You get angry because you can't release, and the anger just makes you want to do it more. Panic attacks, chest tight. All kinds of things. Eventually the feeling does pass, but it always comes back.

I would hold the anger in for as long as possible, but I knew that as soon as I was in a situation where I could, I would cut worse because I'd been holding it in so long. When I couldn't cut, I would panic, I wouldn't breathe properly because my chest was tight and painful, my head hurt, the room would spin, and I would just sit there, rocking whilst looking at my wrists and imagining the blood pouring out of them.

its does become an addiction sometimes and harder to stop after that. but for me it was helpful.

@chibichi66 It's kind of hard to explain, tbh. And I'm sure it's different from person to person. But it's a very frantic feeling. Your heart races, the urge gets stronger. You get angry because you can't release, and the anger just makes you want to do it more. Panic attacks, chest tight. All kinds of things. Eventually the feeling does pass, but it always comes back.

I would hold the anger in for as long as possible, but I knew that as soon as I was in a situation where I could, I would cut worse because I'd been holding it in so long. When I couldn't cut, I would panic, I wouldn't breathe properly because my chest was tight and painful, my head hurt, the room would spin, and I would just sit there, rocking whilst looking at my wrists and imagining the blood pouring out of them.
