  • I wish I was there :(

  • I swear they must put meth in their speakers because I am addicted to them

  • Goddamn, even with acoustic songs, they're so passionate.

    Thursday are awesome.

  • He has the most imperfect, yet perfect voice. He does what he does, perfect with emotion. Raw. Not all this jazz and stuff. It's pure. Heartfelt and beautiful.

  • 83,582 only?? i must keep going !

  • The part where they all go 'on and on and on' is amazing

  • This gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. Geoff has got to be one of the most talented and--from what I can tell--most passionate vocalists of all time. Watching the way he moves, and the way he sounds as he sings... it's as if he's giving it all the effort and emotion he has in that moment. I especially love the part from 3:03 till... I dunno, 3:42. This is such a well-composed song. I listen to these guys daily anymore and they always make me feel better about everything. ♥

  • 1:04-1:30 ffffffffffffffffffufufkisojhdfv

  • 4 Guys lost the war!

    i hate haters who agree

  • i had goosebumps from 0:00 to 5:12

  • @jiujitsu769 Helen Keller is that you? I didn't even know you were still alive. Comparing Thursday to Linkin Park and worse yet Nickleback is the dumbest thing anyone can do. Thursday actually has this thing called talent unlike those generic crap bands, they actually play with emotion and play more than the three same chords. They have this thing called emotion and care for music and you can tell by the way they play and by Geoff's lyrics. Music isn't about money or fame douchebag.

  • I love how he puts so much of himself into his performace. Not only does he connect to the music, but he draws the listener into it as well. This song has always gotten to me, but this really moved me. Just another reminder why I love this band so much.

  • i just wish this was taken in HD. man i miss this kind of stuff. these thursday acoustic sessions videos you uploaded, i couldnt stop watching them for over a year, but then i thought about thursday and just wow.

  • @jiujitsu769 Selling out a concert does not mean the band which does so is better than one who doesn't. If Thursday were constantly played on the radio and TV and had songs in movies and sold shelves full of their albums at major superstores they could easily be as big as those bands you mentioned. Selling out a concert has everything to do with the media and the way the band is marketed and very little to do with actually being good.

  • @jiujitsu769 Obvious troll is obvious. I mean, so very, very obvious.

  • thats it, hes not perfect and he know its but he sings his heart out. its awesome

  • U know wat guys, he's not THAT off key, esp.for a singer coming from hardcore roots, try getting up there and singing before u bash him, awesome band:)

  • i will not forget the days skateboarding the streets to the tunes of thursday

  • Best band ever.

  • 4:40-4:44 WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE ALL OF THE TIME

  • Why would he need singing lessions... ? His voice is what makes me love Thursday, along side the lyrics of their songs. This video is unreal, and I think it is amazing.

  • I used to have this version on my ipod.

  • q son fomes los gringos qls

todos los hijos de puta ahi sentados como hijos de puta q son xD

  • amazing

  • this is by far some of the most pure and raw thursday there is... they were such a great inspiration to me and everyone else that has heard them... these guys strike a pretty hard emotional chord.

    I LOVE YOU THURSDAY!!!

  • Thursday is incredible, they are genuine and meaningful, most bands cant say they are like this,THURSDAY=LOVE

  • this is unbelievable. geoff is amazing- thursday forever! dont fight about the scene police and genres....let music be music and forget everything else!

  • I saw them live!

  • why do comments on most Thursday vids collapse into debates about genre?

  • The acoustic collaboration is amazing, this song is an inspiration.

  • War all the time was a hard cd for the band. they left the label right after it. its thier most popular cd but it took a toll on them they were on very heavy demands from the label.

  • hai vocalist of the band,,, can you make some effort in order you to look sooo nice I mean dress like an emo or just something cool....

  • one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. fuck lady ga ga and all that other talentless shit. THIS is real music my friends

  • @AN1MOS1TY117 this thursday song is alot easier to write than any lady gaga song

  • @CyrkleTakesTheSquare you are musicially retarded. in no way shape or form, musically or lyrically does any gaga song come close in meaning, intricacy or complexity, or depth

  • @AN1MOS1TY117 Hell yeah man

  • @AN1MOS1TY117 amen.

  • wow, i'm actually close to tears right now...

  • The song that made Thursday my favorite band. I could listen to it a thousand times and never get tired of it.

  • amen, i remember it was the first song i've heard from them and then i was addicted.

  • i love how he sings from his heart

  • such a goooood song live ees got an awsom voice fair play like

  • post-hardcore get it right douchebag haha

  • thursday isnt post hardcore they are thursday, no other band sounds like them, if you find one show it to me. and quit talking shit, you listen to shity metal bands what do you know?

  • thursday is post hardcore you moron. andone of the only good post hardcore bands for that matter.

  • here we go faggots trying to label everything again... if anything they would be scremo... have you ever listened to hardcore? sounds nothing like thusday, no chugs, no two steps, stomps etc.

  • You insult people for giving a label, and then you call it screamo?

    Hypocrite?

    But it's a great song.

  • How about you just don't label it? Labels are for the corporations. Classification is capitalism. Genres are for those who can't think for themselves. Music is music no matter if it's the shittiest thing you've ever heard. Just think about this and let it sink in.

