IMHO that absolutely IS Bobby Troup, which would mean this clip came from the Emmy Award-winning ABC-TV show "Stars of Jazz", which he hosted and narrated during it's 1956-58 run. see (jazzprofiles.blogspot.com/2011/12/bobby-troup-stars-of-jazz.html)
I was a 20-yr-old w/ a fake id in '51, living in a boarding house by the old SF State campus, along w/ some music students. One Sun nite they invited me to hit the Club Hangover (the radio ads had to call it the Club Hanover) to hear the Firehouse 5. I had never heard Dixieland before and was entranced immediately. My fave was "World is Waiting for the Sunrise", especially when they cranked up the siren for their final romp at the end of the song.
Just fantastic; I still have two 78 rpm vinyl records that my daddy bought back in the early 60s' and they're amazing. It's included a stunning 12th Street Rag performed on the Banjo which is something to shout for!! The best version of this classic I've ever heard. Irresistible, the groove is contagious.

I wish they had more shots of the band, which I happen to be a big fan of.
