  • Climate change is fake......

Everyone who runs with the idea politically is a hypocrite.

And for anyone who thinks I'm wrong, consider your precious al gore who's house consumes more energy then 12 average homes combined....... So yeah, the climate is one of the least important problems in our hands these days.....,.... Unless you're a Eco friendly-anti capitalist liberal

  • out of all the things in this world, we should not be denying global warming. its happening. ignoring it will not make it go away. by ignoring it, we put the future generation in danger. i live on a island. my hometown may be gone someday. do we really want to be the people who are blamed with ruining our grandchildren's future? personally, i do not.

  • P.s. we're not wrong.

  • Global warming is a myth. Just a few months ago it was proven that most of it was caused by the sun. :)

  • If it's human nature to ignore scary things, then you have to accept that we aren't gonna survive if something terrible happens like 'Climate change' Even though it's just coming out of an ice age. Survival of the fittest works for just about everything natural and it does for the climate change. We survive by thinking through something. Inventing air conditioning and Radiators to keep us from heat and cold. If we can't come up with something this time we are really lacking common sense.

  • the Earth is truly massive, and "mother nature" is the most powerful force on earth. im not saying that climate change is nonexistant, im saying that there is no way we could make any significant impact on climate. If the earth "floods" the earth floods, (not really saying it would) but there really would be nothing we could do about it

  • You should check out my vlog, there called funny dinosaur

  • I believe that the world is getting slightly warmer, but that humans have minimal impact compared to volcanoes. Argument is welcome.

  • Personally, I'm not sold on the idea of climate change. But, I think that we, as a society should band together in any way possible to help our planet. If there is somewhere I can get those stickers, I will damn well use them.

  • There is no way humans can change the climate of the earth.

  • make vieos everye day

  • omg he said balls in spanish

  • you see i want to go check out to see what they harry potter alliance thing is about... but id rather have dan explain it

  • To me it doesn't matter if the climate is actually changing or not. We only get ONE Earth and we should take care of it treat it like the gift from God that it is.

  • I HAVE AN ENORMOUS 8====================>

  • @Kmattcooldog You've just implied that you have a sharp, pointy penis. The girls are running away.

  • @CompulsiveOrigami It just makes it easier to kill the hookers with XD

  • thanks for the nightmares dan......god humanity sucks

  • I heard about something called the funtheory. They made good habits and behaviors fun, like recycling, and going up the stairs instead of using the escalator, and it worked. I believe that if we start making going green, recycling, and minimizing our carbon footprint fun, then we can convince everyone to change.

  • So I've been thinking of some other ideas to put on bumper stickers (easy to get made up) and using pictures seemed the way to go if they thought the word "Recycling" would be confusing. My plan of a "no smoking" circle w/ slash and a can and then a bottle in it would work, but we are now accepting all plastics, not just bottles.

I like your "not a recycling bin" phrase, and I may borrow it but if used it will be legal, so no worries there. Now to see if I can get approval for a few test cases.

  • Dan, that sticker idea is great, mostly b/c I've been trying to think of a way to do that at my college about the past 6 months. We have at least one recycling bin in every hallway, yet people who bring cans or bottles into class throw them away in the trash can next to the door on their way out, instead of waiting 30 sec to put in a bin.

I was told by the recycling program director that putting "Recycling in Hallway" on a sticker on the can would make people think the trash was recycling.

  • If you look at some climate and temperature graphs from the Earth's history, you will notice the Earth gets hot, and then cold. It's always going to fluctuate. The question is: "How long until the cold season is back?"

  • I know this *scientist person, and he said 10 years before, if was hotter than right now. I mean like seriously, the wourld is NOT getting hotter. Its actually getting colder. Im dead serious. It is about 5 or 10 degrees COLDER than 2011. So it is acually FAKE - Global Warming- is NOT REAL. Really.

  • @whateverwalkthroughs Do you also believe everything Fox News tells you? Do you only take your opinions from one source without researching them further? I'm assuming you meant "5 or 10 degrees colder than 2001". And if this was actually based on fact and not opinion, you would have an actual number, not a vague and very big "5 or 10 degrees". And a source, like a peer reviewed report.

  • @kaypgirl Porblem is, I DIDNT hear it on Fox News. I heard it from a person that actually KNEW about it. I didnt even know about Fox News talking about it before you told me.