  • Thanks wikipedia

  • incredible

  • its great..

    are they were punk?or emo?

  • they are Thursday

  • he has the best voice

  • Comment removed

  • I absolulty love his voice,he doesent try and perfect it he gives what he feels, which music should be about not perfection

  • the song was great but the end did not sound right

  • i agree steven

  • o RLY

  • No words can express how amazing this song is :)

  • show me that you can do better

  • OK he's not perfect, but how can you say he's bad in this video? This is better than the actual studio version!

  • powerful... especially at 4:45

  • this song is still everlasting!!!!!!!!!!

  • i saw them in 2004 and it was the best thing i have ever expierenced.

    i was 11.

this band means so much to me

    im 15 now

and this band is still amazing

full collapse is the best thing that ever happened to humantity

    thursday=life

  • my story is the same!

  • where can i find the official video of war all the time?

  • bad grammar i ever saw

  • I thought the same thing xD

  • Best band ever.

  • 1st time listening to the grp.. i love it. Great job

  • try listening to the instrumental ver. too..i love both

  • Geoff is the greatest artist of ALL time.

  • He's my second fav next to Tim Mcilrath

  • Old Thursday forever! They helped so many kids grow up including me

  • definitely not as emotional as the original version...which is surprising.

  • Comment removed

  • 4:46 to end of song, cant tell me that isn't emotion.

  • It's impossible to make music without emotion, so it's a futile argument.

  • what do you call "whoop rico" and "soulja boy tell'em"?

  • Can you say that a sound wave contains emotion? It's my opinion that, no, they can't. A sound wave may evoke an emotion in you but that's not the same thing. The emotion is evoked in YOU meaning it is YOUR emotion and YOUR reaction to the sound. Even if it was possible for a person to play "without emotion", it wouldn't matter because it's only ever your reaction to the sound that you experience, not what they have put in to it.

  • If you have no emotional reaction to the piece of sound you're listening to, it's not because it has no emotion, it's because you don't associate any emotion with that sound.

  • thanks dr. freud.....

  • this song reminds me of me best friend seth who overdosed a few years back...takes me back to being in his basement listening to this song ...RIP, my friend

  • Its about growing up

  • Comment removed

  • this song was made around 200,so it cant be about 9-11 they are a ny based band....

  • I absolutely love this band.. but i honestly do not think that Geoff can sing well at all.. the emotion and the passion that's in their performances and lyrics is what makes the band .. beautiful song

  • most definitely

  • 2:41-2:50.....reference to how this economy is, and the trade center buildings?

  • Its Thursday thats the original singer why would it change i remember when i first heard this band back in the day and it was the most original sounding i have heard. i was listening to music like korn and this band changed my whole perception of music and to get rid of geoff is like not having a singer at all try to find a better vocalist for this kind of music which is not emo every piece of music has has emotion into it so everything is considerd emo? no this band is perfect the way they are.

  • god. this song gave me goosebumps

  • its crazy, every song thats really intense(batman begins soundtrack especially) will give me goosebumps for an hour.

  • the ending of it.

  • singers dotn have to be perfect, music isent designed to have perfection thats why it's music nothign controlled not so organized when you think about it really is just words and instruments but Thursday is better than that

  • Geoff's voice has never been perfect by any means, but it has always fit thursday 100%. Everyone wants to bag music these days because people don't have emotion into it, don't feel the music, don't play simply because they love it. He puts more into his vocals and their music than any band out now a days. Keep it up guys had me listening from the start, not stopping now.

  • agree 100 percent, good observation.

  • Say what you want about Geoff's voice, but you can't deny that it's simply just powerful live. He sings with an emotion and raw intensity that few modern vocalists do in mainstream music. I personally love it because I think it matches the tone of their music perfectly, especially in this song. Also, you've got to love the Thursday guitar riffs, some of the most melodic and intricate guitar riffs in the Emo genre by far. Great stuff.

  • i love his voice just because it is NOT perfect. i think that the content of the songs is therefore presented more authentic (is there this word in english?). and i'm very glad that thursday stick to their roots and do not become softer and therefore more attractive to the mainstream.

i also think, that his voice became more clear since then, but he hasn't lost his 'soul' and that's what i'm afraid of him taking lessons.

  • I agree. The vocals on A City By The Light Divided were a lot worse than on War All The Time in my opinion, despite Geoff taking lessons. But, he puts emotion back in on As He Climbed The Dark Mountain, the best song on the Split. But the vocals aren't very good on the newest song, Rescusitation Of A Dead Man. I know what you mean. I hope he puts some soul into Common Existence. Thursday's still an amazing band no matter what they do.

  • Geoff Rickly is what makes Thursday who they are. I'm sorry, but if you really think they need a new singer, than you need to open your eyes, because geoff fits in perfectly with them.

  • thursday are emo

    listen to the lyrics

i fucking love them, and hate most emo music, but the way that they've made this music so amazing is brilliant

how can you say that lyrics about his friends brother dieing arent emo??

listen to a song before you decide

  • I'm not trying to bash Thursday, because I love the band, but they could be SO much better if Geoff got some singing lessons.

