That's Adobe After Effects. You just create a composition and crop the videos to match comp size.

omg that's so cool, i'm playing the piano too and when i record 3 hands on the piano, i only put the sound of the third hand into the original video with movie maker. but which software do you use in order to play two videos in the same time as that one?? it's so interesting! i'd like to try it! ^^ nice job BTW

I use Adobe After Effects CS3 - just recorded the bottom layer left vid, moved it left a bit, then recorded the right one (with a headphone playing a background in the ear :), and placed in the right. The sound is overlayed by default, so the levels are high, and there's some distortion. Lower the volume a bit.) Good luck, looking forward to your vid.)
