  • This is the only version not released on dvd as a tie-in to the new Burton film and I can see why..it's looks too low budget..with bad acting, watch the Paramount version and see the best version of the story.

  • Is it me or are they actually reading their lines ??

  • Maybe with the new Tim Burton film out enough interest will be generated to make a DVD out of it--I couldn't be that hard to do

  • I have been wanting to see this for years as well! The AFI Catalog lists this as "print viewed", so it must be out there somewhere! I have been hoping all along that at least some bargain basement label could put it out on a cheap DVD. So, now I know that Ruth Roland was not only the first talkie Alice, but probably the only Valley Girl Alice!

  • @CrummyCurtis There's at least one print at the UCLA Film and Television Archive, but I was hoping to find an easier way to see this film.

  • @SixteenMilliMeter I uploaded the whole film, just look it up.

  • THANK YOU for this. I've been searching for a copy of the 1931 "Alice" starring Ruth Gilbert for years. Any chance of getting to see the whole thing?
