I keep videos like this up because they are an archive of my progress. Sure the snare is tuned badly in this video. But they allow me and others to see how much I've grown. The tuning is fine, it's the E-Ring that kills it as they don't allow tone to come out of the drum. You are the one that needs to grow up.

@Harm88 It may look unorthodox, but I get along just fine the way it is. I don't know why everyone makes a big deal out of grip. Unless I'm doing something that will injure myself, (which I'm not) why does it matter? I think people need to stop focusing on dumb things and just play the drums.

@girotube I've taken the ring off, I like it much better without. I almost never have it cranked like in the video. It's usually between medium and high. Because of the genre I play, (metal) I want the snare to sound like a "gun shot." No, the camera mic isn't the best, but I'm a 17 year old kid without a job. There is no way I can afford to record my drums with even cheap equipment. The camera is the best I have. ;)

Never too late to share buddy! Try one with a SM57 or an i5 mic ($99) because the mic on the camera is not helping...
