  • It's John Sheridan / TRON! :-D

  • I just noticed... When you hear Reba you react like we did with Whitney. You know that distinctive voice, it stops you, and you smile. Thank you Reba. Miss you Whitney.

  • i really like rebas songs :-) thanks

  • Reba did an excellent cover of an already excellent song. They both did good.

  • Many songs have been around for awhile. They never reach their true potential until the right singer comes along. Unchained melody written in 1936. Recored 500+ times in many languages. The Righteous Brother's in 1964, made it standout. Just as Reba does with this song.

  • 19 people like rebecca black just sayin stupid people

  • Your truly an amazing talented and beautiful woman. keep being you. God bless

  • This song was originated by the Everly Brothers

  • she sounds like Dolly in this song.

  • @stylestar07 Sounds like Dolly in background. She's my 3ed cousin.

  • The F.B.I could not find an whore in an whore house

  • Am I wrong, or did the Everly Brothers cut this record in 1958?? This is an interesting setting for what had been a high school song.

  • @pastrami1945 I think it was in 1960.

  • @pastrami1945 You are correct. It was one of their biggest hits. 1960

  • Reba is great but I watch this video for Bruce Boxleitner. The man is still handsome at 61 but when this video was made he was downright devastating!

  • @ChannelBJCF Bruce was the husband of Melissa ...shoot.. you know, Laura Ingals.

  • she is number one in my book

  • Do I have this right? Reba is a prostitute who is in love with Bruce. Kathy is making a fool of Bruce and Reba who is in love with Bruce sings the lament. Is that right?

  • @RImusclebear1

Exactly right! 16 people must not have understood it and hit dislike!

  • Remember this song from an old casette my mother had with Stars on 45, always loved it, and now finally she remembered the group and the name of the song ... This song is My favorit now matter what kind of version, fell in love with it when I was about 6 years old and now I am 33 and that love will Never Die :)

  • whath a great and beautful voice and great vidieo

  • Yeah and Buck Taylor (Newly) from Gunsmoke and old Paul Brinegar (Wishbone) from Rawhide. Nice group of 50's era cowboys.

  • Hey, I saw Johnny Crawford in there, you know The Rifleman's kid

  • I love this version of the song! She does so well, and I love it! Can't believe I had not heard of it before.

  • Love this video - not sure if I love Reba in it more or my cousin Bruce Boxleitner. He is such a good looking guy.

  • @caoinaz Huh??

  • i love this song so when i saw the video on here i had to have it

  • At first, I was like, "Cool song." And then I was like, "Holy cow, is that Bruce Boxleitner?" And then I was suddenly paying very close attention to this video. Thank you. Thank you, video. I'm glad you exist.

  • I love it

  • watch?v=vUG0oyKpxOg

    B&B & Reba

  • Ha Ha Ha Mean Mamma Reba!

  • this song is originally by The Everly Brothers

  • Dolly Parton's my idol, but Reba's my fave singer ever!!!!! Two amazing people, and country legends. thy should make a movie with her in it based on this song. I like to write, mabey I culd write it?? just a thought....

  • So glad to find this!! My momma used to play this all the time and I used to sing and sing to it, I actually still remember every word! lol Reba is the best!!

  • Bruce Boxleitner sure makes a seXy cowboy compared to the rest in the saloon!!! (LOL)

  • since i've got about three to four minuits for vevo to load this song just thought I would drop a little note to say VEVO SUCKS!!!!

  • I personally would say that Dolly is the Queen of country, mainly for these reasons: She is more well known worldwide, She has been doing it longer, More worldwide hits, and Anybody that can influence the LEGEND REBA must be good :D

    RULE REBA AND DOLLY

  • and they say amy lee has a strong voice.....

  • @AMelancholyRaven OMG! IKR?!?! xD

  • I love how you can feel it when their eyes meet. It's perfect.

  • narvel is so hot in this vid

  • I love how Reba fans and Dolly Fans get along and dont argue. Usually people argue if some1 says two people are just as good lol ! :D

  • Reba and Dolly need to fo a duet album !

  • @mjhart123 I agree!!

  • @mjhart123 YESSS!!

And Reba and Jennifer Nettles! Well, maybe not a whole album but at least one song!

  • how was this video not HUGE????

  • @Rebaluvr1234 I don't get it either!

  • I like this version of Cathy's Clown, it's western and has horses. How's that for a story (secret admirer*) and love too! Next is Reba's Turn On The Radio!

  • DOLLY >>>>>> reba.......

  • Found this by accident, love it. Big Bruce fan. He is so expressive without a word.

  • Those 15 to 20 seconds that start at the two minute mark always get to me. The best Reba video. Seeing a lot of familiar cowboys in this was a hoot. Bruce Boxleitner, after Scarecrow but before John Sheridan. This video came to mind many times while I was watching Babylon 5. I should have looked this up ages ago.