  • Captain Planet.

  • your climate idea isint a good one. with the sticker. people will still throw away their trash in the garbage can because they are to lazy to throw away their recyclebles in the recycle bin. because its more convieniant to throw it all away in one place

  • @sciencegey we can move to Canada! :D

  • i am wrong

  • "Not entitled to their own facts"?!

Dan, I bear no ill will toward you, but you're being hypocritical here. Why do you have the final say over everything?

Besides, while *parts* of earth may be getting hot, could it not simply be us, still thawing from the last ice age? I mean, Tennessee, where I live, has been getting significantly cooler over the years. And yes, I'm familiar with the "Global Cooling" theory, but if that's true, shouldn't that mean things are just balancing out?

  • @Dan00bindahouse - (Continued) Like, say things get significantly hotter. If the ice caps were melting, and the cold spread over the rest of the earth, doesn't that just balance things out?

  • Is it bad that I wanted a cooking show?

  • I know this is gunna sound stupid but what happened between dan and Danielle?

  • @exxod112 they broke up :(

  • Veganism!

  • That sticker idea is freaking brilliant dan.

  • Holy shit. The two top rated comments are discouraging the action against climate change. When did Dan's viewers become so apathetic?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn I read them and i was like, "Seriously? What...? That's... fucking ridiculous."

  • @AndreaEatsRainbows

No kidding right? Whenever I see that nonsense, I'm instantly reminded of holocaust deniers, confederate Americans, and the ignorant few who deny evolution.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - Those who deny evolution aren't ignorant, or few, and your opinion on the matter isn't the only one that matters.

In fact, I' ve witnessed miracles myself. So who's to say there's no god? It sounds a lot more likely to me than everything in the universe getting so perfectly balanced from a big explosion.

Like, how did the moon get so perfectly placed that its gravity can adequately pull our tides without causing tsunamis to spill over all the continents?

    (Continued)

  • @Dan00bindahouse (Continued from last)

Hmm, maybe I meant few among classified biologists, or the academy of science altogether. Even if a lot of people believe an idea, (evolution is false, the earth is flat) that does not make it true.. *Ahem* 2:12... and the moon's gravity DOES pull our tides causing tsunamis. Honestly, intelligent design is indefensible compared to the theory of evolution. Please don't fool yourself anymore......... 2:12

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - (Continued from last)

But please, do try to be a little more considerate of other people. There's nothing quite like having an opinion, or a faith, or anything that's very personal to you bashed against the wall. Debates I can handle. Insults I get mad about.

  • @Dan00bindahouse

Sorry, if you deny the holocaust, reject evolution, and believe in confederacy; I have no sympathy or respect for your views. :O Evolution is observable fact. The "moon is placed so perfectly in orbit" because it was formed in orbit. The universe became orderly from an EXPANSION not an explosion, and I can't stress that enough. your subjective views are garbage compared to evidence. "The tooth fairy really put a dime under my pillow!" SHE EXISTS... 2:12

  • @Dan00bindahouse

I get mad when you insult the collective intelligence of all humanity by insisting that intelligent design should be accepted as an equal theory to evolution, just because a lot of people hold the opinion. There's nothing quite like having the science that has brought you everything you currently take for granted bashed against the wall. The technology I appreciate has come from scientific development that is very personal to me: your propositions are insulting. How bout that?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - I'm sorry my opinion is insulting. But I have a right to it nonetheless.

  • @Dan00bindahouse

Opinions and denial of fact are two very different things, bro. 2:12

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - You can except my beliefs and we can coexist in peace....

OR we can fight it out in a pointless argument on the internet that neither of us will win.

I have no idea which one you would rather do.

  • @Dan00bindahouse

I guess I can... uhmmm "accept" your beliefs as a guideline for what to cautiously avoid. Needless to say, arguments about this sort of thing are in no way pointless. It's blind belief against logic and evidence. A good example of this type of *pointless* argument is the age old issue of slavery. Do we stick with tradition and segregation because a lot of people think it's right, or do we go with the logic that says we are all equal? I for one, don't think it's pointless. :)

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - There's no evidence that god doesn't exist.

Because you can't prove a negative.

