you just have to clear all the story modes for everyone at least couple times through with to unlock all the cards needed to tune your car for S rank. The first play through you should be able to get at least B rank and then with those cards you should be able to get A rank on the second play through. If you've already beaten the entire game two times ( that means clear all the chapters for everyone) and have unlocked all the "A" rank cards then let me know which specific race

How is the sounds. In a game i really like the cars to sound like they do in real life. Like forza motorsports 2 on xbox have really great sound to it. this game looks great though.

yes of course, that is a huge element of the game, balancing max horsepower without overheating during the top speed runs. you can also tune your car to run at higher temps without detonating.

career mode is just all the story modes for each character. As you clear the chapters other story modes unlock for other characters. even the semi truck driver guy lol.

the modifications work in two ways, for performance and tuning it's just the cards that you unlock. the others are during the car select you can change parts are you clear stages and meet certain requirements or ranks. The other cars are unlocked through survival mode. You have to win i think 100 races without losing to unlock all the cars. I don't think there is an option for a red supra though. but plenty of other supras to choose from actually.

it's not difficult to understand and pretty easy to figure out what is the goal of each race. example: some race you just have to win, other is time attack, and other is like survival mode.

yep it has free roam, and you get to drive many of the parts of fwy system that is not on wmmt3dx such as how different routes connect to each other and the transitions like from MIDDLE of wangan line to new belt line, c1, etc.. You'll see what i mean when u play the game btw, you can't download this game. You have to buy it somewhere.

To make the game realistic they included the dark areas of the street which the lampost could not light it up.Which makes it difficult to judge the bend or straight compare to maximum tune where the street are brightly lighted.You really have to play until you get used to the course.The engine part also served as a handicap.If you accerate too much without notice the engine meter.Your car will have engine blow and you have to restart the game again.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't have corners, turning is ridiculously hard. Making the small turns hard and dodging other cars hard too.

I pretty sure I'm going to buy this for the PS3 (plus a modchip) but I can't help thinking that this game looks a lot like the Tokyo Extreme Racer series now on the PS2. Is there any similarity? Does anyone know?? I'm hooked into the serie right now. I think I'm on Ep. 13 now. Anyways, been playing the Tokyo series for a few years now. Looking at the two, it seems like a "newer" version of tokyo extreme racer. Am I wrong??? Anyone know?

PS3s are region free so no need to modchip. It's buy Genki who previously made the Tokyo Highway Battle/Tokyo Extreme Racer/Shutokou Battle series and this is a continuation but with an official license now. The old games were all based on the anime, just without the license.

handling in the game I think is more of simulation type, so the cars understeer a lot, but if you think about the speeds in real life, thats what happens. And some ppl complain the cars don't handle well... Try turning hard when you're going 150mph+ my psn id is hard_gay lol I have a few other names too but thats the one i been using lately. I also play motorstorm

I agree with you 100%, I bought this game a few days ago and it really does look so freaking good. Better graphics and somewhat near realistic handling than Maximum Tune, and best part about it...you don't have to pay 2 bucks to play. LoL. But it really costs 2 bucks to play Max Tune where I live. ;(
