  • Those shoes look soo pretty on you! And once they were broken in a bit and the box got a little softer, I'm sure they looked amazingggg.

  • What's the difference between russian pointes and regular pointes?

  • @xdancephiliacx russian pointe is just a brand.... its like saying what's the difference between macy's and sears? russians pointe, bloch, grisko;s, capezio, gaynor minden all different brands of pointe shoes [just to name a few]

  • I love how the dog disappears instantly when he sees she's doing ballet :-)

  • The Russians make your feet look very stalk-y and short, i like the Bloch's better. Obviously you don't have elastics or ribbons on, but they look like they aren't supporting your arches very well.

  • I think the russian pointe shoes look kind of small on you

  • @tatycarrera - Better for pointe shoes to be too small than too big. I've noticed in several en pointe hom vids that girls are frequently wearing shoes that are too big/vamp is too high/shank is too long...

  • Hey: Your feet r beautiful, but I think u should get a shoe with a higher side, cuz your arch is showing. (I had the same problem 2). But you probably don't need advice, cuz this was in 2009 LOL! XD anyways, hve fun in your pointes! :)

  • They look beautiful

  • u should really try suffolk spotlights they will look really good on your feet

  • they look much better on your feet than the blochs. lovely feet!

  • i think u need to improve ur turnout a little more.

  • The Russian Pointes are sooo beautiful! They give the fee such a gorgous curve!

  • im getting my pointe shoes tomorrow! im sooo excited! any tips?

  • @TaylorSwiftFan1319 How did it go?

  • You stepped up!!

    But nice video anyway.

And i was wondering, a girl at my school has Russian pointes and they look practically white when she wears them. Other have russian pointe and they are pinker then any thing! What color are yours?

  • Russian Pointes are kinda weird looking....

  • And i want to ask something else!! Why in the first pointe ,the first time we do the workout we dont put ribbons???

  • Nice pointe ..... which is your ballet school?

  • 0:15

Dog: Hey! Whatcha do... O shoot you're recording! My bad!

  • try gaynor...

  • you rock the bloch's but i think you have the same problem as i do they are just so dang hard i can not mount my box in second position releve because i they are so hard, the vamp is right, the shank has to be hard because my feet are not extremely strong, they are pretty strong though but my feet have a natural arch which have gotten even higher since ballet.. good luck. also snatch onto pointe but don't jump it must be controlled, take care of yourself you are amazing! love the pooch too

  • I think the Russian Points looked better. But the Blochs looked fine too! :))

  • HAHHAHAHA random dog walking past :P ...

and yes i agree the blochs do seem to give u more shape

  • Very graceful! In my opinion, I think the Blochs give your feet more shape and support, but just remember that working throught your shoes will build strength, not just stepping onto it :)

  • i dont like bloch it is to........ fat it isnt normal

  • I love how your pup came into the room, saw what you were doing and ran out. Smart dog :)

  • Lol at the comments. Of course they aren't going to fit her exactly. They're BRAND SPANKIN' NEW. (Well, in the video. x3)

  • those russian pointes look tight on ur feet

  • I think you need to turn out more. but nice job

  • i like bloch more but they do look nicee

  • They look like they're holding you back.

  • hun- you need to make sure that you roll down through ur feet, its very dangerous if you dont..

  • Could someone take a look at my vid ? I just got russian Lumina's and i'd like some advice :-)

  • i'm taking ballet classes en pointe for about 3 years now...we are doing RAD...now I have Bloch Serenades, should I try Russian pointe shoes?

  • @MsBonata I've had serenades and been on pointe for a while they do have stronger shoes after those with double shanks and extra satin. But really it is your choice

  • i'm taking ballet classes en pointe for about 3 years now...we are doing RAD...should I try Russian?

  • watch your fifth positions, the echappes in the begining, would close to a "different" fifth each time, meaning some times you would come down into a 3rd and some times overcrossed so watch that you always land in your fifith position

  • the blochs didn't work very well for you unless they were just dead cuz sometimes you just didn't get on your block enough and I have russians and i like them a lot better then the bloch for you is my opinion.

  • Why do the Russian Pointes look so uncomfortable but people tend to like them a lot more?

