This is a very well-executed midcycle refresh of the much maligned Sebring. I think it will offer a nice conservative, understated alternative to the more extreme styling found in other midsize rivals like the Hyundai Sonata, Mazda 6, Ford Fusion, and Kia Optima. This car will likely attract customers who would like to move upmarket from a Chevrolet Malibu or those who find the Buick Lacrosse too large. A high-quality interior must be present, though, for it to be a success.
@DrCadetgray I like your observation and hadn't thought of it quite that way, but I think you are correct. Allot of the other cars out there have gotten too extreme in their styling. Understated elegance.
@HuckFoly Interesting that you replied today, because we just drove home from the dealership in a new 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited. We test drove it against a Malibu and found the Chrysler to be much more refined. It is the most relaxing travel car I have drove in many years. The build quality is excellent and the V6 is wonderful compared to the Malibu's 4. I couldn't believe Chevy was charging $2k more.
@DrCadetgray I agree and while it took a week to work out with the dealer, I picked up a limited last Sat. The drive and refinement of the car are much more than can be shown in videos and pictures. The car has a much more upscale feel to it than it's price would lead one to believe. I feel like they could easily charge 5K more for the limited. Congrats and enjoy!
