Everyone looks good a certain way, that's perfectly fine! And normal! :) Maybe you should experiment with different eras, one is bound to look fine on you... especially if you toss in a modern vibe with certain accessories or elements :)

My hair is actually pretty bad at holding curl too, unless I set my hair over night and use some sort of setting lotion... my curls go "kaput" in just an hour or two! I don't know if you've tried an over night setting or now, but if you haven't... that should help :)

Thank you! More like the late 60's... Retro is anything from the 60's-80's, and there were a lot of messy, big hairstyles throughout the late 60's and early 70's :)

I can't express how much this helped. Full Dress rehersals for the school play start next week, and our directors have one heck of a time figuring out what to do with my hair, because it's SO thick (I can't get it into a bun.) and SO layered (on account of the thickness.) But this actually works, for my hair and my character!

I have very Asian hair, and it's *extremely* thick... so I have to curl it in layers, just to cut my time down. But since I am never too worried about perfection from this hairstyle, it usually takes me about 10-15 minutes :)

Not a stupid question at all!! With curly hair, I would simply run my fingers through it, pushing up at the scalp to loosen the curls and add volume - Just mess those curls up a little! haha :)
