  • nice job. well done

  • hey, i see you got yourself a good setup, im thinking on getting my 4th conga, and listening to this piece thats exactly the gamma of sounds i want to have, i see you're using meinlheadliner series, if not much of a bother, could you tell me the sizes you're using and which one goes where? i mean the one on your front, sides and at the back front, thanks! and great drumming!!!

  • outstanding

  • Which of the four congas you repeat? Cause luis conte series congas are only 3 of them, and I´am guessing you tune diferrently the 2 repeted congas

  • very tuneful and controlled playing.

  • bravo!

  • gracias por las clases de bossa

  • super excelente amigo

  • @pedro12519 Grazie Pedro!! :D

  • EXCELLENT LEARNING EXAMPLE - THANK YOU - WHAT BACK TRACK ARE YOU USING?

  • @nazhiker Thank you! The song title is "Som Bossa" by Fumoteka Club!

  • Awesome

  • @mmmmiiiiicccc Thank you mmmmiiiiicccc!! :D

  • whats the difference between a conga and a tumbadora

  • @wannabeKeithMoon I think that "conga" is a commercial name. Usually conga is the 11" 3/4 drum and "tumbadora" is 12" 1/2 drum.

  • @Elaron83 In my understanding: Congas are called Tumbadoras in Cuba. And the tumba would be the low drum.

  • @MMDreamer Yes, that's right. Congas is only a commercial name, and i think that "tumba" is only the short name of "tumbadora"! ThanK you for you comment!

  • Estas tocando en tu bano? jajaja

  • @jclarosa It's my old kitchen without furniture :)

  • felicidades hermano tokas muy bien exelente

  • @chabelopompo Gracias por tu comentario chabelopompo! :D

  • Great tune, excellent practice feast! I can dig this for hours!!!

I watched the Tony Mayfield videos that someone recommended as premium? but it's too fancy show for my taste...and NOT clear sounds at all...sorry!

GREAT WORK ELARON?? is that your name??

  • Hi DimVogaz! Thank you for watching my videos and comment it! For me Tony Mayfield is not a "Premium" conga player... He play with no conga technique, no conga rhythms...like "beach conga player". It's only my opinion :D. You can see real premium conga players like Giovanni Hidalgo, Paoli Meijas, David "La Mole" Ortiz, Pepe Espinosa, Pakito Baeza etc etc...

My name is not "Elaron" but "Simone" and i'm Italian :)

  • Hey, thanks for replying to me!

Well, yes I totally agree with your comment "beach conga".... Yes of course I know Giovanni Hidalgo,he has been my "teacher" through his videos... I am also a big fan of Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto, Patato Valdez... but I will look for the others that you have mentioned...!

Thank you again, I like your taste and style anyway!

My name is Dimitris and I am Greek :))

  • Nice playing dude!

Is these 1 conga and 3 tumbadoras? What tuning are you using for each drum?

    Thanks

  • Hi geox01!

Yes,it's one conga and three tumbadoras Meinl Luis Conte. In this video i'm not using a particular tune for my congas because it's a "training session", but usually i tune it in "Re -> Si -> Sol -> Mi". I don't know english notation :P.

Thank you for the comment! Bye!

  • Ciao ragazzo.Sono nikmm del forum congaplace.Proprio ieri ho ordinato conga e tumba Conte.

  • Comment removed

  • very cool rhythm, thanx! I am intrigued by congas over Brazilian grooves, more please.

  • guys if you think this guy is good or any of the conga players are good - place in the search engine "tony mayfield" he place the conga's unlike you have ever seen before. He free styles and can make 38 different beats in one session. He makes the drums sing and plays upto 6 go seach you will be mystified at this guy.

  • Thanks arthurbyurbanjir!

The song is "Som Bossa" by Fumoteka Club. I found it in a Compilation called "Bossa Nova Montecarlo Nights - Cafe Del Mar - Buddha Bar 2006"

  • wow, cool! can i know the title of the song? thx!
