They got lucky. There was a excavator to flip it back up. In every tip over such as this spills gallons of hydraulic fluid on the ground. If they had called a wrecker, it would have been part of the wrecker drivers job to call in for a spill cleanup. That in turn would have made the EPA involved. Where I live, if you drive off a road and into a ditch and call a wrecker, the driver must call it in for the cops to come to the location. Always a citation, and at a possible drunk driving charge.

The pin doesn't bear all the forces as cases like this where its vertical stress is the main force, the plate divides the rest (with locking)
