And today I move to the very Sullivan St. he's singing about. Never saw that coming. Thanks for sharing.

  • @jojokimbo KILLER

  • He put on all that weight because of medications he was taking. He's not on those anymore and he worked hard to lose the weight.

  • The singer has put on alot of weight over the years. Still an awsome singer, love counting crows, great music great meanings.

  • If you've seen him recently though you can tell he's lost a lot of it.

  • He's lost a lot weight now you'll be pleased to hear!

  • greatest song ever!

  • great song good to see some live footage.i have seen them 4 times live.barrowland glasgow was just amazing.best live band ive seen.

  • This song, it makes me desire to run away from my family who neglects me, i really just don't know what to do with myself.

  • I did that same thing back in 2001. Hit me up if you wanna talk about it.

  • Great song but the singers got crazy hair!

  • no he doesn't, it's a wig. He get's a lot of grief for it.

  • Grief, from random people, seems nice. Grow up accusing people of such things is stupid

  • so i have been sitting here for like the past six hours doing hw and listening to the counting crows on repeat. very few bands still sound good after six hours.

  • amazing. They just get better with time

  • I love to drive listening singing my heart out and crying to August & Everything After... Yes, still after all these years.

It has that kind of timeless kindness.

It's always a safe & warm place to rest after our heart has been treated badly.

  • well said.

  • and again from me, well said indeed.

  • Couldn't agree more

  • losing myself in the crows never itself loses its distinct and melancholic yet reassuring quality. I can't imagine not having the crows and though i have lost a few peeps and loves along the way i am glad noone can take the crows

  • My first love fell in Sullivan Street. Oh girl.. it's been a long while.

  • Counting Crows is awesome...an who is this "kid and play" LMAO.. CC is timeless very well written music. Kid and play is a joke stop judging on a haircut...i bet you dont even have hair.

  • Ummm. . . you mean Kid, from Kid 'n Play?

  • what's with the dreads these days???

  • class version from one of the best bands in the last 20 years

  • exactly.

  • .... To Be Continued....

  • My closest friend in there was a lovely but temprimental giant called RD who introduced me to the Crows. He would lent me the August albulm which I really enjoyed. you find in those enviroments you kinda feel cheered by learning that Anna's life seems more screwed than yours etc... Don't know what it is really, Tracey Chapman is popular in those places which will come as no suprise.

  • I made a few friends there, RD, GH, GW, BM, MB, PC to name a few. In particular though was a guy I shall refer to as BC. BC was a life sentence prisoner who had served 10 years for stabbing his landlady in a drunken rage one night. The fact that he had used violence against a woman seemed to really be a problem for him and we spent many occasions discussing the shame and guilt and total remorse he felt for what he had resorted too that night.

  • Undrstandable because you harden your emotions within that enviroment so as to not feel the pain we bury. My last 2 years (taking my incarceration to 6) was spent in a unique establishment which was made up of these tight knit theraputic communities which made everyone accountable to everyone, staff and inmates alike. Believe me having been a guy with a major chip on his shoulder, who fought the system all the way, and acted like an 'A' hole, even my barriers came down eventually.

  • some time ago I was a bit naughty and found myself being held in captivity by the British penal system. I spent 4 years rough housing it around all the nicest establishments and learnt that there is no compassion what-so-ever between inmates. I witnessed many conversations which would take place in the breakfast queue, "Smiffy topped himself last night, they took his body away about 4am" to which the stock reply would normally be "F*$K who got his radio".

  • Adam is sooo cute in lasses!

  • great band always have been n always will be

  • jag gillar hans brillor

  • awesome live version of a great song... and with alt lyrics too..

  • duritz is really good at completely fucking up the song

  • he fucking wrote the song...how can he fuck it up...he sings it like he's feeling it...

  • Go listen to Britney Spears...she plays the song the same way everytime :) Some people like artists such as Bob Dylan, and The Counting Crows who keep their music fresh, and make each live performance an experience.

  • Simply amazing. What a great live band!!

  • Great
