I"m a Satanist for the last 4 years or so, and I'm 34 as of this last Sat. Let me say this, i think This song is more about Bullying and kids having a bad home life and the lord, the kid is begging for help. He is begging for help and is not getting it anywhere even from the lord, he's saying that he'll 'make the 'sacrafice' ( why should he have to sacrafice anything for help from your lord?) That is one of the reasons I converted to Satanism. I love this song and the band still.

I was bullied a lot in school, from which I just graduated recently. I was kind of a douche back then, but I only did it to be liked by others. Heard a small portion of this song only a few days ago and came searching for it; found a whole new group that might be worth listening to. Nice feel, decent lyrics, not a bad video, cool vocals. Glad I found it, and Youtube isn;t trying to hawk money off these guys just yet.

I"m a Satanist for the last 4 years or so, and I'm 34 as of this last Sat. Let me say this, i think This song is more about Bullying and kids having a bad home life and the lord, the kid is begging for help. He is begging for help and is not getting it anywhere even from the lord, he's saying that he'll 'make the 'sacrafice' ( why should he have to sacrafice anything for help from your lord?) That is one of the reasons I converted to Satanism. I love this song and the band still.

The song is about treating our sufferings in life as small sacrifices for Jesus Christ, who made the ultimate sacrifice by dying for our sins. It also teaches that making sacrifices in life bring a greater glory for oneself after death. Besides, 12 Stones is a Christian band. I'm not sure how you would get Satanic message out of this.

If he had been a pessimist, he could've just killed himself when he felt like it, but what good would suicide do? All he would be doing is running away from his problems, but he isn't. We should learn to brush off our problems in life and look to tomorrow instead of lamenting on yesterday.

@GrimReaper30 Bullying shouldn't be taken lightly. When I mentioned the suicide part, I was referring to the choices that could've been made by the victims themselves; including me. I was bullied a lot in school, from which I just graduated recently. I was kind of a douche back then, but I only did it to be liked by others. Instead, I got beat up and hurt, but I learned to move on! I know its weird taking advice from an 18 year old, but, trust me, its better not to look back at the past!

He is describing the weight that sin has put on him and that he hates it, and needs Christ, how his spirit calls out to him. When he is talking about changing, is the tell tale sign from our observation that he is saved. Its not for anything that he is doing, but what Christ has done for him. If you have no brokenness over sin then you dont understand what this song means.

@theaussieck I NEVER said they make bad music, actually I LOVE them, I'm a Satanist, but still, I do not feel that they are a christian band, I do not get that feeling, I also love their other song "We Are One". If I really felt something Christian from them I would not listen to them. Creed is the same way.

@GrimReaper30 Its a Christian song. He describes how he hates how he feels and that he knows he needs God in his life. He is describing the weight that sin has put on him and that he hates it, and needs Christ, how his spirit calls out to him. When he is talking about changing, is the tell tale sign from our observation that he is saved. Its not for anything that he is doing, but what Christ has done for him. If you have no brokenness over sin then you dont understand what this song means.

@GrimReaper30 - I didnt ask for his sacrfice, but he loves me enough to give his life up for me. Neither of us can comprehend what he gave up for us. It doesnt matter what you say or do, Jesus Christ still and always loves you. God is at times very angry with us, but still he loves us as his children. And believe it or not athiests are saved from their sin everyday, same goes for every "religion", There are not many paths to salvation, there is only One, but Jesus can travel many paths too you.
