Can't believe this was on Parrot! Could there be a Tom Jones cover lurking somewhere in the vaults? All told it really don't matter! This is complete in it's greatness! One more thing that we have the late great Lux Interior of The Cramps to be thankful for! RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYGGGGGGGGGGGEEE!
@RedVynil My point was that I never would've heard the tune at all if it weren't for The Cramps excavating the tune. Hearing the original is icing on the grave!
@quieterrps I see! Sorry, mate. I've only had the chance to hear a few of the Cramps' records ("Human Fly" was my fave!), so I never knew they did this song. (It DOES sound like their style!!) When you've got 50,000 records like I do, you HAVE to be picky about what you buy due to lack of space. I liked The Cramps, but wasn't enough of a fan to buy everything they did.

Haha! The band probably didn't take themself too seriously considering that the vocals sound growled and not quite serious. Death metal bands must have thought very different about that. :P
Late 1964...I do remember it well. I believe the "singer" was a former professional wrestler, which might explain it all! How does one "Do the Eye Gouge"?
I've never heard this song played as an oldie on any radio stations...ever. I guess they were afraid kids would act out all the lyrics lol.

Heard a time or two on Dr. Demento. This is one of the more valuable HOT 100 singles--a good copy fetches over 100 bucks.

Why did Crypt take "Crater Soda" off Back From The Grave Vol. 2? I can't find that fucker anywhere, and it's not on the reissues!
