  • @kanfuziy Thanks! And yeah, I know the current physics are a bit superhuman. I'm mentally preparing for another big physics overhaul that will fix some of the issues I've been having. Be aware though, no matter how much I try (not even if I get a bunch of degrees in actual physics), I'll never get it to be truly realistic. But nor would I want it to be! This is a game about wingsuit flying, not wingsuit flying. :)

  • Will you be adding a flight computer so we can know our descent/gliding ratio? it would be very useful to know when are you going to stall.

  • @UnconventionalDice Yep, I'll be adding a bunch of real-time statistical tools that you can turn on and off at will.

  • @Serialtinus on a second thought on instrumentation,gliders use an audio instrument called variometer for optimal performance without looking at instruments.

    A wingsuit naturally impedes the jumper to reach for his wrist to check flight computers, so the next best thing would be this instrument whose beeping frequency is inversely proportional to the gliding ratio. Max for pure vertical drop and minimum for the suit teoretical best gliding ratio.It will also alert for canopy deployment altitude.

  • I love this!!!!!!! I have grown tired of B.A.S.E., the only interesting part for the troll jump can't be reached, you just see it past you...no trees to fly over, no interesting landscapes to see...I'm just making time until you release it for sale ^_^

  • @fantastichumore Yep, Unity engine. Hard? That all depends on how much you already know. I didn't know much about physics, aerodynamics, 3d math, wingsuits, or game programming when I started this project, and it took me about 2 years of intense trial and error to get this far. And the game isn't anywhere near finished either, ack! But worth it? YES! A hundred times yes.

  • @SuperGamespawn Wingman is still a temporary character until I become smart enough to be able to put in a better character skin. He'll probably always be a hidden easter egg, though. :)

  • i know the top left reports realistic ratio of flight but it seems hes flying so horizontal, can we get some good pics of the mountain, is it just so steep its an illusion or something?

  • @JosephMorganFPS This is an optical illusion, yeah (although wingman currently does have superhuman strength). I'm uploading a video right now that is a bit longer and shows you more of the mountain, hope that helps.

  • The depth of field really does make a huge difference to the outlying terrain. Before it looked like a huge box with terrain in it, now it's becoming a world of it's own.

  • @gigga97 Yeah bout time for a demo. I say just release as it is, doesnt matter if you just pop in and hit the ground without parachute. Its fine.
