However, Animated Wingblade Optimus Prime has been confirmed to be based on God Ginrai. Had the series continued, he apparently would have gotten a full combining trailer upgrade like God Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime.

@AeonMagnus i have been wondering about that to, but wouldn't it make sense that God Ginrai`s power, where weaken when he and ginra separated, sins without Ginrai, God Ginrai couldn't`t use :

jinchōkon aka the power of humanity. witch ginrai also mention in the battle with hydra and Buster.

This would explain why ginrai wasen`t able to deafet Dezaru and why he was weaker in the Victory

just an opinion though but its the one i think make moste sense.

@blogsurvival In Transformers: Victory he was badly wounded and was re-built as Victory Leo, however the two remain seperate robots in the manga version of Victory.

I was wondering about this, is Godbomber permanently connected to Ginrai like a Gundam? 'Cause he doesn't seem to disconnect himself from Godbomber in Victory

They're pair-bonded, but they're not _supposed_ to be permanently physically connected; Godbomber has his own robot mode. The problem is they didn't explain what happened to Godbomber when the transtectors became sentient at the end of Masterforce. The others imprinted from their human counterparts, but Godbomber was a drone. It seems like they kept Ginrai in God Ginrai mode during Victory possibly to try and avoid explaining what happens to Godbomber when Ginrai is reformatted into Victory Leo.

Godbomber was originally absent from the U.S. toy release, where it was Powermaster Optimus Prime instead of Ginrai. It was added into the re-issue as Apex Bomber, and sold as "Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor".

"Apex Prime" is a fan creation to try and resolve the PM Optimus Prime/Apex Bomber toy vs the Masterforce and Victory cartoons clearly treating Ginrai as not being Optimus Prime (eg: originating as human). Sort acknowledging it looks like Prime, but it's not THE Prime.

It's not Optimus Prime, it's a lifeless robot that resembles him. Ginrai is the name of the human who pilots it.

"God" has nothing to do with religion or deities. It essentially means "power". So, "Godmaster" is basically the same as "Powermaster". This also applies to Godbomber and God Magnus (aka RID Ultra Magnus).
