@lizazoon "Zero evidence for the exostence of Abraham" My point is at the traditional date when Abraham is suppose to have lived (2000-1900BC) various Semitic nomads known as Hapiru were going back & forth into Egypt just as the Bible says that is a fact of secular history. As to evidence for Abraham, there is often no evidence for much experienced by average lower classes during the Revolution or Civil War in history books that doesn't mean they didn't take place.
@Forysan -- Thutmoses interpretation to be Moses is just speculation.-- There is no evidence that israelites were ever enslaved in Egypt. Ascerting that the Hyksos are israelies, is again speculation. Raiding bans of Hapiru ? What has that to do with Israelites ?
@lizazoon I said both Thutmoses & Moses are of common Egyptian origin and from the right time period. Also, who said the Hyksos were Israelites? The point is they were Semites ruling in Egypt at the time of Joseph & their expulsion would justify the enslavement of any remaining Semites in a later Pharaoh's eyes. The term Hapiru refers to various nomadic Semites who entered Egypt around Abraham's time & would include the Israelites; Hapiru=Hebrew.
@lizazoon Also, it is a known fact that there were Near Eastern Asiatic slaves in Egypt throughout Egyptian history and specifically Hebrew graffiti in the copper mines of Sinai. Please read through all my recent posts thoroughly?
@lizazoon Again, the Egyptian term Hapiru & it's equivalents in other Neareastern languages is a blanket term for various Semitic Nomads (& it is generally accepted by both secular & religious scholars that it INCLUDES the Hebrews/Israelites) One doesn't have to be a linquistic rocket scientist to see the connection; Hapiru/Habiru=Hebrew.
@lizazoon What ever else was going on with other Semitic nomads of the day is irrelavent because in the minds of the Egyptians & their Canaanite subornates there was no distinction; A Hapiru was a Hapiru was a Hapiru. Just as to the Greco-Roman mind, a barbarian, was a barbarian, was a barbarian & to American Colinists, an Indian, was an Indian, was an Indian. Gee human nature doesn't change does it?
@lizazoon Lastly, the archeology layer from that period (1421B.C.) reveals massive destruction of several Canaanite cities including Jericho. Idols were defaced and smashed while gathered crops were left untouched. Note; the norm in the ancient world was to adapt the local cults and deities of enemies into your own pantheon not destroy them. Only the Israelites destroyed other's gods. This 1421B.C. layer matches perfectly with Joshua's conquest
@Forysan ; There is no evidence for the so called conquest campaign of Joshua in Canaan. Yes, the walls of Jericho have been found ans destruction has been found without any conclusive connection with the biblical conquest of Canaan. All the rest is pure speculation.
@lizazoon a destructive burn layer, destroyed idols, crops left untouched in 1421 B.C (c. 40 years after the traditional date of the Exodus), and pleas for help against raids by nomadic Semites doesn't sound like evidence of a conquest to you?
@Forysan : Science forum :Archaeology has established that the Exodus as presented in the Bible never happened, it is a Myth. Some of cities, towns and hamlets mentioned in the Pentateuchal narratives about the Exodus and Joshua's Conquest of Canaan have been attested as being either abandoned or not existing till much later times. The question remains, if archaeology has demonstrated the biblical account to be fictious, how did the exodus story originate ?
@lizazoon The Abandonment theory regarding cities etc. is based solely on the liberal pressumption that the Exodus and Conquest took place in the 1200s BC onward & no earlier. However, that is based on skant Biblical evidence & even less, if not noneexistent archeological evidence from that period. However, evidence abounds in the 1500-1400s BC backward for Pentateuchal events.
@lizazoon Sidenote; And Scientists have all the answers? Be serious; For most of human history it was presumed that Aristotle was right when he said the sun revolved around the earth. Meanwhile, prior to Eristostanes most people believed in a flat earth & after him they weren't certain of it's shape & or length. Just because an academic view is prevailing doesn't make it correct.
@Forysan :--Only the Israelites destroyed other's gods. Were did you get that nonsense ? Practically every conquerer destroyed the gods of the conquered, E.G. the Romans. Making a connection between the Habiru , Hapiru, and the Israelites is again pure speculation. It seems that they were bandits attacking the towns in Canaan.
@lizazoon That the Israelites were virtually the only nation who destroyed idols of other nations & that those other nations were at the very least tolerant of other gods prior to the conversion of Rome to "Christianity" & the rise of Islam is an accepted fact of secular history. Thus, the evidence for c.1421 BC stands regarding the conquest. The 40 years prior allows for a 1460's Exodus.
