much for talking about Hairtrition. I bought it a few weeks ago, but was afraid to try it because I have tried everything, and nothing has worked for my coarse, kinky, dry thirsty hair.
I tried the Hairtrition Shampoo, Condition and the 3 minute DC, and let me tell ya...it is AMAZING!!! My hair just melted like butter after the 3 minute condish. Fantastic product, thanks again for the info :)
Wow what pretty hair! What wonderful growth. Thank you for sharing. Good idea for detangling. I used Infusium 23 when I was permed. I never thought about it with natural hair. It was good on my permed hair so I'll check it out. What heat protector product do you use? JohnFrieda? or someone else.
Wow - wonderful... do you use all the items each time you do your hair? If so in what order? Also, how often do you wash your? Do you blow dry your hair or air dry? Do you beleive these products will work on perm hair to? Many Thanks
OMG....I am totally jealous.I should work up my nerves and do my big chop because right now my hair has serious issues.Congrats on having such wonderful natural hair!!!!
absolutely love it! i got 2 get some Queen Helen. never tried it. i tried doing the wig thing but i don't think its for me. it's too hot out right now. i need to find a better protective style. i'm just doing the crochet style with my own hair braided. love your hair. keep it up!
She's pretty

Hello Dezi1016 I enjoyed your video and I know that your hair has grown longer since this video. Can you tell me, how many hours a day do you wear your wig(s) and do you keep your hair braided underneath your wigs? I am considering purchasing wigs to wear instead of getting micros again. My only concern is that I am working out now and I do not know if a wig will work with some of the exercising, especially classes. Thank you and great video as usual.

Thanks
tatsatu

@tatsatu big chop=chopping all your hair off that is relaxed or chemically altered.co-wash=washing your hair with a conditioner instead of normal shampoo.

I have been natural for 18 months, and have seen very good results so far. Low manipulation and protective styles (coils or wigs for me) - but I swear by Queen Helene and plain old castor oil (for me). I DC a little more often, but you have some excellent tips. Thanks.

Do you use a regular wig cap under your wigs. I find my wig cap dried out my hair. Do you have any ideas what I can use instead?
polifonyann 1 year ago
@polifonyann I wear a netted wig cap, you can find them in the beauty supply store. Remember to keep your hair moisturized as often as you think you need to.

This is a serious question....what is the purpose of going natural if you're going to wear wigs?
majoshlin 1 year ago
@majoshlin I went Natural to save my hair from breaking, as I said in this video, I wear wigs to protect my natural hair as it grows out. Thanks for watching!
Dezi1016 1 year ago
@Dezi1016 I hear you Dezi and I didn't want to cause any waves. You're hair just look so healthier and you stated that it's not breaking anymore. I am just wondering why you would continue to wear it on such a consistent basis. I just did the big chop few weeks ago and really would like to know what other protective styles there are other than wigs. Didn't mean to come across in a negative way at all.
majoshlin 1 year ago
@majoshlin Awww...please know that I truly believe that you were not being negative! You have been viewing and commenting on my videos for a very long time, and I truly appreciate that. Lot of people feel that once you have a healthy head of natural hair, why wear wigs....Once you start manipulating your hair then breakage will occur. I'm trying to avoid that by wearing wigs and pony tails.
Always know that I value your input on the comment wall, as well as the other viewers. Peace&love

your hair is gorgeous!!! OMG! what do u recommend for those of us that live in HOT Texas? my hair is the last thing to put on in the morning and the first thing to come off after work.
