  • Are heli's hard to fly? I'm scared to start, and will I be able to do professional competitions soon if I start now?

  • Picking up on your comment about the Realflight fake controller Richard, of course it doesn't have an optional gimbal set-up, doesn't trim very well and has no provision for playing with expo, throttle curves, timer etc etc etc. At least my DX7 should be able to 'do its thing' with Phoenix :-) Gotta go with Richard folks, while it's raining, you're fed up with the tv, haven't anything to read - fly the sim until the sight of it makes you vomit (and that's just from a 'plank' aspect). :-)

  • Further to my earlier post, a Phoenix sim is top of the shopping list after the HK500GT (the 'outdoor' helo) arrives on the doorstep in the next few days.

  • Just wanted to say that as a 'planker' switching to 'twirling', I'm finding these videos both interesting and informative. Two points - rudder/tail rotor, perhaps a simpler way of saying what this does is that its a corrective tool (too much input equals a mistake not a correction); second, choice of sim - RealFlight and W7 don't like each other when it comes to helis!! I practise on an MSR indoors rather than use the sim (which is fab for the 'planks' incidentally!).

  • fabulous videos.... love this guy.... saves people loads of money from crashes

  • Su sir deserve being called Teacher !!! So what flight simulator you consider de best ? I have the AeroFly Pro Deluxe and Im not good a it , BTW I use a PS3 controller (maybe thats why) because Im getting my Heli next week

  • Thank you so much for the nice comment.

I am using Phoenix Flight Sim, but am frustrated I cannot get multiplayer to work behind my router. It is a pretty realistic flight sim though. I use it a lot!

  • any one manage to get there controller to run on a simulator using windows 7? I cant use XP mode because I am using RC

  • Dude, your wicked! Iove the homemade sing as your back drop:) Um, The viewers here in Miami would prefer you use a real heli to show us and not that stick and card gadget? We don't think that's FAA approved device..Also when I attached a dvd to my Blade400 it didn't fly as well? Cheers~Janick

  • Right on. I am going to re-do all of the videos with real heli vids soon. Stay tuned.

  • Thanks for the praise. The vids are not very polished, but they are free. I am really glad to be able to help people learn.

  • before you move to lazy eight or figure eight maneuver, it help in term of confidence if you master both the right n left side hovering first. meaning, you are comfortable with hovering n moving ur heli side ways. good vid there man. keep it up.

  • Very true! Thanks for emphasizing that.

  • Yes! SIMULATOR! SIMULATOR! Very good man, very good! Tell them!
