The bigger the barrel the bigger the curls :) I have super straight hair and I use the 1 1/2 inch hot tools curling iron and it works super well to create big lush curls

And for the barrel on your curling iron, its just for how you want your curls to look. the shorter the barrel, the tighter the curls. I have long hair, a bit longer than yours and I like loose curls with a larger barrel. (I think looser curls look better than tighter curls on long hair)

However if the curls are too tight or small for you and your using a smaller barrel, just pull the ends down to loosen them.

If you don't get a curling iron, then you can always use a straightener to curl hair

and how big your barrel is for your curling iron really depends on how you want to curl it...i personally think that long hair looks best with a bigger barrel and shorter hair with a smaller barrel...but it really is totally up to you

The barrel on your curling iron depends on which curls you want. If you get a really tiny one you'll get small tight curls and if you get a bigger barrel your curls will be bigger and more loose but your curling iron that you want is a perfect size I have the same one :)

the barrel is like the part of the curler where u wrap ur hair around :) 1 inch is the width of it. it should be fine with ur hair!
