  • its good

  • The real Ting, who is Ting.

  • good reactions guys but you need to refer your push hand to 'real' tai chi push hands like avoding, switching, pressing down, grounding etc. :D you'll need to work a lilttle bit more on grounding and fa jing !! keep up a good work :D

  • Hmmmm',...looks like just struggle and bad grappleing. Doesn't look like taiji chwen. Jie ge chin na bu hao kan. jie ge mei yo tuai shou fa.

  • Good push hands in recreation terms. However, sorry to comment real taiji push hands cannot be like this. Maybe they are doing push hands for recreation and fun only therefore, it is OK.

Just remember beside sensing, push hands need to abide by all the taiji principles, i.e. centerline, body alignment, jin not broken etc. It should mimic a real combat. Otherwise, a touch to the body is like a strike in real combat.

  • eh, these two forgot the basics, they need to practice at slower speed and for the time being polish their skills without moving. Practice without moving, with a COOPERATIVE junction until you are able to freely sense via energy, where your partner is going to go.

  • yeah they're ok but i think they should clean up they're foot work a little and turn they're waists more cuz you're supposed to protect your center not constantly bring people in without sensing their intentions first.

  • There is a time to train sensibility, listening and other "jing" and a time to apply it freely... They are applying in a very correct way because they had trained it... If you only train "jing" and never try to apply it freely, you will never be able to apply it outside the exercises... Much respect to those practitionners! They are definitly doing the real thing! Stop wearing flashy silky clothes! :-)

  • some of these comments are not correct!

    this is the real stuff!

and is the right way to train it!

I'm not sure what level they are but they are good and on the right path!

thank you so much for this.

  • Amen to that!

  • qiankun,

    I like ur 1st comment..

    Keep up

  • To me they are doing THE REAL THING in semi contact form training & practice.

Why ? there no prefixed attacked & defence where the bald guy r actually more superior as he can deflec the opponent force & "Chai" - lock in the opponent hand which he did not apply or extend fully.

One thing I realised is, most viewer prefered to watch a prefix form practice so thay could pick up some technique kind of clip or movie but not those non-prefixed type which is not so much of viewer expectation.

  • and Nah this isn't the real thing. they Dun understand taijiquan at all and their techniques are Un-taiji.

  • Dun explore techniques in tuishou as techniques are limited. train ur "understanding-jing" and "listening-jing" and "neutralising-jing".aim for "si liang bo qian jing".to achieve it u need to achieve "yin jing luo kong". at the advance level peng,lu,ji,an can be expressed as a formless energy because "no forms is superior to forms" and "gong is superior to form-techniques".

  • Tui Shou is practice in 3 or 4 (depending on source) levels of approach, depending what is being study through this one of several practive methods of taijiquan. In addition, it may also be used to demostrate or explore specific techniques, and there by applications. But don't really see any of that happening here. Though being ''at play'' can also serve its purpose, I suspose.

  • they are playing and not showing to teach.

  • that was cool

  • wth?

  • actually I dont think they're using brute force I reckon theyre recycling energy at such a close range that it seems like pushing. look again

  • correct!

  • thanx, after 8 months I forgot what i wrote...

  • Can you upload an example (video slot) what is the meant by the real thing?

  • This ain;t the real thing, this is some sort of brute push. If one guy happens to be stronger and tougher, he will always win. Tui Shou is not always techinques but this one shows no techniques. Tui Shou is about using correct power, this one shows no power. Yikes! This is embarrassing.
