@peterpan5031 The drummer they mention in the episode, Mike Kowalski, first joined the touring band in 1968 as a percussionist. He was the replacement for Dennis in the years leading up to his death and became the full time drummer for the band after his passing. He stayed with the touring group until 2007.
The part where the BBs were supposedly rehearsing a new song and Stamos couldn't read the charts is actually the boys playing the chords to ' Problem Child "
@80sCommercialVault You're right ! I am mistaken. I used to have this on VHS ( remember VHS ?? lol) and forsome reason I was thinking they were getting ready for Problem child. Thank you for the correction, Sir ! John
Total Lip-Synch on "California Dreamin'" No wonder Mike Love is standing with his back to the audience with the alto. He can't play any instrument except his voice.
Yeah, everything's lip synched here, as the whole "concert" was staged for the show. "California Girls" and "Surfin' USA" are taken from other live shows and "California Dreamin'" is taken straight from the single.
Yeah right, Mike can't play the sax THAT well!

Wow. I've waited 25 years to see this episode. I was at the concert where they filmed it, but never saw the episode.

@BeachBoysGuy1 The chords don't sound very similar to me. Also, "Problem Child" wasn't released until 1990.
