  • I don't know if they are still active but I had joined a Bible Study based support group for the chronically ill in yahoo groups called Hope Keepers Online. I'm sure you're all hooked up with everything you need. Just wanted to pass it on.

Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way.

  • Lyme triggered lupus for me. Main symptoms (post treatment): joint swelling, pain, fatigue, and HAIR LOSS. Two months of Plaquenil, and my hair loss has stopped. Considering how well prednisone worked for you, you might want to talk to your doctor about getting tested for autoimmune diseases. I believe in chronic Lyme, but I've also found a lot of research that indicates autoimmune disease can occur as a result of Lyme infection. God bless.

  • I would really like to talk to you... I'm having the same experience <3

  • thank you for all your information i know about prednazone i have to use every day too your videos are very inspireing keep up the good work hopefully one day they will find a cure

  • Have courage and I pray for you ♥

  • The Holy Spirit speaks:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

  • Acts 4:13

"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus."

It is obvious that you dear sister, have been with Jesus. People are taking note of this. Your mission is being fulfilled and the Lord goes with you due to your obedience to glorify Him.

  • Hey VK, sorry to hear this is giving you such a hard time. I don't know enough to offer you any advice, but I'll be praying for you.

  • I'm sending you a friend request, because i'd like to send you a pm about this...i'm no 'expert'! LOL I just wanted to say thanks for posting this...I have been struggling with symptoms and problems like this for years...the fact that you got a diagnosis and answers gives me hope. Thank you VK. :)

  • Take care and only use predensone sp?

for a short time-It lead to my moms death due to how it weakens and kills off organs after prolonged use-bless ya!

  • I will keep you in my thoughts and prayer.

  • You're in my prayers, VK!

  • I've watched this twice now and it still breaks my heart. I'm at a loss for words because I just do'nt like to see you suffer. I know you are handling this well, but it still bothers me. I'm am glad to hear your mother is a doctor. What a plus there! About your hair. Maybe your mother already told you, but sometimes the hair loss stops. Asuming its from the Predisone. The Predisone might balance out your weight too. It can make you hungry. Know that I am praying for you sweetheart. God Bless you

  • cute n wispsy, for sure; you look awesome, but cute n wispy would look SO cute on you. forget this, just stylish

  • Pls email me, I want to talk to you about this, but I lost all gmail on switch to Mac?

  • Thankyou for taking the time to share your experience. It actually has been helpful. My lil' sister was diagnosed with lyme and treated when she was young. For the most part she has been symptom free for decades. Recently, she has been experiencing symptom(similar to what you have described) that her doctors have labeled arthritic. After watching your vid.s, I had suggested to her that she should be tested again for a Lyme. I or her may have never thought of this if not for your info. :)

  • Hang in there, VK. You will get through this. I'm glad the prednisone helped, and that your parents have been so supportive in offering assistance to you.

    Good job on the video.

Another tick borne disease people know little about is human Ehrlichiosis (I did a paper on this years ago for a micro class). Back then, only the CDC tested for . It was often mistaken as lyme... probably still is. The treatment is pretty much the same, though.

  • Please know you're in my thoughts, and I hope you're recovery is swift.

  • My lady of awesome you be.

  • PS: Someone wants proof of your illness? Wow, I didn't think it was people's business to have it unless they're your attending physician. Well, that's youtube trolls for ya.

Or as I like to call them "polli malakis", lol.

    I'll pray for you.

  • Holy crap. I hope you feel better soon.

  • I have known a number of people who have had Lyme's disease it can certainly be a serious problem. If you don't have energy to read you might try listening to some of the BBC programs which are available free online. Beyond Belief is a particularly good series. Google: "Ernie Rea explores the place of faith in today's world, teasing out the hidden and often contradictory truths behind the experiences, values and traditions of our lives."

  • What a strong and brave lady you are. It is wonderful to watch how you deal with these problems. its an inspiration. Stay strong good and kind lady. One of my favs on YouTube always will be. Warm and loving regards,

  • Thinking about you,

    Don

  • Oh My- Keep the faith sis- and thanks for informing us- what a gem you are to think of informing others as you do not have to do that- as for the trolls- how amazing and idiotic~ not worth your thoughts- Just keep positive and around folks who love you- thank God for your supportive family and friends around you sis- God bless you. Agape for now- Rebecca

  • PS- I think these things help us understand what the Lord went through- certainly not because He puts it on us- just as a side effect... one of the things you may find in all of this is what unbelievers are like- the suspicious evilness of that- the Lord had to deal with this ad nauseum and so did His disciples- What did He do? I guess He handled every case in context as led by the Holy Spirit in trust and so obeying the Father Will...Anyway- just my extra thoughts- free associations- GBU- RM

  • look good!!! chipper....