  • the russian pointe shoes look hot on u

  • YOU MAKE THE SHOES LOOK UGLY,I'am sorry

  • They look to small, I personally prefer Bloch on you and i like them better on myself to

  • whats the diffrence between blocks and russain pointes

  • they look small but very good

  • I believe they look nice on ur feet. I also used to use Bloch and Im about to switch to Russian. I don't have then yet though b/c the ballet store that I went to didn't have my size b/c I have a weird size foot and they had to order my size. But they should b coming in any time now so i'll get them soon. :)

  • the new ones look to small for your feet and you don't look very comfortable

  • And there goes 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back

  • Your feet are gorgeous! I want them!

  • I love the doggy!!!!

  • You look great in the russians!

  • I had these shoes before and breaking in the shank and everything was super hard!!!

  • There kinda loud

  • are u on ur box???????????????

  • Hey :) :) I am starting pointe in september and I have no idea which shoes are best for beginners... Help!

  • @shankydancelove im not sure which would be best for you, you need to get fitted properly and see which shoe you feel is right on you! my first pointe shoes were Bloch Serenades and i have had two pairs of these and i still cant get right over the box as they are very hard to break in so i recommend you do not go for these as a first time. :)

  • Amei amei amei

  • those shoes look nice on you!

  • DOG

  • have you tried bloch aspiration? i was reccamended those. i had russion pointe and i felt like they hurt way more than my other and i cant choose wich padding i should wear? what padding did you wear for your bloch?

  • Aw your dog. :D

  • What sort of price range do pointe shoes run at i'm going to get my first pair ever tomorrow and i am very exited but i was just wondering around about how much i should expect them to cost...price in pounds if possible thank you :)

  • Yeah I was gonna say, those Russian Pointe look a little small for u!!! :) it's good u realized they were too small or u couldve done damage to ur feet! They look pretty tho

  • I had Bloch for my first point shoes and they sucked. I have really strong feet so it only took me 2 month to break them. I love Russian Pointe so much better. They last so much longer.

  • ...so... ..... ... SHINYY!! :D

  • Where can I buy Russian Pointes online?

  • hey I wanna buy Bloch pointe shoes... are they good...

  • Those are some gorgeous Pointe shoes!

  • I loove ballet and point shoes! Wish I could just hold a pair of them in my hands!!

  • Haha, I love how the dog walked in, took one look, and scampered away.

  • Gaynor Minden!!!!! = the best!......for me...

  • I definetly think the russians looked better on your feet! Keep dancing ;)

  • love the random dog.... :)

  • your feet look squished in the RP

  • thumbs up for the dog :)

  • My opinion: I think the Bloch ones look better.

  • @4everhogwarts agree

  • I got thoses yesterday and they were kinda painful? And mine were really pink for russian pointes. How long did they take to break in?

  • ooohh they look nicer than your bloch serenades

  • I just got Russian yesterday! Just don't go up en pointe by yourself! I just dont want you to injure your ankles like me! I rolled way to much and have to wear inserts!

  • o love your dog!!!! :PP

  • I just got these!! i hope i like them! i had bloch b morphs! does these die fast????? i hope not

  • u must look so amazing when u have a recital or a performance!great choice of style 2 =)

  • @MsChocoholic59 high five for the iPads! The spell check can get really annoying sometimes XD xxx

  • You need to stretch your arch some more... heading the right way and don't give up.

  • they look to small for u

  • the look rlly good, i had bloch and then russian and now i have grishkos :)

  • iv always hated Bloch Serenade hooray for Russian Pointes !! : )

  • How do the Russian Points work? Are they good? I have bloche shoes and they are so old and worn out, i need a new pair, but dont know what kind to get.

  • wtf no1 gives a shit

  • theyre beautiful =]

  • heyy i have those same ones(:

  • Sonja or whatever your name is they are big companies that make pointe shoes. They have different designs and specifications.

  • Sorry my iPad keeps changing the words for me I meant suprima

  • Sorry I meant dulcimer

  • Much prettier than my Bloch supremos

  • dog keeps appearing from nowhere:P

  • Russian Pointe apperantly are the best shoes to have because they are PROPERLY fitted and are comfy. Bloch...XXX NOOO WAY!!!

  • Where are the differences between bloch and russian pointe? (I'm not a ballet dancer..)