1.What has that to do with it? (facts are facts regardless of who presents them; most great finds in archeology have been found by amateurs, or less than savory adventurers & opportunists).
2.Ron Wyatt isn't the only one who came to these conclusions.
3.Ron Wyatt isn't among the two men who went to Saudi Arabia in this video.
4.Paul of Tarsus says Mount Sinain is in Arabia (Not the Sinai Penninsula.)
5. The evidence at Jabal Al Lawz speaks for itself.
Forysan 1- What nonsense. 2. Who are the others? 3. Who cares who went to Saudi Arabia. 4> Who cares what Paul of Tarsus said . 5. What evidence. NONE One needs only a grain of common sense to know that the exodus is a fairy tale.
@lizazoon Reformed Jews view the Bible & traditional beliefs as only their cultural/ethnic heritage. Conservative Jews generally believe in God, but don't take most of the Bible literally. Thus, they are biased against any evidence. Is this Rabbi Reformed, Conservative, Orthodox, or Ultra-Orthodox? That makes all the difference.
@Forysan It makes litle difference. He goes against the belief of the orthodox and ultra orthodox jews and he goes against the culture and tradition of other jews. Anyway he caused some consternation with his statement. He had nothing to gain, but much to loose. His statement doesn`t mean much to me,I do not think he is an archaeologist. But when one of the most renowned Jewish archaeologist Ze`ev Herzog makes a statement. that I believe.
@lizazoon That's just it, it makes all the difference because as I said if he's Reformed or Conservative he's most likely biased against any evidence even when it's right in front of him. Case in point; The Jesus seminar doesn't deny the fact that Jesus lived or the fundamental facts of His life & ministry. Yet they don't perceive Him to be God because they are liberally biased toward these claims regardless of evidence.
@lizazoon Going against the grain, & causing consternation with much to lose & nothing to gain; By that standard Timothy Mcvey would be a hero in the right even though he was a paranoid conspiracy wack job & hatemonger LOL
Seriously though, as you said he may not be an archeologist; though that is irrelevant if he is willing to honestly look at the evidence.
@lizazoon Furthermore, the Saudis have Jabal Al Lawz fenced off with barbed wire, armed guards & dogs, a Keep away sign in English & Arabic-Aside from signs at airports that is the only sign in both English & Arabic in that country-& have forbidden all archeological digs at the sight. What are they afraid will be found if western or Israeli archeologists are let in?
@Forysan I am listening my friend., and when I hear the Jews claiming they found proof of the Exodus, I might be inclined to believe. Even then I will ask, where are all the graves. 400.000 graves don`t disppear, not in the dry dessert sand.
@lizazoon Furthermore, it's not like Fundamentalist Islamic Saudi Arabia is going to get on a soapbox with a megaphone & announce "WE, THE HOLIEST SITE IN ALL ISLAM & THE POSTER CHILD FOR SHARIA LAW, HAVE THE HOLIEST SITE IN JUDAISM & THE SECOND HOLIEST IN CHRISTIANITY!" Imagine what Muslims would do if they did. The House of Saud is on thin ice with the Arab & Muslim world for their hypocitical decadency as is.
@Forysan That`s baloney my friend. Islam, as well as Judaism and Christianity are interested in the story of Moses. Prophet Moses appears in the quran( I might be wrong, but I don`t think so )
@lizazoon In regard to Jabal Al Lawz the off access condition of the mountain by the Saudis speaks for itself. Also, one would have to be blind not to see that they and the rest of the Muslim world have seriously unresolved issues-religiously & politically-with Israel. Islam doesn't regard the story as recorded in the Bible as the true version. Again what has them so afraid about letting anyone on this mountain?
@lizazoon the huge gap that exists today between Bedouins and Jews was almost nonexistant then. Furthermore both descend from Abraham who was descended from the nonAbrahamic Arabs of Saudi Arabia, who were descended from Shem. It makes sense that culturally and genetically the two would be indistinguishable more than 3,500 years ago. As to bodies do the words Jackals, wolves, lions, foxes, and bears mean anything to you?
Forysan My friend, a final comment. They have found bones from all passed cultures in the world, even millions of years old. But from the exodus(myth) NOTHING was found.