  • Your attitude is such a testimony! :) Love you sis. Keep on making videos. You *will* help someone.

  • I am shocked someone demanded proof, goodness. I do understand your heartbreak of not being able to stand during worship. I know a gal from our church that has been living with Lyme for over 20 years - Bless her heart. She told me a story of walking in her yard and dropping to the ground and not being able to move, she could only lay there until her husband came home. I can't imagine the effects fully. Yep, You have to be happy. Keeping you in my prayers!

  • I love your attitude. I hope you show some of your scarves if you start to wear them. I'm so glad your mom is taking such good care of you. xox - Beth

  • Yes!!!!

"And yet shall I praise Him." Glory to our Father dear sister.

    You are awesome.

  • Praise God sis you look so much better than your last video.

You are always in my prayers sis.

    Agape, donny

  • you are still such a beautiful lady inside and out, hair no hair, your smiling spirit shines through. SO brave!!!

    Blessings

    Tara

  • Lily I am sorry tis is happening to you. I hope your family, friends and faith sustain you in order to deal with this maddening disease. You are in my thoughts.

  • Hi VK,

You are truly an inspiration to me and I thank you for that. You may find this hard to believe, but I am actually allergic to Prednisone and I too have been told that it is impossible to allergic to this drug, but I am living proof (no pun intended) of it. It actually causes me to go into anaphylactic shock...go figure, LOL!

    Keeping you in my prayers,

    your brother in Christ,

    Jeff

  • VK, do not hesitate in making videos. I love hearing from you regarding your condition, and what you have to say!

  • I'm just writing showing support for you. You will be up and about sooner or later, I believe. God is gracious. It's ridiculous someone asked for prove for your illness. There is no reason to fake this illness. It's not like you're saying you broke a Guiness world of records.

  • I hope you feel better.

  • Well I just love you sis and you are beautiful inside and out.....you are in my prayers always and if you need me just let me know.....you know Ariel is usually around somewhere online ;)

  • hey lily. anybody demanding proof is just... ahem.

sorry your hairs still coming out =(. youre still one of the prettiest people i know hair or no hair.

i want to reach through the screen and just give you a big hug.i like your jeans and sweater you look spiffy.=P

    ttyl.

  • you would look beautiful with no hair...

    take good care and peace2U

  • The only thing I know about Lyme disease is that I wish it would leave you alone.

We have been so very blessed to add you to the congregation that meets with us on line and continue to pray for your complete healing.

  • Hey VK,its sad to think that there are some people out there are thinking this is all a drama ,you do look very thin in the shoulders, all i can say is if you need someone to talk to ,if you get that bored then you can bother me anytime you like ,i wont mind :-),providing im around ,of course , (i work shifts ),actualy im wondering if i should move my schedule forward a bit ,what do i mean ?, lets just say ,if my editing program was a parot ,it would know every swear word under the sun ,!

  • Since beauty comes from within you will always be pretty miss kitty. Best wishes on your struggles.

  • I continue to pray for you. That you will have relief from pain, that the infections will be driven out of your body, that strength will build. Healing is occurring in your body and light and truth is burning away all of the darkness of infection. Fear of course cannot abide in you as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil.

May you continue to fight the fight physically and spiritually and may others with the same disease be victorious as well. Amen

  • Do you know HeidiSaid? She should watch these videos because she lives in the woods and I think she has mentioned ticks in a few videos.

  • No I don't know her but please forward this...I am pretty sure I got it in my parents' front yard.

  • wow I'm going to have to research Lyme disease!!!!!

  • Yes you will because FMS is a common misdiagnosis before getting a Lyme diagnosis.

  • is this something that you get over?

  • I am pretty sure I've only had it for 5 months so I have a good chance of beating it. Sadly, many patients go years before they are identified and they will never beat it but die from it.

  • blessings

  • A wise muppet should always call her Mom

    :-)

  • God speed.
