my games i burn work but im having a bit of trouble with getting the game to boot every time i have to keep opening and shuting the disc drive it seems when the disc get a little scratch it is harder for the xbox to read it is there anyway to get it to read it every time

when i try to backup my gears of war the files that i get are video and audio what do i need i got all the programs that burn xbox 360 games but none of then let me back up my original games can anyone tell me why and i have a benq duallayer drive on my comp help plz

take it apart, plug in the dvd drive to your computer with a sata cable and download firmware bam done put it back together play online and get banned

dont do it if you are a online playa

my xbox is unmodded however a friend gave me his old one. this dvd drive broke in it. I ordered a samsung ts-h943 drive that I will mod when i get it. then im ordering a custom case to go around the system. after opening it, who needs a warranty they are so simple!

you have to have a dual layer writer samsung or lg drive.

When I clicked on extract I got this pop up message: "Only XBOX backup discs can be extracted on a normal DVD-ROM without a patched firmware! You can't extract original discs!" What did I do wrong? My dvd-rom is a Lite-On DVDRW LH-20A1H LL06.

Hi Skitcho... I think the problem is the dvdrom. I just purchased on ebay a Samsung Kreon Drive ($31). This should allow the xbox 360 game to be recognized on my computer, then the copy software should work. I will keep you posted with my progress. I hate all the secret shit on youtube. If you find a working solution, share all of it, not bits and parts!

where did you heard about samsung kreon? i've heard about pioneer that are good for dual layes. anyway if you got any news tell me.

I got the damn thing to work. Buy the Samsung Kreon Drive on Ebay. I got mine for $31 with free shipping. Download the latest version of Schtrom360Xtractor and CD Cloner. Follow the instructions on the video and it will work. I just backed up my Army of Two disc and it plays without any problems. Remember you need a modded Xbox 360!
