They are not two strokes, 4 stroke diesels.

The flip side is that they do quite nicely on veggie oil as well. There is a Tatra in California that runs on waste vegetable oil. Smells like french fries and much cheaper than petro-diesel and it won't kill the pump seals like biodiesel.
