  • One of the better benders I have seen on youtube,,,maybe a couple of springs for return on the jack would make it easier to use...good work fyerfighter.

  • @Hermanvogel

Thanks for the good word. The jack came with return springs but they are not that strong.

  • It is good to see someone utilize their imagination to complete a great project. Knowledge is power! The best and easiest to understand workbook which can be used by anyone to become an accomplished conduit, tube or pipe bender can be found on a youtube website at /t04041951

  • Lol, @2:11, did he jus tell his girl to SHHHH?!

  • If your talking about the spring back of the bend you have to compensate by bending a little past were you want it. Then it will come to rest at the right spot.

  • Good job ,the metal allways turn back some grades on the curve , how do you handle it ?

  • great job!...how about a quick video with some closeups of the bender showing components working so we can duplicate the machine always wanted a tubing bender ..wouldve helped in my coupe build...

  • @johncartelli Thanks,

I will try and get something taped when I get a chance. I've been thinking of this for a while.

  • Nice song in the background

  • I use a steel protractor to find the angles. I've seen them at Harbor Freight. They have a scale with a long arm to find the angle and a thumb screw to hold the angle once you found it.

  • very nice, do you have plans ?

  • Respond to this video... No I don't have the plans any more. It is similar to the protools bender and in fact uses the protools dies. The difference between the two is this one bends from the bottom and not the top. Hope this helps.

  • Thank you all for your comments. I hope to update the video later and show some more shots of it in action. Stay tuned.

  • Sweet ass machine man ,work,s great and theres hardly any spring back .

  • You're on my favorites list , thanks!

  • exelents

  • Excellent presentation, thanks for posting.

  • voir notre vie de merdre a cote de la Ferronnerie de l'Argens qui nous arrose journalierment avec la peinture en plein air.....vieaffreuse.fr

  • The protools 200 (which style I like better, jack on the bottom, bend at top where nothing's in the way) is more like what I'm building. Also less bending over.

Of course, my ceiling is high.

  • Hi there! I'm building myself a tube bender with the same principles as yours. The only doubt is: Is it really necessary to use a 12 ton jack? Couldn't it be a weaker one (6-8-10 ton)? Good luck on your projects!

  • Not sure about using a smaller jack. When you start bending thicker and larger diameter tubing you will want that extra force.

  • Now throw it on a work bench, The hell with bending over like that all day!! NICE BENDER THOUGH! Needs springs to retract!!

  • ... hydraulic? Oh 1 1/4 inch tubing, i was about to ask wtf you needed hydraulics for... now i will sit here quietly :)

  • Cool Bender,... Where did you buy the dies?

  • diff going to try and make this type of bender. Im glade i found one being used looks like it works out pretty good.

  • NICE!!!!!!! good job

  • Best one ive seen.

Dude trow some springs on it so it will retract.

Im SOLD im building one thanks BRO

Where did u pick up the dies?

  • good job, good idea, greetings from germany

  • good work!

  • When I get home from work tomorrow I will look at the air compressor and get back to you. It's a stand up compreser from Home Depot.

  • What kind of PSI and CFM are you using ? Looks like a nice little bender too build