And as long as it's obvious that, I'm not changing your belief system, (which I don't try to do) and you, are not changing MY belief system, what's the point in arguing? I mean, if we were face-to-face, that would be one thing. We could have a slap fight over it. But on the internet, it's really just an excuse to stay on an extra hour.

  • @Dan00bindahouse

There's no evidence that the magical alien guru from Saturn doesn't exist. So that's enough of a reason for me to believe in him and dismiss anyone who tries to reason with me, or convince me he's fake with "logic". I'll always believe in the alien guru, and unless you go to Saturn and prove me wrong; I will NOT DECONVERT! And I also believe that, since the alien guru told me so, we should take away the rights of homosexuals. What's the point in arguing?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn - And yes, I'm aware of the typo.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn youre being played for a sap! If you look hard enough, you know that global warming is an effing scam set up to get money and make americans feel bad. Al gore and nickelodeon dont care about the environment, just the money. and have you ever thought that it is the sun getting hotter, not the earth? Its an enormous ball of fire in the sky, how obvious can it get? And co2 is not the greatest greenhouse gas, water vapor is, by a lot, and it does a lot more damage

  • @Ace4929

No, you're in denial! If you look hard enough, you will see the statistical increase in CLIMATE on earth! The sun is NOT "a big ball of fire", rather a radioactive ball of hydrogen gas that is being converted, via fusion, to helium. The sun will become hotter when it becomes a red giant; not now. Water vapor is responsible for the NATURAL greenhouse effect, which is NOT harmful. Co2 is responsible for the anthropogenic greenhouse effect. It IS building up. How obvious can it get?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn Yeah, technically the sun is not a big ball of fire, but in laymans terms, thats a pretty good discription of it. The sun goes through stages over long periods of time (hotter and colder and hotter and colder; look it up) and more co2 is a product of a hotter climate, not a cause. Water vapor is what is really on the rise, probably because of all the interest in hydrogen cells. if you want to get rid of co2, then plant some plants, its that effing simple, but it wont fix the temp

  • @Ace4929

Every time anything material is burned, Co2 is released. We are burning fuel to power vehicles, oil refineries, and other appliances/facilities. That is a lot of Co2 being released into the atmosphere. The fact that Co2 is a greenhouse gas is the sole reason that we see an increase in climate trends within our biosphere, not an equal fluctuation as the sun's "cycles" (which are much longer than you imply) would suggest. There ARE fluctuations, but it's an overall increase (look it up?)

  • @GuitarMannnnnn co2 is natural and nececary, and reducing it would severely hurt plants, because levels are relatively normal. Water vapor, which there is a lot more of than co2, is what is really on the rise. Can you see through clouds? me neither, so that means that light and therefore heat cant pass through them, in or out, and the extra water vapor is coming from hydrogen cels. and if you agree with me about the sun, what are we still fighting about?

  • Dan, where are these stickers going to come from?

  • Coal burning expands life

  • i think most people are just going to ignore the stickers, they probabbly wouldn't even bother to ask anyone for a recycling bin.

  • i liked him, now i don't

  • Ironic that its called delicious STEAK and this topic is about saving animals and the world and humans and stuff

  • @gottapee5 This wasn't a topic about saving the animals though o.o lol.

  • Nice :)

  • great vid :)

  • "global warming(climate change)" has happened before (eg the ice age), and we have survived that, what says we can't survive it now? What people don't understand is that it's the end of humanity, not the earth. And flooding, how much barren land do we have? Just move!

  • @sciencegey we all wish it were that simple

  • @sciencegey Carbon emissions that, by accentuating the effect of the Greenhouse Effect, lead to a net gain in annual global temperatures were nowhere near the destructive magnitude that they are at today. Your assertion is poorly constructed and fallacious. "Just move" is a completely erroneous idea. The consequences of this conundrum cannot be avoided by running away from the problem. A collaborative solution is what is necessary to solve the problem at hand.

  • I want these stickers.

  • Make those stickers happen, I think that's clever.

  • I think your sticker idea is super clever but the one problem i see is those silly people with 'selective reading' who will just see the RECYCLING BIN part and then proceed to throw whatever it is down there in the trash

  • knight to b 4!!! HA CHECKMATE!!!!!!

