Our country (the USA) and the world wouldn't have Rythum and Blues, Rock and Roll and all of the great Blues Music if it wasn't for our Southern Blacks. They gave us the gift of great music created from the hardships and prejudice they endured, a huge (artistic and creative) contribution that people will enjoy forever.
Once again mindless Idiots expressing social and political issues while a great master is playing the blues.Granted these are important issues but there is a time and place.Who gives a fuck what you think.anyway shut the fuck up and enjoy the music!Enough said
@TBeanIV shut the fuck up, cocksucker, i AM german and that douche at the beginning is french or italian or spanish or sumthing like that, but NOT german, you idiot.
and you cant say that germans are all nazis..having prejudices is the beginning of being nazi, i dont call you a fat n stupid idiot either.
@TBeanIV okay, hidler did the shoah, it was a horrible thing, and i agree with you, that hitler was a dumbfuck and i totally agree with you, that his suicide was the best thing that could ever happen to mankind, but what about the racial segregation in the USA between black and white ppl?we are all human, no matter what skin color we have.
and that happened in the sixties,10 or 20 yrs after WW2,where it should have known better.
@Murphy7394 no your still a nazi. germany and german still haven't made up to the world for what hitler did. and uhhh americans weren't the only ones to have racial segregation but atleast we didn't kill people just for there religion or skin color.
@TBeanIV no? you didnt? aah, shut the fuck up, what about all those black pll in the 60's ?
even martin luther king was killed because he was black..maybe not through this horrible system like it happenend through the nazi assholes in ww2 in germany but he was killed too, you dumbfuck.
@TBeanIV "germany and german still haven't made up to the world for what hitler did"
BLA BLA BLA, what about our good relations with Israel?
what about Willy Brandt, who fell on his knees for the polish people which have died, eh?
the only , who is a nazi here, is you, you idiot, because you're talking shit, as the nazis did, you have prejudices, as the nazis had and you have no idea, youre a fucking idiot as the nazis were also.
You hear a snippet of Hideaway just before Little Walter and band start. Film of Little Walter must be rare indeed. Too bad the setting is a bit sterile here.
This is clearly not the best Hound Dog Taylor stuff but it just about the only Little Walter footage you can find. That makes it special even though they are holding themselves back.
Improbable rencontre entre Little Walter le perfectionniste et HDT le plus déjanté des guitariste de blues. L'alchimie ne prend pas mais cela reste une rencontre d'anthologie entre deux légendes du blues
@mcashlv this was back when quality meant something. low quality meant no sales, instead of now how low quality is the standard, and profit is the objective.
Glad no one compared the blues version of Hounddog to the rock n roll version of the hounddog. If it was made any different, it wouldn't be blues, it would be rock n roll or something else. People don't realize, blues has a certain sound. Has to sound bluesy, not peppy like happy go lucky, as if everything is peaches and cream.
Great video but you needed to give "Little Walter" proper credit ... he is not "Little Water." Picky but the man is a legend. He and the "Hound" both "paid their dues."
In a nutshell: Walter can play Houndog's stuff, but Houndog can't play Walter's stuff: Hounddog's guitar takes the dominant role throughout, definitely not in the style best to back up Walter's harp, playing through it all rather than leaving holes & interacting the way Muddy Waters or Louis Myers would. Taylor's fronting the band, so, ok, it's his right. Walter also isn't playing through his own amp. All things considered, (or even not considered), I think he sounds great here.
I agree that it's great to have any footage of Walter at all. I just wish that there was film footage of him from the 1950s, but we know there isn't. Oh, well!
Well, there is film footage of him from the '50s, but it's silent film, I believe.
Man I miss the Dog. Thanks for all the enjoyment you have brought to us. RIP Dog.

Look at it, it's the same video with better sync.
And the right name for the song,
BluesGlamRocker 2 years ago
I don't follow your logic. The audio is clearly Wild About You Baby. His lips are saying something else or it's not synced.
boardrider58 2 years ago 2
Yes i agree, this is Wild About You Baby.
I mean that the link i mentioned also is Wild About You Baby but with better sync and that video are named with the right songname.
Hope you understand me i'm not so god at english.

I think this was filmed shortly before Walter's death, after alcohol had already heavily influenced his playing and lifestyle.
