I believe the original is actually played using key of E blues chords with a capo on the second fret. Guitar tutorial on my page...

@howtotuneaguitar Actually, I believe it's in the key of G with the capo on the second fret. It sounds most right the way I've got it. And if you dig around you can find some live vids of him playing it in G, along with most of the covers as well. But like with anything its not carved in stone so as long as you're using the I - IV - V -vi -I it'll work out fine. And if anybody doesn't know the numbering system for chords I would strongly suggest learning it. It's worth it's weight in gold.

@golffreak246 if i remember right i changed the pitch by a whole step. The original is played with the chords I used her but with a capo on the second fret. Just make the adjustment accordingly to match the original.
