actually i noticed that the os2.02 has turned on the pop blocker so that makes a diffrence to the os2.0.1 guys if you want to upgrade your iphone make that the new firmware is stable...tanx for this video but my iphone os2.2 here loads faster than the iphone 2.02 i didnt even clean my cache yet..

The 2.02 iPhone has a full battery charge, while the 2.01 is almost dead. Also .01's hard drive has a lot more data on it than .02. I don't know if any of that would actually affect the performance but it's worth noting. I don't doubt the newer firmware makes things faster, but if that's how slow iPhone 2.01 3G network is at downloading I would be screaming.

Both work well. Apple will keep on perfecting their iPhone and ATT will place more 3G polls out there. At least both companies are trying to bring to America future technologies that the rest of the world already been using for years. Maybe we will see 4G (LTE) or WiMax being rolled out next year by ATT as well or T-mobile or even Verizon. The iPhone is still a great smartphone especially on wi-fi. Next year iPhone 4G. Lol.

I have the first gen iPhone with the 2.0.1 firmware. On my Edge connection, my iPhone pulled up the site 15 sec slower than the 3G/2.0.2 device and 50sec faster than the 3G/2.0.1 device. My wi-fi connection was virtually identical in result times. Glad I didn't get the 3G model. :)

That would slow things down I guess - not the most fair test - that would be both phones restored to 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 respectively with nothing else running or installed.

too bad u don't even know what ur talking about. all 2.0 firmwares do not allow apps to run in the background. instead, they must use sms or email, which doesn't slow down the phone at all. and installations of apps do not slow down the phone unless u have 7 to 9 pages of apps.
