  • Hal Stein died on April 27, 2008 at his home in Oakland, CA. A memorial concert is planned.

    What years was he playing out here?

  • he was a white cat,studied with lenny tristano and was known around northbeach. by the time i knew him he was pretty much a street cat/wino.this was late 60's.he was a rather sad case but he could blow man.
