Man, you can really see him tearing up on his close up shots. Especially around 4:17 a tear even runs down his cheek. I can only imagine how much it hurt trying to belt out those vocals. That's probably why there were so many random breaks in the song; it gave him time to recuperate.
i disagree, well maybe he did have laryngitis....but i have noticed over the years he's voice has gotton progressively weak..which is prolly y their last album was the way it was.............what u think ?

I think their latest album is pretty much what they (he) wanted it to be (so you think he had no other choice than to go that soft because of the condition of his voice? wow, I at least don't hope so)
however, I agree on that voice thing - what's up with that lately? he can't have laryngitis all the time or can he?
well i think Paul Mac has had a major influence on their new sound (weak sound). Maybe somthing has gone on behind closed doors because it seems to big of a musical direction change for it to be just progressive music. Young Modern sucked so bad
I don't know. he joined in such a long time ago now and he did spawn again with dan which is my fav song and I also like take her out off this dissociatives thing. I'd love to believe it's all paul mac but I have to tell you I actually think it's mostly daniel himself... I as well can't relate to 80% of YM (I e.g. like sleep all day) but yeah I think daniel once again did what he wanted to do and that's probably better than doing something others want him to... still, at times it can suck hard.
okay, my bad. Yeah radiohead's level is much different but I really appreciate incubus' reinventing with every album. and I can see their progress and maturity in every album they release..

raidiohead is the boringest band in the history of rock music, they suck balls! and incubus is a great band, and yes silverchair's new music blows! i love the first 3 albums though!
well to me incubus is a lot more boring than radiohead and even if it wasn't - there is no question who has more talent, regardless of what you or I prefer.
I feel Dan's pain here. I did a show with my band last year with laryngitis, fucking horrible. He doesn't sound too bad for it though.

july was the worst of the laryngitis. leno and the late late show were a few days before this and his voice was wrecked.
this has to be one of the hardest songs to do in that condition. stubborn boy.