  • i do agree with almost everything you say, but the thing is recycling, as of now, takes more energy to do than IT DOES TO THROW IT AWAY. think about that for a second. the time we take to separate our garbage and recyclables(aluminum is the only recycling that makes a difference...it takes less energy to recycle aluminum) it takes more energy and waste to drive it over to the recycling center in a huge truck and processed in a factory...but other than the recycling thing i agree

  • I like your ideas Dan. It's awesome! Civil disobedience my ass. We'd be doing a service to all of humanity in the long run. Let's start printing out the damn stickers! I'll stickerslap every public garbage can I see!

    :D

  • u need to be eating an actual steak while doing theses shows

  • my idea is we need to get government funding on hydro powered cars to be heightened. that one thing can help more than anyone can imagine. on a second note to my idea funds for solar, wind, geothermal, and hydro power should be raised. all natural all reusable sources. say every area of the country is to use the source of power that is suited for them. prices of electricity will drop and there will be no waste. i think it is a good idea. what do you think?

  • fuck I just typed a whole message but it wouldn't send. I'll type it all over again because you are fucking wrong.

you have no solid evidence that climate Change is real, Australia is having it's coldest winter days since the fifties!

scientists are being paid to manipulate their information. julia fucking gillard is putting a price on carbon emissions because she thinks it will lower emissions. all this is gonna do is increase food, petrol and living costs because factories are gonna pass t

  • @randomgal1322 ummm "australia is having it's coldest winter days since the fifties!"..... are you stupid or do you not understand you are talking about a huge climate change? global warming goes for both extreme heats and extreme colds. so by you saying that australia is having its coldest winter since the fifties you are actually helping the argument that the world's climate is starting to get out of control.

  • @phyro9899 Then why the fuck do they call it Global warming if it's cooling too?

Also the rest of my comment got cut off but i can't be bothered.

Once again, you have no solid evidence that global warming is real at all, show me serious proof and I will digress but until then, fuck you :)

  • @randomgal1322 The actual name given by scientists is "Global Climate Change", not "global warming".

  • @pogobat let's get crackin on a sticker design (any artists in the house?) that everyone can print at home. I REALLY wanna do this.

  • kill half of the population.

  • Comment removed

  • my answer. walls. walls everyone. GIANT WALLS. I refuse to think of something better. wallllllssssssssss

  • dear daran brown.

do not get worried about climate change. it is natural. a few million years ago the weather was not like it is today. so this means that calimate change is natural and is not human falt. (but humans may speed it up) this dosent mean stop recycling.

also daran brown said at 3:14 "all the evidence in the world ......" this is a wrong fact not all the scientists believe that global warming is true. these scients are being ignored by politions (al gore)

i want to hear what u say

  • @9689michaelm Haha his name is Dan not Daran.

  • @9689michaelm THANK YOU! someone that understands! i think exactly the same.

  • The question is not whether the planet is warming, the question is - how much of it is caused by us.

  • Nice :-)

  • I love your idea about the "not a recycle bin" stickers. send me some and I will be sure to put them up wherever I see that one is needed in my area.

  • Mythbusters proved that co2 and methane both increase heat when in a closed container and light is shown upon them/

  • Also, did you know that they are trying to get rid of incandescent (round) light bulbs for good? That has to be the stupidest idea I've ever heard. The round bulbs actually last longer than the fluorescent (swirly) light bulbs. You can't just throw away the fluorescent light bulbs either like you can with a normal light bulb. They have mercury in them which could be harmful to you and your family, if say, the light bulb accidentally breaks. Just saying.

  • The Earth's climate has been changing like crazy for millions of years. Carbon dioxide from man-made products like cars isn't affecting the climate as much as you think. Volcanoes spew out more carbon dioxide in one day than all of our cars combined. All of this global warming non-sense only makes the investors in green products, like Al Gore, richer. He knows that the "sheeple" will panic and go out and buy all of this useless crap like fluorescent light bulbs.

  • @DANgerous124 Volcanoes may spew out more CO2 than all of our cars. But human CO2 emissions are ONE HUNDRED times that of volcanoes. And just as we start emitting all of his CO2, since the industrial revolution, the temperature of our planet as risen dramatically.

    Explain that.

Global warming isn't nonsense, and Al Gore is doing a good thing by investing in green products.

