Even if it was possible for a person to play "without emotion", it wouldn't matter because it's only ever your reaction to the sound that you experience, not what they have put in to it.

Say what you want about Geoff's voice, but you can't deny that it's simply just powerful live. He sings with an emotion and raw intensity that few modern vocalists do in mainstream music. I personally love it because I think it matches the tone of their music perfectly, especially in this song. Also, you've got to love the Thursday guitar riffs, some of the most melodic and intricate guitar riffs in the Emo genre by far. Great stuff.
