People love cars too much and we are a society and economy based on cars. I mean there manufacturers and mechanics and car goods retailers,. If almost no one drove a car probably 1 quarter of the economy would collapse. I love cars and with that US auto bailout and cahs for clunkers it made it easier and cheaper to buy a car and the government wonders why more people aren't driving less