  • @mattius999 They've been promoting this global warming crap since the early 1900s. Then they had the chlorofluorocarbon scare in the 1970s. Now they're starting it again. There are a lot of award-winning scientists that say that global warming is just a scare tactic. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for finding different ways to create energy BUT there is nothing wrong with what we have been doing for the past two hundred years.

  • @DANgerous124 It's not crap! There is loads of evidence for global warming! There are lot lot more award-winning scientists that say that global warming is very real and a great threat. Over the past two hundred years, humans have added too much CO2 to our atmosphere, which HAS raised the overall temperature.

  • The polar bears are fine, al gore is a dumbass, nobody's going to drown because the ice caps are melting, etc etc.

  • People was told fifty years ago that there would be no natural resources, this means oil etc, but what are we all still using as an energy resource? We are using oil to make our fuels to run cars, our electricity and numerous numbers of things which makes human life that much easier. The thing is, we still have PLENTY of oil, as the wise man "Proudledrapper" said, don't let it ruin your day

  • Sick lensflare bro... :)

  • It is not actually getting hotter. duh.

  • That's a really good idea, Dan! I'm digging it. Let's make it happen. Make the stickers and send them to us.

  • I think that something more drastic than recycling needs to happen. Recycling uses much more energy than making new products, but it does reduce the material being taken out of nature; the bad and good balance to very little impact. What needs to be done is reducing what we use. No more plastic water bottles and packaging, no more shipping useless crap from china. De-globalization of the economy and returning to local products will help in unthinkable ways. The #1 thing to help: grow your food!

  • It is not that people do not believe in global warming, the facts are there and they cannot be proven wrong. What people do not believe in is the fact that most of the global warming is not normal. They think it is normal fluctuations, but this increase is not. They do not correlate the global increase with our actions and that is the problem. They choose to believe the data, but it everything's fault, but humanities and that is a big mistake.

  • the thing about climate change is that the earth (as a whole) is not getting warmer... only the hot places are getting hotter whereas places that are cold (for example UK where i live) is getting colder. The past 2 winters, the UK and many parts of europe have been under many feet of snow lasting for upto 5 months in places. The far north of the world wont have wars over water (for atleast half the year) as all the water will fall as snow whereas places near the equator will rarely see any rain.

  • @JamieMo1993 and ur point is? We dont have to tackle the issue simply becuase u wont get flooded and killed?

Think about the warm places then where thousands if not tens of thousands or millions will die from drought, famine, war and flooding O_O

  • @mahfuz1995 my point is simply that the world is not getting warmer (as a whole). I agree that we need to tackle the issue of this climate crisis and that we need to do something to prevent the worsening drought in the hot places on earth. Im just trying to clear up the mis-conception that the world is getting warmer. Only some places are gettin warmer but we need to do whatever we can to prevent this change. My country is doing alot to try and slow climate change but we all need to do something

  • @JamieMo1993 That is the precise reason the title has been changed from 'global warming' to 'climate change'. This does not make it any less of an important issue. But actually, the global average temperatures compared to before the industrial era have increased in every location on earth. More extreme weather events are more common including extreme cold, but the amount of heating in summer is greater than amount of cooling in winter. On an average global scale. the IPPC has accurate diagrams.

  • One thing we can all do is to shut off your car's engine unless you're actually driving. If you live in a cold area, get an engine heater and put it on a timer so your car is warmed up when you get in it in the morning. If you live in a hot area, suffer the heat for a few minutes. Just don't leave the engine running all day long like the AT&T van that idles through lunch every day outside my office window.

  • i love how he said "but fuck it" but than just took out the audio

  • @lovelaj0149 ha, when?

  • @lovelaj0149 nah, it looks like it, but he's just like finding the sentence

  • this is the facts 4 years ago the highest temperature in Colorado was 80 now it is not rare to have it be 95 global worming is real

  • Also, did you know that one of the theories in global warming is that when the norther ice caps melt the freezing water will affect out jetstream, plunging the entire continent of north america into an iceage? Think about it

  • I think that recycling should be mandatory along with trash disposal. Another concept in our global concept is our other r's- reducing and reusing. They are in order. Stored should stop selling disposable water bottles as much as they are. The chemicals in those bottles can be bad for you too. And of course, reusing. I used to think my friend was really weird when she brought home her plastic utencils, but then I realized how much plastic that saved throughout the year.