  • @Nikia2165 omg i know what you mean this is my first time watching this video but i love it how she looks into his eyes and tells him how it is . its awesome

  • This particular western looks like a mini series that turned into a weekly show during 1978 and 1979. It was called How the West Was Won and starred James Arness, Bruce Boxlightner, Fionola Flannagan and many others. It had beautiful theme music.

  • @debralee19 I thought I recognised the set.

  • ifeel sad for the 11 ppl who disliked this

  • The Video was most likely made for Country Music television (CMT) in the late 80's or early 90's.. Most Americans alive in the late 50's and early 60's will recognize the men at the poker tables and bar as stars from late 50's and early 60's TV shows when westerns were very popular.

  • i am always speech less after i hear her March 5 i almost fainted because i saw her live in chicago il

  • This loks like it's from a movie. Is it?

  • Reba is great because she is so good---anyone who is a fan will know exactly what I mean.

  • Never heard of this lady, but lovely country voice

  • actually it was the everly brothers. way before the beatles were even known of

  • Comment removed

  • @ambertojoe27 --thank you! people need to know what' they're talking about before they go disputing other people's statements. :0) --also sorry about the random reply (it was meant for another person and I replied to you by mistake).

  • This is, by far, my favorite song she has ever put out. Definitely the best remake I've ever heard. This song was originally sang by the Everly Brothers.

  • @codyp86 ...actually, The Beatles did this song :)

  • one of the best she put out ....i have to say!

  • WHO IN THE HELL PUSHED THE DAMN DISLIKE BUTTON!? COME ON PEOPLE SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vodkalover123Ad now I've done it in error! Vision impaired! LOVE Reba.

  • beautiful :)

  • Reba is the best singer ever!!! No one will ever beat her at that.

Okay who in the HELL push the dislike button?!

  • I love the eye part, where it shows them up close looking at eachother, eyes speak volumes, though they never utter a word.

  • After some Googling, I found out that this song was written by the Everly Brothers, not Roy Orbison.

  • (C) 1989 MCA Nashville, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc.

  • Reba.....So very talented and love what she's done to, Roy Orbison's song, another, great artist.

  • LOVE HER LOVE HER AND LOVE HER

  • That is one her best remake of a song that I ever heard. She has one of the country singing voices I ever heard.

  • I love Reba and i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Remember this song from when I was a kid-- maybe 1960?? I'm not crazy about Reba, generally, but she's got a fix on this one. The first few lines sounded exactly the way I remember them from the original by ??Leslie Gore??

  • @vhanktank The Everly Brothers in 1965.

  • @HonoraryBeaner Nope; the Everly Brothers may have sung it, but I was listening to in in '58 or '59 and it was sung by some gal, maybe Connie Stevens-- can't remember who but she sounded just like Reba in the first verse.

  • @vhanktank Apr 1960 - The Everly Brothers, Don and Phil, had been established pop stars for years when their song “Cathy's Clown” appeared half a century ago, in early April 1960.

  • WOW! she fucking ruined a classic. The highlight of the original was the gorgeous vocal harmonies; this is a sad attempt

  • Did anyone else spot Wishbone from Rawhide and Newly from Gunsmoke at that card table?

  • @mikesb79 yea he later died but he will always be remembered for that role and do you remember rowdy yates?

  • @jkoncz yep. clint eastwood. A very YOUNG Clint Eastwood. Used to watch the reruns with my dad all the time. They dont make TV shows like that anymore.

  • @mikesb79 No I didn't notice them at all which one is who?

  • This song reminds me of my gma =( she used to sing it all the time...

  • Isn't that the Dr.Quinn set?

  • @Techie2489 no it's not (trust me my mom has had me watch it so many times I hae all the lines memorized) my Boyfriend and I are on pisit sides it's either from the gambler no the first one but the second one, or if you listen to him it's from Tombstone. not 100% sure which one it is

  • @Techie2489 Don't know never watched that worthless western?

  • Anybody have clips of her from "the Gambler" wearing the lether pants and smoking a cigarillo?

  • Its Bruce Boxleitner. He starred in Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Babylon 5 and TRON (see him in the new Tron!). He is also a Sci Fi author. Have had a crush on him since I was a kid and loved this video! Reba has great taste in leading men.

  • @Kris1907 did u know he was married to melissa gilbert i think they r still 2 gether they make a great couple

  • @sherrie1974 They just announced a couple of weeks ago that they are separating. They were together about 15 years. Two of my favorites from 80's TV.

  • @Kris1907

He also starred in the "How the West Was Won" series with James Arness. Loved that show.

  • Man, that guy was hot whoever he was.