Semitic nomads known as Habiru & Hyksos were in Egypt as far back as 2,000-1900 BC; the Hyksos came to power and were expelled from Egypt 1400's-1500's BC; There were Israelite & other Semite slaves in Egypt around the same time; a few decades later Canaanite officials were begging their Egyptian overlords for aid from invading bands of Habiru marauders & that no help was sent; around this time idols in canaan were destroyed & supplies untouched.
Semitic nomads known as Israelites/Hebrews arrive in Egypt around the same time the Hyksos would be ruling there & eventually are enslaved for fear that they will join the native Egyptians' enemies. 430 years later they are expelled & arrive in Canaan 40 years later where they attack city after city, destroying idols without touching the supplies (Note; please see the historical facts I posted just prior to this. )
Forysan The Egyptologist Wilhelm Spielberg tells us that "what the Bible reports about the plight of Israel in Egypt isn't any more of a historical fact than the accounts of Egyptian history related by Herodotus.. anyway, it is clear that the research concerning the Pharaoh under whose rule Israel moved into Egypt and left it represents nothing but the juggling of names and dates void of all meaning".
As I said it depends on what era you look at. There is no evidence in the reigns of Ramsees I, Seti I, & Ramsees II. However, if you look at the history of Egypt in the 1500's-1400's B.C. you find evidence a plenty in Egypt & Canaan; The 430 period prior to this also allows for the time of slavery in Egypt & the amount of time that follows matches the chronology between the Exodus & Solomon. Read my recent post marked history. Those are the facts agreed upon by modern secular historians.
Forysan; The dry sand preserves everything. The w ind covers up and preserves and the same wind uncovers it centuries later. NOTHING was ever found. Exodus is bullshit.Comfirmed by leading archaeologists, rabbis etc. Those who made the film, made lots of money and try to maintain the myth
Moreover: 500.000 israelites(some say 2 million) roamed the desert for 40 years. The average lifespan at that time, was no longer than 45 years. 400.000 israelites must have died during that trip in the desert. Where are the graves? Where are the bones ? The desert sand preserves everything. None were found. Exodus is nonsense.
@lizazoon a final thought, keep in mind that the first year was spent in & around Mount Sinai (If Jabal Al Lawz is mount Sinai then there is an oasis with natural springs that still function nearby). The additional 39 years were spent in an oasis just east of the Jordan river. Also, at the time most of that area had more in common with lush areas of Morrocco than the deserts that developed later.
Here is an article from USA Today by Matthew Kalman
It comes from Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv Israel. It quotes Professor Ze'ev Herzog The many Egyptian documents known to us do not make any reference to the sojourn of the Children of Israel in Egypt or the Events of the Exodus.
Well the sources wouldn't would they? I mean the Egyptians are notorious for rewrites if not obliterating their own historicle records. Look at what happened after the death of Akenoten because of his Ra cult or Nefrittiti, a female pharaoh. Ramsees totally did a hatchet job on recording Kaddesh.
So Yeah, they're going to admit "The one god of our foreign slaves delivered them from us, defeating our many great gods."
"In Exodus we have an account of the manner in which Jehovah delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage. We now know that the Jews were never enslaved by the Egyptians; that the entire story is a fiction. We know this because there is not found in Hebrew a word of Egyptian origin and there is not found in the language of the Egyptians a word of Hebrew origin. So we know that the Hebrews and Egyptians could not have lived together." - Robert Ingersoll
Who said they lived together? Does the word slaverow mean anything to you? It depends on what era your looking in. To paraphrase Indiana Jones "They're digging in the wrong time and place." If you look for them in the era of Ramsese I-Ramsese II of course you won't find them. But if you go back far earlier to the late 1400-1500 B.C. you'll find plenty of evidence. Check out the documentary "Exodus Decoded." I don't agree with all their conclusions but most of it lines up with Exodus.
Forysan Sorry man, I do prefer to rely on people who know what they are talking about. A Rabbi, knows about the scriptures. One of the most famous archaeologist Herzog, prof. at Tel Aviv univ. You can`t find better sources.
On Passover last Sunday, Rabbi David Wolpe raised that provocative question before 2,200 faithful at Sinai Temple in Westwood. He minced no words. "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all," Wolpe told his congregants
Sinai and Moses pbuh is muslims prophet nobody other can say we love and follow Moses,CHRISTIANS dont follow moses law like pork, adultry, gambling, blood etc forbiden in moses book and jews left moses alone in sinai Moses is muslims prophets,May almighty merci be upon moses and jesus and all prophets,
To anyone who says this is fake, they state at the beginning of the movie that many of the scenes are recreated for dramatic effect, which makes sense since you don't want to be a bunch of white guys running around in Arabia with a huge camera crew, especially after entering illegally into the country. There are tons of shots that are legitimate video footage from the location. Yeah, the soldier shot was probably re-enacted, but it doesn't change the fact that these two guys were actually there.