  • This is what i think go ahead and bash if you feel like it.

I do NOT believe in global warming - so much as i believe in global EXTREME-ING. The wold won't JUST become warmer, it'll get warmer in summer and COLDER in winter. BUT i have BIG BIG doubts that the way HUMANS are acting is going to change anything. 2 reasons. First, and you cannot disapprove this one: George Carlin's - Saving the Planet. Second, there is evidence of such events occurring on the planet millions of years ago

  • amazing comeback dan!

  • Even if you don't believe in global warming, you need to believe in global pollution. The earth may or may not be heating up due to excessive fuel consumption, but the litter and garbage all around the world is damaging the ecosystem on a level that humans don't even realize.

  • you said our planets heating up right? maybe we should stop putting salt on snow so it stays settled longer :P

  • Yesterday I got back from a festival in the UK called 2000 Trees and it was unlike any other festival I've been to in it's eco-friendliness! Instead of just bins they had recycling stations everywhere, they generate their power from "locally-sourced chip-fat biodiesel" and all of the drinks that they serve are in biodegradable corn starch containers. I think that all festivals should be making a conscious effort to be more like this too!

  • you're really smart.. and aren't you from NPR? I've heard you on there before and I totally thought you were way older than you are lol. btw love your show and your face! :P

  • The Earth is warmer. Just not people's fault.

People will adapt as everything changes as water levels rise as whatever happens happens. We have adapted for millions of years and the Earth has changed a lot since then and I would say we are fine.

  • transcribe audio works really well on your videos. js

  • We can't say for SURE that the earth's heating is a product of us or that of nature until we have a few more centuries of study. If it's true, fine, we all get to die. But if it's not, then we are getting worked up over nothing. I am a man of science, but also of history and psychology. Scientifically, it makes some sense. Historically, we haven't researched it enough to prove it. And psychologically, humans have a tendency to speculate and to look at things blindly or based on society.

  • I'm reading a lot of backlash in the comments about climate change not being a fact. I think the point of this video is to not get caught up in arguing about that. Regardless of that argument, I think taking measures to make our world a better place is a great idea. Doing more green things like recycling or planting trees is not going to make our planet any worse. So why argue against it?

Let's stop arguing about what will happen in the future and start doing something to affect it.

  • You know... I agree with his "people are entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts". In the scientific community, people who study the climate, climate change is a fact and there is no debate as to whether it's real or not. The fact that politicians and people continue to resist this is beyond me......

  • Beautifullll.

  • I'd just like to say that this summer in Australia was the coldest summer we've had in like 40years...... So, not all the world is getting hot..... Just in 2009 we had the hottest summer we've had in like 40years..... The temperature here is going up and down like it should!!!

  • I believe the climate of our Earth is changing, but personally, I don't believe that small percentage changes in our atmosphere from pollution has more of an effect on our Earth than OUR SUN itself (not saying I believe pollution is right, however). The Sun goes through periodic changes (more solar flares in a time period than other time periods) causing the Earth to follow (which we are experiencing right now). I believe adapting to climate change vs. being a green citizen are two animals.

  • Yeah.... I didn't even bother watching the video after he said "people are entitled to their own opinions, not their own facts. Climate change is a fact." That is completely ridiculous. "Climate change" is a retarded scam. It's not real. That is a fact. 4 years ago, I could see why people believed it, but with the events in the last year, its just stupid.

  • ssa sdrawkcab

  • I think Im going to light a forest on fire, piss in a lake, and buy a lifted 4x4 thanks to this video! Thanksk bro you changed my life!

  • Wars over water? I guess mankind isn't worth saving.

  • Your idea is good, but it's only a start. Even if consumers were to recycle 100% of waste, that would only account for about 2% of ALL waste. Corporate and manufacturing waste accounts for the other 98%, so to solve this problem, you need to offer incentives to businesses to make them want to be proactive about it. Most of the time it is unprofitable to get rid of waste responsibly, so companies will do the bare legal minimum to be responsible. Their bottom line is on their income statement.

  • And yet, I can't buy into this anthropogenic climate change crap.

  • A little bit of civil disobedience--which in this case I can't see hurting anyone--to help the state of our planet for us and our children sounds good, Dan.

