1. Landowners do it to keep down pests e.g. rabbits on farms (i'm sure you wouldn't complain if all your food wasn't in the shops because the rabbits got there first)

2. Shooting food is alot cheeper than buying meat from the butchers or supermarket

@freddypossy you are such a retard. Where does the meat or fowl you buy in a shop come from? Santa Claus? The Tooth Fairy? I would think you'd know a thing or two about fairies! These men obviously put in a lot of effort in very harsh weather to kill a couple of duck to eat. If man wasn't hunting ducks they would have been wiped out years ago through habitat destruction. These men are the real conservationists. The fact the RSPB appeared in the film would seem to me that they agree.