I watched this documentary, and it was so overwhelming it made me cry. Every single thing in the bible that would prove that the location is really that of Mt Sinai, was found. What more proof do you need? At least proof to show that the bible is historical.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Please tell me that no one actually believes this bullshit. Ooo, a mountain with a fence around it, that must be it, or it could just be private property. The bible is folklore when is the world going to wake up!!!
This is one of the biggest re-discoveries in the 20th century. It should be in every history textbook. This is a great video series that when once posted on YouTube put atheists into contrivance mode to explain away the overwhelming evidence.
@dingorex This is one of the biggest hoaxes of the 21th century. There is NO evidence NONE. The BAS(Biblical archaeological Society) in an email dated Januari 2010 stated... there is no evidence yet for the exodus--. Period.
@lizazoon Their lack of research at this site is proof they haven't looked hard enough for evidence. I don't look to "expert" Bible bashers for my evidence.
@dingorex-- I don't look to "expert" Bible bashers for my evidence.-- What(in your biased mind) you call bible bashers is the most reliable christian organisation as far ar biblical archaeology is concerned. But of course you rely for your evidence on a book written 3.000 years, ago by ignorant goat-herders
@dingorex Quote from The JEWISH POST:,È About the Exodus, We basically have one account-the Torah's. When it comes to the historical analysis of the Exodus, we have only one account, and asserting the historical validity of an event that took place 3500 years ago on the basis of a single account does not put you on very solid historical footing.
The Exodus is not about history; it is about faith. If we could "prove" it, we would not need to have faith in it..-- End of quote
@lizazoon "If we could prove it, we would not need to have faith in it." Thats like saying because I know my spouse loves me there's no need for physical proof or conversly, If my spouse loves me they need to say it all the time otherwise I don't know. But the fact is that just because they don't constantly verbalize that they love me doesn't mean they don't. That said, love is not what you say or feel but what you do. It's not an either/or, it's a both/and situation
@Forysan Actions speak louder than words. And Our Father loves us so much that He does not expect us to simply 'have faith' but commands us to test everything and come to our own conclusions. Luckily He makes it very difficult to disprove these things. Still, some are so blind in their arrogance!
What are those errors?

@lizazoon "Zero evidence for the exostence of Abraham" My point is at the traditional date when Abraham is suppose to have lived (2000-1900BC) various Semitic nomads known as Hapiru were going back & forth into Egypt just as the Bible says that is a fact of secular history. As to evidence for Abraham, there is often no evidence for much experienced by average lower classes during the Revolution or Civil War in history books that doesn't mean they didn't take place.
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan -- Thutmoses interpretation to be Moses is just speculation.-- There is no evidence that israelites were ever enslaved in Egypt. Ascerting that the Hyksos are israelies, is again speculation. Raiding bans of Hapiru ? What has that to do with Israelites ?
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon I said both Thutmoses & Moses are of common Egyptian origin and from the right time period. Also, who said the Hyksos were Israelites? The point is they were Semites ruling in Egypt at the time of Joseph & their expulsion would justify the enslavement of any remaining Semites in a later Pharaoh's eyes. The term Hapiru refers to various nomadic Semites who entered Egypt around Abraham's time & would include the Israelites; Hapiru=Hebrew.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon Also, it is a known fact that there were Near Eastern Asiatic slaves in Egypt throughout Egyptian history and specifically Hebrew graffiti in the copper mines of Sinai. Please read through all my recent posts thoroughly?
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon Sidenote; in the Bible The Israelites called themselves Israelites.
None-Israelites called them Hebrews.
In history the Semitic nomads were called Hapiru by None-Semites.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon Again, the Egyptian term Hapiru & it's equivalents in other Neareastern languages is a blanket term for various Semitic Nomads (& it is generally accepted by both secular & religious scholars that it INCLUDES the Hebrews/Israelites) One doesn't have to be a linquistic rocket scientist to see the connection; Hapiru/Habiru=Hebrew.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon What ever else was going on with other Semitic nomads of the day is irrelavent because in the minds of the Egyptians & their Canaanite subornates there was no distinction; A Hapiru was a Hapiru was a Hapiru. Just as to the Greco-Roman mind, a barbarian, was a barbarian, was a barbarian & to American Colinists, an Indian, was an Indian, was an Indian. Gee human nature doesn't change does it?
