Not really a hill! all the 'downhillers' / 'jumpers' couldn't even get off the ground at the same point, i wellied it and crashed, 1st time was way better! Suppose i am more xc but it was worth it.

Went back yesterday and rode the cousre on a 29er singlespeed. no crashes this time.

Hey m8 hav u seen wot happens when DHers go uphill, i cant tlk coz i am 1 , u godda a point but it doesnt apply in this case. Loadsa accidents happen when xc guys go on routes that are to difficult for themeselves or their bikes with 100mm travel.
