erm i was 15 when i started, i know it seems cliche but i saw shakira and thought wow! "what kind of dancing is that?" so id copy her not knowing what it was, that same year i went to turkey and saw two bellydancers and it clicked, i was one of the tourists who got up to dance with them- it shocked them at how gud i was. its in my blood, im roma like didem the bellydancer, i started bellydancing because i cud just move that way and it all stems from my past life. i took no classes. so thank you!

this was only dancing for friends for fun, she put on greek music and it was for a laugh. i dont need classes, ive been a belly dancer for 7 years, performed in cyprus and the uk and i know many routines- my favourite type of music is drum solo and lebanese. but thank you, and actually i was turned down in a class the lady said i was too good and didnt need her help and id get bored.

where did you find your skirt and that blue thing tied around your waist. and how long did it take you to teach yourself?? that was the coolest thing ever! btw

my skirts came from cyprus, i find loads of indian type skirts/gypsy skirts, the green skirt around my jeans is a wrap around, its my fave and my lucky skirt, and then the blue things are silk veils i made myself- i veil spin with them.

thankyou so much, i am not sure how long it took to teach myself, when you love something you just do it dont you? but ive been self taught since i was 15, i am now nearly 24. i just train for 4 hours every other night. thank you for your lovely comment.

oh ym gosh thank you so much, my friends wanted to me to go on britains got talent but i dont want to embarass myself and be another sophie mei, i resepct the dance too much to know i am not middle eastern (altho my heritage is) and that no matter how gud i could be, i know in way there are so many middle eastern women who are better.

i cant believe you prefer me to didem, she is incredible im rubbish in comparrison to her.