Forysan 1 year ago
There is NO evidence for the existence of Moses, None.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon Lastly, the archeology layer from that period (1421B.C.) reveals massive destruction of several Canaanite cities including Jericho. Idols were defaced and smashed while gathered crops were left untouched. Note; the norm in the ancient world was to adapt the local cults and deities of enemies into your own pantheon not destroy them. Only the Israelites destroyed other's gods. This 1421B.C. layer matches perfectly with Joshua's conquest
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan ; There is no evidence for the so called conquest campaign of Joshua in Canaan. Yes, the walls of Jericho have been found ans destruction has been found without any conclusive connection with the biblical conquest of Canaan. All the rest is pure speculation.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon a destructive burn layer, destroyed idols, crops left untouched in 1421 B.C (c. 40 years after the traditional date of the Exodus), and pleas for help against raids by nomadic Semites doesn't sound like evidence of a conquest to you?
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan : Science forum :Archaeology has established that the Exodus as presented in the Bible never happened, it is a Myth. Some of cities, towns and hamlets mentioned in the Pentateuchal narratives about the Exodus and Joshua's Conquest of Canaan have been attested as being either abandoned or not existing till much later times. The question remains, if archaeology has demonstrated the biblical account to be fictious, how did the exodus story originate ?
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon The Abandonment theory regarding cities etc. is based solely on the liberal pressumption that the Exodus and Conquest took place in the 1200s BC onward & no earlier. However, that is based on skant Biblical evidence & even less, if not noneexistent archeological evidence from that period. However, evidence abounds in the 1500-1400s BC backward for Pentateuchal events.
Forysan 1 year ago

It seems that they were bandits attacking the towns in Canaan.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon That the Israelites were virtually the only nation who destroyed idols of other nations & that those other nations were at the very least tolerant of other gods prior to the conversion of Rome to "Christianity" & the rise of Islam is an accepted fact of secular history. Thus, the evidence for c.1421 BC stands regarding the conquest. The 40 years prior allows for a 1460's Exodus.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon
1.Names like Thutmoses, Ahmose and the name Moses are of common Egyptian origin (First 2 are 1460s BC; The traditional date of the Exodus).
2.The Semitic Hapiru/Habiru were in Egypt as far back as 2,000-1900 BC; The time of Abraham.
3.The Hyksos were ruling in Egypt during the time of Joseph.
4.In the Amarna Letters (written soon after 1421BC) Canaanite officials begged Egypt for help against bands of Hapiru. None was sent.

lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon
Forysan 1 year ago
Forysan 1- What nonsense. 2. Who are the others? 3. Who cares who went to Saudi Arabia. 4> Who cares what Paul of Tarsus said . 5. What evidence. NONE One needs only a grain of common sense to know that the exodus is a fairy tale.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon
1 is a fact of history
2. The men in this video for one-You'll have to rent or buy it & see it for yourself-
3. The men in this video (Thus they saw the evidence).
4. That means it's not in the Sinai penninsula (which was Egyptian territory at the time of the Exodus)
5. Watch the documentary. Jabal Al Lawz meets all Biblical requirements.
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan Read the expert opinion below. Rabbi and archaeologist. Thank you. The exodus is nonsense. IMPOSSIBLE nonsense.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon Reformed Jews view the Bible & traditional beliefs as only their cultural/ethnic heritage. Conservative Jews generally believe in God, but don't take most of the Bible literally. Thus, they are biased against any evidence. Is this Rabbi Reformed, Conservative, Orthodox, or Ultra-Orthodox? That makes all the difference.
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan It makes litle difference. He goes against the belief of the orthodox and ultra orthodox jews and he goes against the culture and tradition of other jews. Anyway he caused some consternation with his statement. He had nothing to gain, but much to loose. His statement doesn`t mean much to me,I do not think he is an archaeologist. But when one of the most renowned Jewish archaeologist Ze`ev Herzog makes a statement. that I believe.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon That's just it, it makes all the difference because as I said if he's Reformed or Conservative he's most likely biased against any evidence even when it's right in front of him. Case in point; The Jesus seminar doesn't deny the fact that Jesus lived or the fundamental facts of His life & ministry. Yet they don't perceive Him to be God because they are liberally biased toward these claims regardless of evidence.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon Going against the grain, & causing consternation with much to lose & nothing to gain; By that standard Timothy Mcvey would be a hero in the right even though he was a paranoid conspiracy wack job & hatemonger LOL
Seriously though, as you said he may not be an archeologist; though that is irrelevant if he is willing to honestly look at the evidence.
