i think its amazing how anime's can have so much realism. I watched deathnote, highschool of the undead, and watch naruto. all have such powerful story's. yes highschool of the undead is a bit distracting but, isn't it amazing? how we can fall in love with the characters. cry when they cry, rage when they rage. i thank my god everyday for the nice life he has given me, but i cant help it... sometimes i wish my life could be one of these story's.

Funny. I just rewatched the Near/Mello saga after a good six months since seeing it the first time and it was far better than I remembered it. Leads me to believe that the Near/Mello eps are actually really quite good. We all just get so use to the brilliance that is L when he died it was like quitting an addictive drug cold turkey. Near and Mello aren't enough as they are to fill that horrible hole...

Light's intentions were good to begin with, but - as is usual with power - he became corrupt, and ended up becoming evil himself. That's why I love Death Note so much, it really makes you question good and evil

i think death note shows well that there's no good or evil. in fact it's never really the matter of the story. let's say L is good and Light evil. Light wins against L but loses against Near (good as successor of L), so it's still equal with 1:1. And also as seen there was "less" criminality while Kira was active. Regarding this, it's possible to argument that L was evil and Light good. (L tried -not on purpose - to reincrease criminality.)

I much prefer the anime over the movie. After watching the anime first I feel the movie goes against the anime's principles. For example Light always tried to keep the note book a secret in the anime. But in the film he's using the bloody thing in public. So kinda makes the film feel like a fan boy rote the script but didn't follow the anime. Sorry if I'm being to harsh but still I just really hated the film.
