I'm an American so I don't know much about EastEnders but I was wondering, is every Christmas episode so miserable? I've seen many videos of EastEnders and every Christmas, someone has either died or did something else that's rather depressing.

They tried the Happy Christmas in 2003 with Kat and Alfie getting married and 2005 when they reconciled after a short split and left but neither well recieved.

Research has shown People don't want HAPPY in EE at Christmas.

Well, he stole some money from the Christmas Club to pay for something and he tried to make it look like a genuine theft. The Police soon arrested him and he developed a mental disorder which eventually led to this...

@yethboth he got caught by the cops trying to steal funds for a christmas bash or something, people forgave him because they knew he needed the money to help pay for his daughter's wedding but years of being unemployed and shitty job and the idea of going to prison finally tipped arthur off the edge and after being hit with melancholia, he finally had a nervous breakdown. a tragic,tragic charachter but a lovely lovely man.