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon Furthermore, the Saudis have Jabal Al Lawz fenced off with barbed wire, armed guards & dogs, a Keep away sign in English & Arabic-Aside from signs at airports that is the only sign in both English & Arabic in that country-& have forbidden all archeological digs at the sight. What are they afraid will be found if western or Israeli archeologists are let in?
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon the fact is in Jabal Al Lawz yo have the following;
A nonvolcanic mountain burnt to a crisp at the top
boundery stones
two altars (one with Egyptian Cattle charactured on it)
A pronounced split rock with a basin like valley washed smooth by water (& near that rock a spot at the base of the mount burnt to a crisp)
A campsite at the backside of the mountain
A cave
A cleft in the rock atop the mount
Egyptian style tombs indicating Jethro & Zipporah were barried there.

@Forysan I am listening my friend., and when I hear the Jews claiming they found proof of the Exodus, I might be inclined to believe. Even then I will ask, where are all the graves. 400.000 graves don`t disppear, not in the dry dessert sand.
lizazoon 1 year ago
Forysan 1 year ago
Forysan: Mount Sinai is irrelevant. The exodus is childish nonsense. There is not even evidence for Moses.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@Forysan That`s baloney my friend. Islam, as well as Judaism and Christianity are interested in the story of Moses. Prophet Moses appears in the quran( I might be wrong, but I don`t think so )
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon you should read the quran ,, you will find the real story of Prophet Moses
hobhot 1 year ago
@hobhot The quran is as irrelevant as any other religious books.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon In regard to Jabal Al Lawz the off access condition of the mountain by the Saudis speaks for itself. Also, one would have to be blind not to see that they and the rest of the Muslim world have seriously unresolved issues-religiously & politically-with Israel. Islam doesn't regard the story as recorded in the Bible as the true version. Again what has them so afraid about letting anyone on this mountain?
Forysan 1 year ago
@lizazoon if one traces the route backward from Jabal Al Lawz to the Gulf of Aquaba or visa versa there are the following;
An oasis of palm trees with seven springs
Naturally bitter springs
A landbridge across the Gulf of Aquaba
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan : And what has been found in those oasis ? Nothing but traces off Bedouin occupation. Where are those minimum400,000 graves . Tell me .
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon the huge gap that exists today between Bedouins and Jews was almost nonexistant then. Furthermore both descend from Abraham who was descended from the nonAbrahamic Arabs of Saudi Arabia, who were descended from Shem. It makes sense that culturally and genetically the two would be indistinguishable more than 3,500 years ago. As to bodies do the words Jackals, wolves, lions, foxes, and bears mean anything to you?
Forysan 1 year ago
Forysan My friend, a final comment. They have found bones from all passed cultures in the world, even millions of years old. But from the exodus(myth) NOTHING was found.
lizazoon 1 year ago
History
Semitic nomads known as Habiru & Hyksos were in Egypt as far back as 2,000-1900 BC; the Hyksos came to power and were expelled from Egypt 1400's-1500's BC; There were Israelite & other Semite slaves in Egypt around the same time; a few decades later Canaanite officials were begging their Egyptian overlords for aid from invading bands of Habiru marauders & that no help was sent; around this time idols in canaan were destroyed & supplies untouched.
Forysan 1 year ago
Scripture
Semitic nomads known as Israelites/Hebrews arrive in Egypt around the same time the Hyksos would be ruling there & eventually are enslaved for fear that they will join the native Egyptians' enemies. 430 years later they are expelled & arrive in Canaan 40 years later where they attack city after city, destroying idols without touching the supplies (Note; please see the historical facts I posted just prior to this. )
Forysan 1 year ago
Forysan The Egyptologist Wilhelm Spielberg tells us that "what the Bible reports about the plight of Israel in Egypt isn't any more of a historical fact than the accounts of Egyptian history related by Herodotus.. anyway, it is clear that the research concerning the Pharaoh under whose rule Israel moved into Egypt and left it represents nothing but the juggling of names and dates void of all meaning".
lizazoon 1 year ago
As I said it depends on what era you look at. There is no evidence in the reigns of Ramsees I, Seti I, & Ramsees II. However, if you look at the history of Egypt in the 1500's-1400's B.C. you find evidence a plenty in Egypt & Canaan; The 430 period prior to this also allows for the time of slavery in Egypt & the amount of time that follows matches the chronology between the Exodus & Solomon. Read my recent post marked history. Those are the facts agreed upon by modern secular historians.
