intermezzo, 3rd movement of this world known best work by Edouard Lalo, who composed this concert for Spanish violinist and composer Pablo Sarasate who premiered it in Paris on february 7th, 1875, with a brillisnt orchestration, it raises enthusiasm wherever it´s played
Her sound is amazing, its very sweet. Her vibrato is very fast and pretty sounding. Each part flows into another withhout any awkward silence. I konw she is a professinoal but as far as professionals go this has got to be one of the best recordings ive heard of this piece. She really captures the spanish side of this music.
Assertive, dark, sensuous sound--her violin itself is slightly subdued, not bright, and the music she puts into it settles in the air like undispersed smoke still hanging in the room--I like it.
I enjoyed her first two movements - she is a very fine musician that is obviously well trained. However, I don't like the way she plays this movement. I think she has the wrong approach and attitude. One of the things that makes this movement my favorite is that it contains the most fire and passion out of the entire concerto - neither of which I hear too much abundance of here.
fix the bow arm and the stress in the chin/neck area and you're g2g... sounded great but looked painful.

@Mertzu
You're right, its no beauty contest. But you won't be playing for very long if you're constricting yourself like that.

poor violin, if she constricts it any more with that neck it will break.
