very nice video and project, i want to build also and give to my wife as present, because her name is victoria meaning victory hehehehehe so pls. can you send me the plan, i can build it without buying the kit i want to build it as my own design just need plan can you send to me in email thanks berlin ramirez of saudi arabia my email ver1234ever@yahoo.com
that ship even tho its perfectly balanced will not sail, the gaps in the wood will let water in...if u want it toflat leave it in the water for a couple of days and the wood will set in...then it MIGHT float
Or he could water proof it. I doubt he could find strips of leather (called caulking, what they used on real wooden ships) that small. Maybe some type of glue, or varnish.
It is the Victory. I am getting tired of twats claiming it is something else. Yes I know the colours are not correct. I would rather see the wood than cover with paint. If you are such an 'expert' surely you would recognise it?
Most impressive! Not only is your skill and patience obvious w/this outstanding model, it is equally represented with your video presentations. Entertaining, informative, and definitely inspirational to prospective builders! Thanks for sharing it! Mike, S.W. Florida, U.S.A.
Thank you so much, progress on the model has slowed due to work commitments and house move. Plus that its more of a winter project. should be back on track in the next 4-5 weeks. Not sure what to do with the finished article as yet. It is quite large, 1.3 metres long, 1 metre high, any suggestions?
I'm no expert, but there are some great "action" prints of her on ebay that you could perhaps display above/behind the model. They range in price from cheap to hundreds. Have fun! Mike.
Fantastic ! Your skill and attention to detail wonderful. You must be a very patient person. What will become of the finished project and where does one go from here? Ben from New Zealand.
It is a kit, only the metal is done for you, ie cannon barrels. Only a small amount of the wood is precut. Definatly not for beginners! Cool comments, thanks
@Hoggamadog im half way through the victory but i scratch built it, i would have use plans but i didnt know they were available ,,, are you going to make your sea worthy mine is i also using rc controll so i can sail it round my bay , i used the bamboo slats from a blind for the decking and mostly cedar for the rest and some other types of wood i cant identifie she should be done soon and sailing i hope before the winter , i have a hard time find things like cannons and riggings ,ect
How much does this weigh? Was it hard to move around while you were building it?

Hoggamadog,
have seen all your videos of the Victory, she looks superb. It will be stunning when she is fully rigged. A credit to your skill and patience.