Despite all the "emotion" he sings with, it's still not very well in tune.

It is possible to sing with the same intensity and sing with good intonation.

  • He actually has taken lessons since then.. he's gotten better.

  • @MusicFreak827 I disagree, actually. Part of the draw of Thursday for me is the imperfections in his voice- it's easier to hold onto.

  • @MusicFreak827 I disagree. Not that i support bad singing, but i love this effect his voice creates. sounds very "human" there was only one part that i think was too pitch-y.

  • hes very... emotional when he sings

  • Emo or not, it's just PERFECT.

    <3

  • go get some ears!

  • best voice around!

  • damn dey really good...

  • jersey has heartache and a good view

  • not bad. not bad at all...

  • i agree with thursdaycure.

geoff sings with emotions.. there aren't many bands which sing with real emotions.. they don't write their songs on their own and their songs don't go as deep as the thursday songs go.

and of course geoff is a really good songwriter!

  • i think geoff is a good singer. He sings much better then many other emo bands and other rock bands bands for that matter. I think at the beginning he wasn't good but over time he got better and now he is great.

  • emo band? i dont really see how.

  • Yes...Thursday are the number one Bands of the modern genre called: "Post Emo Indie Rock", or emo. Which doesn't mean, that they're all emos...its all music...

  • thursday isnt emo

  • nooooooooo...yes, they are...but the most important is, that its perfect!

  • Wow..I love this song and cd..Very amazing O_O!

  • Amazing... No words ^^

  • This is a very good band and geoff is a very brillant man and songwriter, I like thursday because they show true emotion and passion in their music,I would love to me geoff rickly someday he seems to be a very deep person.

  • also, not sure if anybody's gonna get this reference, but the ending reminds me of the most intense part of "the room's too cold, but you're so hot" by the early november... emotional almost to the point of tears. so good.

  • well, this band is actually quite good.

  • i like the acustic better

  • my god, that ending. <3

geoff ricklys emotion gets me every single time.

  • i think i'm becoming a fan..thanks for posting it

  • i REALLY love the part when the crowd sings "on and on and on and on"

  • this is so touching, its not even funny.

  • this song is absolutely amazing. so is thursday in general. and its only because of the amount balls in every song they write. cause in reality, this dudes voice totally sucks (he's just such a damn good writer) and all the riffs are drop d powerchords... but they use so much damn emotion in everything and you can tell all the songs are about stuff they really care about.

  • so true bro.

  • amen. geoff can't sing, but he is sucha brilliant songwriter and the emotion he puts into thursday's music; that's all this band has, and that's all they need really.

    love it.

  • Wow. It's so much better when you can tell that the music means so much to the band, and that is what you see here! Thursday are so amazing!

  • ive been obsessed with this song forever.

    amazing.

  • Excelente cancion

  • wasnt this in a split album with thrice and Thursday

  • nice one.

  • Goosebumps... all the time

    Love Geoff Rickley

  • beautifulllll xxxx

  • superb!!!!

  • This is really gorgeous acoustic.

I love Tom and Steve's playing <33 it's really quite intricate and beautiful. Also love how intense Geoff is with his singing all the time (no pun intended) :D

  • can some one put the chords of thursday acoustic on ultimate guitar pleazzz

    thank you

  • yea.. it's not a secret that he couldn't sing very well. but for a lot of reasons a lot of people accepted thursday the way they were. for the record, he can sing now

  • is there a reason that was in past tense?

  • Yeah, probably because he's better than you.

    Fuckawf.

  • yea i always liked his singing.. the imperfection is what makes it what it is.. cool track, havent heard this version

  • I love how Geoff never half-arses the vocals.

Usually the vocals in acoustic versions are easier to sing for the singer but he gives it everything.

    Look at those facials :')

  • this song one of thursdays most powerful.

as with ' at this velocity', they both blow you away but for differnet reasons

    please play england!

  • his voice is very good. it sounds a bit dry at times but it's a helluva lot better then most people i've heard

  • Probably because their better than 90% of musicians today.

  • I remember this, great.

  • to everyone who doesnt know where this was recorded:

at the apple store in NYC, the played with thrice to promote their spit ep.

  • There's something so honest and sincere about Geoff's voice, I love it.

Does anyone know where they are?

  • I believe at an Apple Store.

  • Its Iwerd The First Time Acoustic, But Its Still Remarkable Nontheless

  • he sounded like he has a phlegm. <3 this song so much, the lyrics blew me away. =[

  • Most amazing song ever. Best lyrics ever. People should take the time to really check out their lyrics.

  • iich Liebe den sonq *.* !

  • Everytime I hear this song I get chills.

    Acoustic or not..It's so beautiful.

    I love it.

    I love Thursday <3

  • He does not.. I think his voice is awesome.. At least he doesnt lip sync like pop, rap fags..

Seems like they are at a school or something for this performance..

  • geoff rickly has such a bad voice but hes so good anyway.

  • Amazing.. Thanks for uploading this!

  • Nice. Wouldn't expect this band to look and sound like this live O_o

  • you make no sense.

  • what the fuck do people post on youtube, jesus