  • I LOVE the chess ^^

  • stop eating meat.. problem lessened by x1000 fold.

  • @DarkKokiri No, it doesn't.

  • More trees = less co2 (carbon dioxide). Plant more trees = less global warming.

  • no matter what we do to this planet, it will flush us out and we will start again. energy and vibration doesnt go away, its what we are made of, its what the universe is made out of. planets are made of some of the same compounds and elements we are made of, if you understand the way matter forms, and how things combine, your brain will tell you that its way bigger than us and what we do, or could have done better. it is a flow and it will do as it will. thats as close to source as i can get

  • lol dude ive been doing the shit with stickers for years! im already ahead of you.

  • Opinions are like nipples. Everyone has at least one.

Sadly, your nipples are ugly, Dan.

  • Who remembers the thing in the 80's about "Global Cooling?" One of the things the scientists wanted to do was MELT the ice caps.

  • Uploaded on my birthday whoooooooooo

  • Recycling is a waste of time, money, energy, resources, etc, etc. With the exception of aluminum, of course. There you save... but you notice how you don't need a "program" to recycle the only useful item on the list?

  • @KOakaKO Recycling paper saves trees, which in turn cuts the pollution, which in turn helps to save the Ozone Layer, which in turn helps to lower the climate. Plastics take years and years and years to decompose. That means it will sit in a landfill for 100 or so years, forcing us to cut and clear another landfill, which means we cut more trees.

As for ideas, what about Green Earth Day? A day where everyone does something small, like recycle or use less water, for the bettering of the planet?

  • @SealFormulaMaster - You don't need to "save trees". The US has 50% MORE trees growing right now than 150 years ago, because people who cut them down plant many more. That's why wood and paper are "renewable resources". It takes MORE energy to "recycle" paper products than it does to grow a tree and make paper out of it, so if you're a fan of recycling anything besides aluminum - you're wasting energy and resources. Good intentions aren't enough. Study the facts of recycling and you will see.

  • I love your views on things, they are more the views of everyone in the world, you speak common sense and logic, it makes perfect sense, love it

  • I care about the planet as much as anyone els but i will not panic just because politicians want me too. The planet is getting hotter as are all the planets in the solar system but there's little if not nothing any of us could do about. Meanwhile humanity has slightly more pressing matters that we could do something about. This douche is working in the interests of people like Al Gore and he knows it.

  • What does recycling have to do with climate change?

  • where i live it doesnt cost money to recycle at the transfer station - but tons of people are throwing recyclables away. some companies will even pay you to recycle. Any ideas how to spread this sort of knowledge? if people know what they are doing, the effect of their actions, and the 'greener' alternatives they're more likely to make a better choice - pretty much i like the sticker idea so long as the backing is enviro friendly

  • Also, there goes Dan, encouraging Vandalism. :D

  • Why do we humans think we can do something about this/? That's the real crisis.

  • I work at starbucks and quite a few people ask about recycling. We don't have any but I definitely think we should but as a normal employee I have no control over it. The stickers would lead to harassment of employees who don't have control.

  • Dan's views are going down and down and down....

  • @romg82 That is a really worthy issue to be researching. I'm glad someone is looking into this in an official capacity. I really wish there could be more for me to contribute, but I'm afraid I'm just not as smart as you are regarding this! I can give you anecdotal accounts of when I've tried to convince the unconvinced that climate change is a real, anthropogenic problem, but I'm pretty sure you could get the same story from just about anyone of like mind. Thank you for doing what you're doing!

  • LOL. Nice burn to Michael Bay :D

  • all electric cars, or maybe walk more, but we all know thats not going to happen cuz the government is not gonna allow it and we dont like to walk. shit they bitch at me if i smoke at a restaurant but car smog is way way way worse, (9 ppl died at a party cuz someone had the brialliant idea to put the car inside cuz the power went out and they needed music!) and nobody does SHITTT!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sixty three years old. I have been promised the world would end in imminent disaster through nuclear holocaust, over population, and now global warming. All of these threats are real, but none of them warrant panic. Panic is the currency of politicians and other unscrupulous types. Do what you can, but don't let fear ruin your day..

  • @Proudledrapper That was rather inspiring sir, thank you.

  • @KoolThing14 You are welcome.
