I agree that the ubber rich in this country don`t pay enough tax , although I cannot agree with this we will tax the better off stance . I have worked my balls off for 25 years sometimes earning a pittence . I believe you get out what you put in . I now have a decent job through hard work and sacrafices , have I to pay more tax for lard arse next door who hasn`t made an effort for 15 years , I don`t think so .
I left the S.S.P because I couldnt support the local candidate who is vehemently against scottish independance, I like what youve got to say Kevin, and the other party members, but I wont be voting for a candidate who lives in millionaire row, whilst I struggle as an unemployed single parent,we all know about the tax situation,I think that the S.S.P. will fold after this election, the loss of £5000 in deposits is out of order, sad because there will be a huge vote to the right
@theneil100 The SSP is committed to Scottish Independence-this was even more solidily ingrained in policy at recent conference.
I don't understand "millionaires row" comment - the SSP have no millionaire candidates.
The SSP will not fold after this awareness raising election campaign. Scots will not knowingly vote rightwing... they are being fooled by Labour, Libdems and SNP who are no longer leftwing, but give the pretence they are - supported by RW media.
@nwsocialist the libs just had a swing of 9% putting clegg 2 points behind cameron, with two more leader debates to go,you could end up with a lib landslide, and labour annihilated,a massive swing to the right, bnp getting mps in,the left has to look at itself and restart, the ssp is not the answer, the shift in politics corealates with a weak left which has itself become liberal par excelence, bring up immigration or the religious rights of a christian, policies that the bnp are addressing
@theneil100 I think your post is more a reflection of your political swing rather than the SSPs & personal disagreement with the candidate.Ally Hendry is working class guy from Livingston.
The house I live in is, according the the market, worth £0.125m - no reflection of my wealth-more a reflection of capitalist society needing 2keep millions of us in debt for 30+ years& fact that there is no social alternative 2housing.
@nwsocialist some of the ssp parade as working class, and you live in a bought house,I live in a council house,go on the waiting list, there are plenty of council houses, too many of you people criticising the working class, like I say anytime anybody questions the ssp about its immigration policy, you get called right wing, thats why,the 10 candidates that you have up for election will struggle to get 2000 votes between them, because you are hyper liberal, the ssp is not the communist party
@theneil100 Just because you have bought a house doesn't mean you aren't working class. You might not be the poorest of the poor but it doesn't make you rich.
@nwsocialist@nwsocialist I don't know that the Libdems and SNP are supported by the rightwing media but the Tories an Labour certainly are. Nick Clegg was a total uknown to everyday people because of the right wing murdocracy papers. He got on TV and now there is a huge Buzz about him. Not saying that I will be voting Libdem but I don't know if you can chuck them in the same camp as Labour and The Tories.