  • I can tell their brand-new as they make a lot of noise, a lot of thumping...

Do you think it says a lot that you have to demolish them--rip up the soles, break them, flatten them, burn them... to customize them?

They look "magnifique" when they first come out of the box. Once they're "tailored" to dance, they look like they're ready to be chucked into the goddammned trash. And the pros use about several hundred pairs a week. Still...

--All For The Magic of Ballet, Dane Youssef

  • wow very strong ankles...

  • and btw they look very nice on u(: and u have lovley arches;)

  • i have bloch "aspirations" but i feel like theyre too small.... my feet tend to go numb wile doing pointe work and i feel that they kinda slightly squish my toes together..... is this normal?

  • its really NOT RUSSIAN !! its normal pointes.!

  • i have a question... i have Bloch Sonata's now but for my next pair i was thinking about getting russian pointe. (If my dance teacher lets me get Russian Pointe) would you rather recommend Russian Pointe than Bloch? or any other type?

  • 0:15 makes me happy (:

  • they look waaaaay too small, i can see u have a good arch, but the small russians makes it look terrible!! sorry if you take that to offence

  • You have ugly arches and those shoes make them more noticable

  • lol your dog is like "I dance too" and i like the russiad better on ur feet

  • lol your dog is like "I dance too"

  • I have a couple questions.

Do russian pointes last long and stay hard? Do they fit good? and how to you know what size to order without being able to try them on? I need russians because I have heard they are the hardest shoe and I have really strong feet my teachers say. If you could help me, that would be amazing! :)

p.s- you have really good feet!

  • I'm 16 and this is my first year of ballet, I just got on pointe two months ago. Im having a hard time getting over the box im almost there, also whenim on pointe a bone on the side of my foot sticks out and it makes it look like im sickling and it's not pretty at alol lol. So what shoe I should get, I also have wide feet with a low arch and a really big toe and then the others are really small.

  • Constructive comment :D : roll through demi-pointe when you go en pointe. You just go en pointe, it's not right. haha

  • ur dog is all like "HEY U BUSSY, OH SHIT NEVER MIND"

  • May I suggest trying Grishko.

  • perfect fit who ever did that is my match hahaha

  • they are perfect for your feet, when u break them in they will be stunning. and to the people who are saying they are way too small, russian brands like this or grishko like them fitted more snug than for example bloch shoes. it alos depends on what your ballet school thinks is best

  • the dog was like "Oh fuck, not again"

  • Nice! I just ordered a pair of Russian Pointe shoes yesterday and I love how they feel.

  • Russians are great for making you work inthe instep/arch instead of close to your heel or toes! It feels so great and confident!

  • they look great on u!

  • The Russians are much prettier on you than the Blochs:) Very nice. Love love love your feet, they're very pretty.

  • lol your legs are freaking out without ribbons and elastics. beautiful arches and ankles though!

  • Once you're up on pointe in your new Russians they look gorgeous....but flat they look small. I love how the serenades looked on your feet.

  • i think bloch is better then russian pointe

  • beatiful dog ^^

  • You were a little bouncy at first lol :) maybe try and be smoother. I had Russian Pointe's, I didn't like them very much though lol. I have Freeds now! They form to your foot better, unlike other shoes that make your feet form to the shoe!

  • What shoes are you wearing now?

  • You look very pretty in Russians. I have only ever danced in bloch though. How was the transfer? Did you find them easier to dance in. How easy did the shank break in?

  • u have great feet for dancin en pointe ur lucky

  • jajaja the doggg

  • you should stick 2 russian pointe! u get over the box alot more than bloch

  • They look beautiful! You have such a wonderful point.

  • To all of you out there, how many of you actually like bloch? My teacher makes us all get some kind of bloch so we all match, and it's my first pair, so I don't know my shoes or feet well enough to know if I'm not getting over the box because I'm a beginner, or they're not right. I have Bloch axioms, size 6, but I'm sure if they weren't right for my feet my teacher would compromise. Any advice welcome.

  • @DevilGrrrrl500 When I was first starting out, I tried on many different brands, including Bloch. I found that Grishko was much better for me personally. If your shoes aren't right for your feet, your feet could get damaged. I hope your instructor and you can reach a compromise.

