The best villain in DBZ. Period. Not just because of his personality but of his influence. He destroyed Planet Vegeta and Namek, two of the most important planets in the universe, made Vegeta who he is and whose ruthless demeanor brought out the Legendary Super Saiyan. Without him, Goku would have never been sent to Earth and Dragonball wouldn't have begun.
Plus, he's no one's puppet unlike Cell and Buu who were designed for servitude. You like Dragonball so much? Thank Frieza.
Although I did not like his voice, Frieza was still my favorite villain. Cold monologues being one reason. But mainly because he didn't rely on a) borrowed powers, b) regeneration, or c) infinite ki, but instead on his own natural power, and STILL went toe to toe with a Super Saiyan, that he will have a place in my mind as one of my favorite cartoon villains. Unfortunately, he's still behind the Joker (Mark Hamill).

The only good thing that came from GT in my opinion was Vegeta was more or less close to equal with Goku when they went SSJ4. Vetega was always close, but Goku would pull ahead in the end. Then in the Buu saga they basically pissed on Vegeta by having Goku hold back in their fight when it would have been better if they were equal and Goku turned SSJ3 later. Vegeta'a best moments in Buu was his sacrifice, his lines in kid buu fight, and when he give respect to Goku.
@TheShikenation you know vin my oppinion vegeta was always the best fighter. not the strongest but he knew how to fight. i mean it took ssj 3 goku to fight with kid buu and vegeta did it in ss2. so even though hes weeker hes still bad ass
@TheShikenation agreed, we should've seen Goku's first SS3 transformation, perhaps out of anger when Vegeta had him pinned. Would've been more dramatic.
@TheShikenation not really goku was still far stronger than vegeta, goku had been training while vegeta was relaxing gokus ssj4 power level was much higher than that of vegetas sadly gt just sucked all around, except for ssj4 it was mentioned in the frieza saga so it was cool to finally have a ssj4 design, because it was all about goku it as boring to see goku beat up one person after another with out anyone helping him other than to power him up

@Blaze187Killa yeah thats the problem the ending said MAKE GT! if toriyama had just made vegeta a ssj3 and had goku and vegeta duke it out that would have been a good way to end it but no toriyma had to bring uub into this which screamed make a sequel because z ended horribly and least GT made a somewhat satisfying conclusion

@Blaze187Killa Remember that Vegeta was a Majin during their fight. He may have resisted Babid's control, but he still got the power increase that came with it. If they were on par while he was a Majin then Goku would have been stronger if Vegeta fought him without the power increase.
Although i like cell and all the other villains in the series they dont come close to this guy. And the music just adds to the character completly fits him
i hate it how easily trunks beated freeza i was realy dissapointed i mean i know mecha freeza is like 50 times weaker then normal freeza but seriously be logical if you can survive a spirit bomb that damages a whole planet how the hell is a sword gunna cut you in half also mecha is is metal right the sword should have broke and seriously freeza could easily dodge that sword atack maybe freeza was afraid of super sayans so he was stuned and didnt move still lame .

@NaviTheFairy123 1st one is impossible because the only relation freiza has with the saiyans is conquering them, and a paranoia about them one day surpassing him in power because of their amazing ability to become stronger quickly. his only deal with then was that one would become a super saiyan and kill him. also there hadnt been a super saiyan around for a millenia, so its impossible that a saiyan would be able to kill his mom.

Frieza was a by far a powerful villain he honestly could've defeated Goku even as a Super Saiyan. Frieza could've won if he wasn't playing with him when he reached 100% of his power and besides he already took a beat down by that Spirit Bomb Goku thrown at him.
@xLilCuzzo420x No goku REALLY took a beating before that, and the spirit bomb drained his power level a lot, When one transforms in ssj, their power lvl multiplies by 50. So frieza got lucky that he actually stood a chance against goku for like 5 min?

@xLilCuzzo420x It DID drain his energy: check out that episode again. Goku looked A LOT more tired than frieza, he couldn't even move well, while frieza could. Check again how goku gathered the energy for the spirit bomb. It wasn't much at all, and there wasn't much life either. True frieza played with him, but do you have any idea how much pain goku got from it? Also the kaiokan drained him a lot as wel, must i go on? I could make a whole list of those things.

In the manga...100% Frieza gets OWNED by Goku in nearly less than 10 mins. Yet in the anime he put up a fight. Why? In the canon world (manga) he got owned in less than 5 mins.

@NaviTheFairy123 1st one is impossible because the only relation freiza has with the saiyans is conquering them, and a paranoia about them one day surpassing him in power because of their amazing ability to become stronger quickly. his only deal with then was that one would become a super saiyan and kill him. also there hadnt been a super saiyan around for a millenia, so its impossible that a saiyan would be able to kill his mom.

Frieza was a by far a powerful villain he honestly could've defeated Goku even as a Super Saiyan. Frieza could've won if he wasn't playing with him when he reached 100% of his power and besides he already took a beat down by that Spirit Bomb Goku thrown at him.

@xLilCuzzo420x No goku REALLY took a beating before that, and the spirit bomb drained his power level a lot, When one transforms in ssj, their power lvl multiplies by 50. So frieza got lucky that he actually stood a chance against goku for like 5 min?

Frieza took a huge beating from the Spirit Bomb if he hadn't he would've defeated Goku even if he was a Super Saiyan besides he was already beating Goku ass when he reached 100% Frieza kept playing with him though which he screwed up on.

@xLilCuzzo420x It DID drain his energy: check out that episode again. Goku looked A LOT more tired than frieza, he couldn't even move well, while frieza could. Check again how goku gathered the energy for the spirit bomb. It wasn't much at all, and there wasn't much life either. True frieza played with him, but do you have any idea how much pain goku got from it? Also the kaiokan drained him a lot as wel, must i go on? I could make a whole list of those things.

@SuperDivinefist LOL getting hit from a Spirit Bomb is the worst out of all Goku has suffered LOL. Goku transforming increased and raised his energy up while Frieza remained in the same form and just used what he had left to use of his 100% power but still managed to over power Goku.
If Frieza wouldn't have been playing with Goku he would've won he's just like Vegeta so I would know they like playing around when they know they can win but when they over do it they become overpowered ; ).

1. Frieza made 3 transformations already, so i think it's rather fair to let goku make 1
2. When one turns into a super saiyan, his power lv multiplies with 50. BUT goku was so damn tired you could see. So his super saiyan power lv wasn't at it's maximum, frieza however....
goku gave him time to reach 100% and goku was holding back too.

In the manga...100% Frieza gets OWNED by Goku in nearly less than 10 mins. Yet in the anime he put up a fight. Why? In the canon world (manga) he got owned in less than 5 mins.

Yes i know what you've said already, that both are created by the same person. BUT the anime became different, sure because of the filler they added... but since they are different now, you need to look for other reasons in the anime self!
Goku has stated: worrying about the safety of others and he thought frieza might change his ways.... that's why he was holding back.

Frieza was still in the same form he just maxed out his power at 100% and it made him stronger than Goku as a Super Saiyan. It was an even match, BTW goku said he was holding back a lot as well even though he took a long beating before being super saiyan. He was holding back because he thought frieza might change his ways, but a clown like him would never. Check out the episode when trunks and goku meet for the first time, then you'll see.
