But why the difference between Iraq and Kuwait?
1) Bush administration (rather than Clinton) was in charge of Iraq & did not plan for the peace. 2) Iraq is a much larger country. 3) Iraq is much more divided than Kuwait. 4) Iraq invasion involved a complete restructuring of the government, not the mere restoration of a briefly exiled government (Kuwait).

It's horrible what we did to Iraq, and what we continue to do daily. It was not liberation. It was invasion. They thought it would be easy to topple Saddam Hussein and take control of Iraq's resources. What we got was renewed attention from Al-Quaeda and an endless, bloody war. Iraq has to bear the brunt for the United States policy of greed. I truly don't know if it would be best for the US to leave or if we should stay and try to clean up the mess we made.

I agree that much of the fault in Iraq is with the U.S.'s (Bush's) poor planning.
But why the difference between Iraq and Kuwait?
1) Bush administration (rather than Clinton) was in charge of Iraq & did not plan for the peace. 2) Iraq is a much larger country. 3) Iraq is much more divided than Kuwait. 4) Iraq invasion involved a complete restructuring of the government, not the mere restoration of a briefly exiled government (Kuwait).
I hope for the Iraqi people and for peace in Iraq.

It's horrible what we did to Iraq, and what we continue to do daily. It was not liberation. It was invasion. They thought it would be easy to topple Saddam Hussein and take control of Iraq's resources. What we got was renewed attention from Al-Quaeda and an endless, bloody war. Iraq has to bear the brunt for the United States policy of greed. I truly don't know if it would be best for the US to leave or if we should stay and try to clean up the mess we made.

After 9/11 there was a frenzy of racism against Arabs which disturbed me. I was about 12 years old and even I knew that the signs which read "nuke 'em all" were wrong. I think we have two different definitions for the word.
To me, the term 'hillbilly' means 'someone who makes quick non-critical thinking decisions and is unable to listen to others, ever.'

(I'm not insulting you, but other posters) I think what you meant to say is that most Americans ARE hillbillies. It is a very small percentage who can form their own thoughts and opinions and NOT take everything the media says as fact. Biigest embarrassment? The negetive comments are left by ppl, who's native and ONLY language is English, yet they still can't seem to speak it and lack the ability to spell. Profanity and broken English...way to prove Americans aren't ignorant.

GiveMeanEncore, yes that is exactly right. The east is low on democracy. I believe in responsibility. I do not believe in denial. Denial do not solve problems. The biggest problem of east is denial and blaming others for our own issues. We need to take charge and face our problems.

I love you grafinia. Are you in Iraq? The same goes for the goodlooking man from Songs of Pain. The bad thing is that the western media has a big influence on people and their opinion. The west thinks they have a monopoly on democracy. But the democracy isn't all that it is cracked up to b. Especially when the Bobo's go to fight a war without your conscent or when they change the valuta the way they did with the Euro. But thanks for your witty response. You go girl!!
