wow....my rig isnt really any better I dont think and I load on a 1TB hdd in about 13-20 seconds. Core i7 2600k @4.8 ghz. 8gig corsair dominator, GTX 580, win 7 64 bit. I would say the video isnt helpfull as a real comparison but you did a good job on the video either way
Yeah, I'm sure you're tired of seeing this, but somethings wrong with your setup, game install, or something. I'm running the game on Ultra High with a bunch of hi-res texture mods and my game loads in about 13 seconds on a normal HDD
I agree with the comments below. I'm running the game off a newer gen velociraptor 10,000RPM drive and it loads fully before your SSD did. That's not right.
@PSBtaboo because, PC have a higher transfer rate like SATA III, more ram than ps3. If you compare your pc spec and Ps3 PC cleary wins. You spent more money on PC than ps3, common now.
@BeautifulKurumi HAHAHA coz the fact that I say that I have a PC, that I say I play on PC, that I talked about PC and that my channel is FULL of videos where I'm playing PC games was enough to make you think I even own a PS3.
Can you even read? The ONLY time I mentioned PS3 was to say that this video doesn't mention PS3 anywhere. But that's ok, you just keep being an internet superhero champ for without you we would all be bored.
@eseoficial I wouldn't say so except when loading new sounds/midi's. A beastly CPU helps with performance but if you want better sound you need equipment. I have a 2nd gen i7 intel chip and Ableton runs beautifully, I rarely have to freeze tracks.
shit, your rig is slow, my HDD takes like 7 seconds

It takes me something like 2 seconds. I have a Samsung 830 128gb
Your rig is damn slow

Vincini28 2 weeks ago
It takes me 1-2 seconds max to load a save and transitions are instant on my WD 1TB 7200RPM.

crazychainsaw007 2 months ago

@sephirothnz I think he's loading the start of skyrim here as in the entire world not just the inside of a house

My 5400rpm hdd loads faster than your SDD...
4-5 seconds tops... something's wrong with your system same graphics card but an AMD 955 processor.

Just got the game and my HAD even loads so fast I can never even read the hints. Were load times improved during the patches?

Something is wrong here, I have an old four core processor from 3 years ago, with a crappy HDD, and mine takes 10 sec to load tops.
SulfurCitizen 3 months ago
I don't know where your bottleneck is, but I'm running i5-2500k with 90 GB SATA II drive and my load times are ~10 seconds - 15 tops.
bhcdarkness 3 months ago
What processor is this? I have i5-2500k coupled with a 90GB SSD and I get load times of MAYBE 10 seconds - 15 tops.
bhcdarkness 3 months ago
Are you recording the video to the same drive you are loading skyrim from because both of those are slow.
smoogles 3 months ago
Yeh I'm confused. I'm running on a decent gaming PC from 2yrs ago. Can run the game on ultra but only at about 30-40fps.
I'm on a run of the mill 7200rpm platter HDD and mine takes like 10secs to load max.

@wirayut123 I'm sorry, are you suggesting that the test in the video is done on a PS3?
Is there something I'm missing? It doesn't mention PS3 anywhere and the specs he's listed in the description are PC specs =/?

Quick question, Is an SSD hard drive, better... say for digital audio production(in ableton live) compared to an HDD based computer?

I've never had load times longer than about 8 seconds on my HDD. What the heck is going on with 34 second load times on an SSD?!
Proskuneon 3 months ago 2
That's how long you take to load with an i7...? I load in 5 seconds with my 6gb/s WD.
SnarfTheHoovySlayer 3 months ago
Just tested and it was 8 seconds to load from that screen to a similar outdoors setting, I also have LAA enabled along with some other .ini tweaks.

My 80gb X25m G2 loads quite a bit faster than that. I'm at 1680x1050 with max AA/AF and Ultra settings.