  • So nice!

  • i have bloch serenades, and getting over the box is easy for me, but breaking in the shank is super-hard! did you find this? and do you think these were easier to break in? or maybe they would be if i didn't get it so hard? :)

a lot of questions i know - but thankyouuu :D

  • @BalletBoo95 Yes, the shank in Bloch Serenade is very hard for me too. The Russian Pointes are much easier to break in and get over the box for me. =)

  • @BalletBoo95 I am having the excact same problem!!!!!

  • I have a question on your Bloch was it hard getting over the box on the shoe??

Because i have Bloch right now and I hate them I cant get over my box no matter how hard I try

  • @sweethinata8 Yes, it was VERY hard for me to get over the box in my Bloch shoes. Especially Serenade.

  • @sweethinata8 i have bloch serenades aswell and like you i find them so hard to get over the box! so i think im gonna get russian pointes instead :)

  • hmmm, seem a little tight. my russians really didnt work for me. nice feet though!

BY THE WAY---PLEASE WATCH MY POINTE VIDEO! RATE AND COMMENT :)

  • I just switched from Blochs to Russians and am so happy :)

  • no offence but they look small and wiered

  • How did the Russian Pointes work? did you like them? What did you like about them? What did you not like about them? I'm asking because I'm thinking of trying out Russian Pointes. Anyone is free to answer my questions and tell me what they thought of their Russian Pointes.

  • @Balletgirlhopepointe I like them alot! These shoes in this video were to small, but other than that they are great shoes with a really flat, smooth platform and a very pretty color! I recommend the 'medium hard flexible' shank, because I got a pair with a hard flexible shank and it was much more difficult to get over the box. That's just me though. =)

  • Your shoes are too small, and you need to have them broken in properly.

  • Russians are awesome :) I love mine to death

  • you have nice foot:)

  • Really nice I prefer the first Bloch pair I think the Russian pointes look good but I've never liked the shape of Russian pointe , I think it looks really boxy and thick I prefer narrow and delicate

  • was that your dog walking infrom of the camera at 0:34?? haha whats his ( or her) name?

  • those look wayyy too small!!! but your arch is pretty amazing!! :)

  • The russians suit your feet better. I never liked bloch pointe shoes, they felt awkward and just didn't suit my feet - I think a lot of people feel the same. I'm not sure why, but nearly every dancer I know had either blochs or gambas to start with - and none of them have had a good review. I have freeds at the moment - so much nicer :)

  • Hiya. i just wanted to say i've watched ur other vid's and i think you have lovely arches and get over the box very well :) i just got Russian pointe's today and i'm supposed to start pointe this summer, so how do you like ur Russian's and got any pointers?? it'd be awesome if u answered :) Thanks!

  • wayyyy tooo small!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i like how the dog walked by. he/she is very cute! your really good too

  • The russians look very nice on your feet. Beautiful arch! I don't think Blochs are bad. All pointe shoes are different for everyone. I have Bloch Balance Europeans & i love them!! My feet are wide & i have short toes so i guess thats why they work for me. Ive been on pointe for 3 yrs & have tried 5 different kinds of pointe shoes. The balance europeans are the best ive had so far. I do recommend trying a lot of different kinds to find the ones that suit you the best. Keep up the good work!! =)

  • wow you are so turned in i cant even stand it!

  • when your going up on ur echappes your turnout dissapears

  • you have nice feet but the pointe shoes are way too small... you wont be able to bend it properly because its too small for you.. try a bigger size.. russian pointe shoes are the best i have two pairs as well...

  • Sorry to say, but these are farrrr to small for you! your foot is cramped, you can see the way your foot is sitting in the shoe :/

  • i have russian pointe entradas. what do you have?and mine are really slippery are yours?

  • good job and i luv ur dog! lol(:

  • Things you've got.

    Great pointe technique.

    Beautiful pointe shoes.

    A cute dog lol.

  • @ilovelibertyTYC

Things you've got no.2 New shoes that are

    a) very expensive

    b) wrong for the technique

    c) obviously and ridiculously way too small

    d) for someone who is only bothered about admiring their feet in the mirror

  • @custardaghost ok, ok, jeesh :/

  • i have those leg warmers :P