  • This was the first song Kelly Clarkson heard of Reba's. It's not hard to see why she fell for Reba, just like I did :)

  • i like emotional Music & this singer never know who is but now thank to my new friend Cecilia

  • that might be Kurt Russell

  • @rebafan19 no way far to busy with goldie and her kids to make music video

  • my only complaint about this song... it's too short.

  • @steph32984 It is too short. But that's usually the case with her Music (Why!!!!). As well as Country overall except a chosen few artists.

  • Awesome song

  • Reba did a credible cover of the Everlys. Hit #1 in Billboard, 7-29-89. God bless ya, Miss Reba!

  • The best song she ever done..

  • A very interesting twist on the old Everly Bros song and beautifully sung but for me the video isn't remotely connected to the words, whatever the ladies think of Bruce.

  • @ashuk1000 Bruce who? Please let me know. God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg Hi Dave, acording to some of the earlier posts here the actor, Bruce Boxleitner, plays the cowboy subject in the video. Hope this helps.

  • He was always such a hunk:)

  • I have loved this song ever since I bought the tape it was on over twenty years ago. I love Reba's version better than the original. This video is amazing, she always has awesome videos for her songs. Thanks for posting this video.

  • WOW..

  • I love when they zoom in on Bruce's face.....Man he was so hot

  • For those of you who are older and remember the Rifleman TV series. I think the cowboy who turns his head and smiles at the camera is Johnny Crawford, who played the son, Mark.

  • Butchered a classic. Shameful.

  • @jmh90 Then why are you here listening to it, fool?

  • @Essefen

I clicked on it, thinking it might be good.

  • Did this come out in 1989? I am almost positive that was the year. I remember when CMT introduced it as a brand new video.

  • Bruce Boxleitner is unbeleivably sexy!!! i love this song!

  • the best she does it as good mabey better then everly brothers

  • i love this song

  • Reba is perfect

  • As many times I have seen this video I just now noticed that the cowboy that this video is about is portrayed by Bruce Boxlightner. He's a good Actor too and Reba is by all my favorite Singer.

  • the way they look at eachother can be summed up in one word......STEAMY!

  • NO.

  • her hair looks like my downstairs

  • @bubword

i have just seen what you wrote so funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahhaha

  • From a woman's perspective, don't we wish men knew how this felt? This song tells a story that I'm sure most every woman I've ever met has felt.. But, nobody says it as well as Reba..

  • Reba's hair is out of control...like the video though, and her dress.

  • @PegasusViperAce75 that made me laugh so hard! And your right, it is :D

  • Bruce has really pretty eyes too:)

  • to dkadamson2007, it is Bruce Boxlightner, he stared with Lee Majors , " six Million Dollor man," and a lot of others,,

  • Love this song! Does anybody know who the main guy is in this video? Hes extremely good looking...might take the cake as the best looking one in ANY of Reba's videos!

  • @dkadamson2007 This is Bruce Boxleitner. He played in a lot of movies and shows. But my favorite was when he was the secret agent in the 80's TV show Scarecrow and Mrs. King (I'm a huge fan). He's been married to Melissa Gilbert who played Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie for over 15 years.

  • alright!

  • This song came out right about the time my parents were getting a divorce because my father was cheating on my mother. Ironicly the other woman's name was Cathy!

  • Reba Has The Most Amazing Voice Of Everybody!!! She is The only country Singer That i Kan Listen To!!!! She is Sooo Gorgeous Even In He Age She Is Still A num 1 Artists No one will ever Follow In her Foot Steps She Has Set Such A Beatiful Presence in Country Music and She Will Always And Forever Be the Best Country Artist in Mi Eyes I love you Reba Keep Going Strong!!!

  • Reba for the HALL OF FAME THIS YEAR .

  • VerY COOL!! to see Bruce Boxleitner :)

  • cathy's clown love that song!and how true it is.

  • What a voice Reba has. One of my favorite country singers. Fan of westerns so the vid is great to

  • Cathy must have been a real hoochie mama if he got sympathy from a woman working in a saloon lol

good song though, and i always liked the video :D

  • Yeah that was a handsome stranger, always liked this song

  • Vevo sucks!!!!

  • What a great song and an amazing video! That old-West-era recreation was so cool. I wish we saw more great music videos like this. Laura Bell Bundy's "Giddy On Up" video was cute, but not quite the same.

  • I fell in love with this great music vid the first time I saw it years ago. I still love it! It was so good it had me wondering what exactly did Cathy do to Bruce Boxleitner to humiliate him and make everyone laugh at him. Very nice intense acting from Boxleitner and Reba is gorgeous as usual! Thanks for posting this! Brings back alot of good memories!

  • One of my all time favorites of Reba's.

  • man every time ihear this song i think of my US history teacher Cathy S.