Forysan 1 year ago
Forysan; The dry sand preserves everything. The w ind covers up and preserves and the same wind uncovers it centuries later. NOTHING was ever found. Exodus is bullshit.Comfirmed by leading archaeologists, rabbis etc. Those who made the film, made lots of money and try to maintain the myth
lizazoon 1 year ago
See my post about how Egypt had a tendancy to rewrite or obliterate its own history. A fact no secular historian denies.
Forysan 1 year ago
Moreover: 500.000 israelites(some say 2 million) roamed the desert for 40 years. The average lifespan at that time, was no longer than 45 years. 400.000 israelites must have died during that trip in the desert. Where are the graves? Where are the bones ? The desert sand preserves everything. None were found. Exodus is nonsense.
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon a final thought, keep in mind that the first year was spent in & around Mount Sinai (If Jabal Al Lawz is mount Sinai then there is an oasis with natural springs that still function nearby). The additional 39 years were spent in an oasis just east of the Jordan river. Also, at the time most of that area had more in common with lush areas of Morrocco than the deserts that developed later.

Here is an article from USA Today by Matthew Kalman
It comes from Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv Israel. It quotes Professor Ze'ev Herzog The many Egyptian documents known to us do not make any reference to the sojourn of the Children of Israel in Egypt or the Events of the Exodus.
lizazoon 1 year ago
Well the sources wouldn't would they? I mean the Egyptians are notorious for rewrites if not obliterating their own historicle records. Look at what happened after the death of Akenoten because of his Ra cult or Nefrittiti, a female pharaoh. Ramsees totally did a hatchet job on recording Kaddesh.
So Yeah, they're going to admit "The one god of our foreign slaves delivered them from us, defeating our many great gods."
Forysan 1 year ago
"In Exodus we have an account of the manner in which Jehovah delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage. We now know that the Jews were never enslaved by the Egyptians; that the entire story is a fiction. We know this because there is not found in Hebrew a word of Egyptian origin and there is not found in the language of the Egyptians a word of Hebrew origin. So we know that the Hebrews and Egyptians could not have lived together." - Robert Ingersoll
lizazoon 1 year ago
Who said they lived together? Does the word slaverow mean anything to you? It depends on what era your looking in. To paraphrase Indiana Jones "They're digging in the wrong time and place." If you look for them in the era of Ramsese I-Ramsese II of course you won't find them. But if you go back far earlier to the late 1400-1500 B.C. you'll find plenty of evidence. Check out the documentary "Exodus Decoded." I don't agree with all their conclusions but most of it lines up with Exodus.
Forysan 1 year ago

@dingorex-- I don't look to "expert" Bible bashers for my evidence.-- What(in your biased mind) you call bible bashers is the most reliable christian organisation as far ar biblical archaeology is concerned. But of course you rely for your evidence on a book written 3.000 years, ago by ignorant goat-herders
lizazoon 1 year ago
@dingorex Quote from The JEWISH POST:,È About the Exodus, We basically have one account-the Torah's. When it comes to the historical analysis of the Exodus, we have only one account, and asserting the historical validity of an event that took place 3500 years ago on the basis of a single account does not put you on very solid historical footing.
The Exodus is not about history; it is about faith. If we could "prove" it, we would not need to have faith in it..-- End of quote
lizazoon 1 year ago
@lizazoon "If we could prove it, we would not need to have faith in it." Thats like saying because I know my spouse loves me there's no need for physical proof or conversly, If my spouse loves me they need to say it all the time otherwise I don't know. But the fact is that just because they don't constantly verbalize that they love me doesn't mean they don't. That said, love is not what you say or feel but what you do. It's not an either/or, it's a both/and situation
Forysan 1 year ago
@Forysan Actions speak louder than words. And Our Father loves us so much that He does not expect us to simply 'have faith' but commands us to test everything and come to our own conclusions. Luckily He makes it very difficult to disprove these things. Still, some are so blind in their arrogance!
